Sent Into A Famine “We may have bought into a theology that says He’ll always send us somewhere where there’s plenty. And sometimes the greatest compliment He can pay us is to send us into a famine and to say, “If anyone can handle that, you can.” Some of us were born for this America! We should respond with, “If You sent us here to redeem this land, we’ll go fight for every square inch of it!” (Damon Thompson) “So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran. 5 He took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated and the people they had acquired in Harran, and they set out for the land of Canaan, and they arrived there. Now there was a famine in the land.” (Genesis 12:4-5 & 10a; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: America is beginning to experience a move of God—more every day. However, the land is still very dry and there is a famine of the fear of the Lord, which leads to godlessness. Identificationally repent on behalf of America and ask the Lord to send His refreshing rain of the Holy Spirit in the form of His Church taking action – a multitude of raindrops. Pray that the Lord would break the famine of godless government off the nation. Ask the Lord to break the famine caused by immorality off of this nation. A prayer you can pray: Dear Lord, America is experiencing a famine of the Presence of God and all that Your Presence causes to bloom. We are God-less and suffering the lack of fruit that comes with ignoring You. We need the rain of Your Holy Spirit to change this nation. Cause Your Church to be filled with Your Spirit and soak the ground with prayer. We pray for God to be honored in government, welcome in school, and that the fear of the Lord would break immorality off our land! In Jesus’ Name, amen. Today’s decree: God is sending those He trusts into the famine-cursed parts of America, so His Presence in us can turn things around!

Faith Responds in Advance Jesus meets a woman in Luke 7 who’s in a bad situation. Her husband has died and now her son is dead. Before He does anything to change her natural situation, Jesus tells her not to weep. If anyone had a right to weep, she did. This is the funeral of the widow’s only son. Jesus intended for faith to respond to the arrival of presence that announces intervention. Celebrate before the intervention and watch the transformation! (Damon Thompson) “As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, ‘Don’t cry.’” (Luke 7: 12-13; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Bring your most challenging situation to the Lord. Can you find it in yourself to celebrate the Lord’s miraculous answer before you see it? If not, ask Him for the grace to. Bring a challenging situation a friend or family member is facing and do the same. Now, celebrate in advance of a major national issue’s turn-around. A prayer you can pray: Jesus, your presence entering the scene of the widow’s only son’s funeral meant a miracle was about to happen! Grace me to be able to see my challenges as opportunities to invite you to get involved in my life’s most serious moments. Help me to worship You in advance over my friends’ or family members’ hardest situations. Grant me grace to celebrate national turn-arounds in advance of the change, just because I know You are coming on the scene to cause a transformation! Amen. Today’s decree: I celebrate in advance of the miracles I know are coming, Jesus!

He’s Already Turning It Around “Our nation is making the biggest turn-around in history! Let me ask you a question. How are you going to react when we overturn Roe v. Wade? Faith is not going to wait to see it in the natural to believe it has already happened. Let’s act that way right now, because we know He’s already turning it around. What if prayer just got back in school? How are you going to celebrate? The sex trade just got demolished! How are you going to act? Your prodigal sons and daughters just came home! Come on! Celebrate!” Damon Thompson “God has reversed his judgments against you and sent your enemies off chasing their tails. From now on, God is Israel’s king, in charge at the center. There’s nothing to fear from evil ever again!” (Zephaniah 3:15; The MSG) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Oh saints, let’s start believing! Feel the faith rising up? Tell the enemy that his time is about done! Worship God in advance of what you know in your spirit is about to happen! Decree Zephaniah 3:15 over America. Decree it over the challenge you personally face. Decree that abortion is being overturned in America, sex trafficking is over, the prodigals are coming home, prayer is back in school, government is coming into order, and anything else you can think of to decree! Do it right now! A prayer you can pray: God, you are the God of the turn-around! You are reversing many things right now that the enemy thought he had in the bag! Ha! He thought he had Jesus dead on the cross and we know how that turned out! We don’t have to fear evil. Evil needs to fear the Church! I declare that abortion is being overturned in America, sex trafficking is over, the prodigals are coming home, prayer is back in school, government is coming into order. I decree (anything else you can think of!) In my precious Savior Jesus’ Name, Amen. Today’s decree: I am not waiting to see this nation’s turn-around in the natural. I am decreeing by faith that it IS!

Victory Is In Process We will wait, worship, listen, decree and appeal to heaven. And we WILL change things, recapturing the destiny of Heaven for America and resetting her course to its God-ordained destination. If you believe God answers Spirit-led appeals and Biblical decrees; if you believe the God who birthed this nation can rebirth it; if you believe a Third Great Awakening can change everything and IS COMING to America, let’s write history together. We are gaining momentum. We are turning the tide. We will win. “You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways” (Job 22:28; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: If God started something for His purposes, then we can believe he plans to finish it. Tell the Lord that you want to participate with Him and decree His Will for this nation. Decree that as He has birthed this nation and has a plan for it, so shall this nation fulfill His Will for it. Decree that He can rebirth America! Decree that Awakening is coming to the United States, as well as many other places around the globe. Tell the Lord you want to be a part of it, together with your children and grandchildren. Step into the gap and continue to intercede between the way things are and how they should be in America. A prayer you can pray: Father, I believe that You started something in this nation over two hundred years ago. You had a plan and You plan to see it come to pass. I decree that Your Will will be done in America, Lord! I decree that what You birthed You will rebirth to get us back on track with Your plan. I decree that a third Great Awakening is at hand in this nation and in the nations of the earth. I will see it sweep many into the Kingdom and I will see You exalted and Your glory manifested! (Keep interceding between the way things are in our land and the way you know God wants them to be.) Today’s decree: The Church is beginning to boldly decree the Will of God into the nation and we will see the tide turn and His glory fill this land from sea to shining sea!

Rescuing the Perishing God is going to rescue some kids who think He doesn’t love them or want them. He’s going to say to them, “David had already reached his full destiny when he had his affair with Bathsheba and had her husband killed, but I rescued him. Yes, there was a reaping from what he had sowed. Yes, there was pain. But, yes, I restored him and I called My son the son of David. I called him the man after My own heart. I wrote in my book that he fulfilled my purpose for him in his generation.” “Look on me with a heart of mercy, O God, according to Your generous love. According to Your great compassion, wipe out every consequence of my shameful crimes. Create in me a clean heart, O God; restore within me a sense of being brand new.” (Psalm 51: 1-2,10; The Voice) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Worship Him for He is able to forgive us our sin, make us completely new and only ever see us as that new creation! Pray for those young people you know who desperately need to know this God who so deeply loves them! Take your time and pray for each and every one you can think of. Pray that they will know how good it feels to be completely clean in His sight. Pray for every prodigal you know that was raised in church and has wandered away from God. Maybe they feel like they have aborted their destinies. Let Psalm 51, written by David after his affair with Bathsheba, be your prayer for them. Nothing can separate them from His love—nothing! A prayer you can pray: Father, I worship You. I worship You for the deep, deep love You have for us. You truly make all things new. You are able to touch the hearts of our kids and help them know that You have set a plan in motion through the cross of Christ to forgive their sins so completely that it is as if they had never sinned. What love! I call back the wandering ones, Lord, that may feel they have wandered too far away from You. Never! I proclaim that their destinies are secure in You! In Jesus’ Name, amen. Today’s decree: The Father loves His sons and daughters with an everlasting love that nothing can get in the way of! Their destinies are secure!

God Out of the Box If you can tell me what He’s going to do next, you’re in trouble! When He starts to move, nobody really has Him figured out. You can’t fit God in a box. He can do things any way He wants to. You think He’s coming in a chariot and He comes on a donkey! “Begin to agree with Me,” says the Lord. “The hour you have cried out for is here. The harvest you have travailed for is coming in. I am doing it!” “Our God is in heaven! He does whatever he pleases!” (Psalm 115:13; NET) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ask the Lord to forgive you if you have preferred to have Him in a nice neat box—predictable and well-behaved. He will not act according to our rules! Pray Job 38 back to Him and remind yourself just exactly who our all-powerful, sovereign God is! He is wild and wonderful and works miracles in surprising ways! Thank Him for the harvest of souls and that this magnificent One chooses to work in and through you! A prayer you can pray: Dear Lord, forgive me when I have wanted You to be predictable. Forgive me when I have expected You to be a gentleman and do things in ways that are comfortable for me. I want to see You the way You want to show Yourself to me and to the world around me. As I read Job 38, recalibrate my mind and my heart to expect You to show up in unexpected ways! You truly do not need man to help You reap this great harvest of souls, but You want us to be Your friends and participate in Your plan together with You. I’m in, Lord! In the Name of Jesus, Amen. Today’s decree: I release God from whatever box I have tried to keep Him in! Come in the fullness of Your power, Lord! Let’s reap this harvest!

God is Going Public The Lord is saying that this is the time I go public. This is the time when what I’ve been doing in My Church goes outside the church. This is when the miracles begin to happen in the parking lot of the grocery stores or the breakroom at the office or at the parks or in the school classrooms—wherever you happen to be living life. There will be more miracles this year outside of the four walls of the church than inside the four walls. “So they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.” (Acts 5:15-16; NKJV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: The Bible is full of stories about God healing the sick. All of those healings happened outside the synagogues, out where the people lived. Let’s repent today for expecting God to work inside our boxes, our churches, only. Repent also of the fear of man. Read Acts 3:1 through 4:31. Pray this prayer and really mean it: “And now, Lord, take note of their intimidations intended to silence us. Grant us, Your servants, the courageous confidence we need to go ahead and proclaim Your message while You reach out Your hand to heal people, enabling us to perform signs and wonders through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.” (Acts 4:29-30; The Voice) If you get the opportunity to ask the Lord for a miracle for someone today as you go about your daily routine, do it! A prayer you can pray: Jesus, You healed the sick and worked all kinds of miracles every day. You worked these miracles outside where the people lived. The apostles did the very same thing. So why do we Christians today think we need to get people into our church buildings where our pastors can pray for them to be healed? Please forgive us, Lord! We are afraid of what people will think of us! Hear my prayer from Your Word: “And now, Lord, take note of (society’s) intimidations intended to silence us. Grant us, Your servants, the courageous confidence we need to go ahead and proclaim Your message while You reach out Your hand to heal people, enabling us to perform signs and wonders through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.” Amen! Today’s decree: Our nation will be radically changed as the Church starts to work miracles everywhere we go every day!

Insatiable Hunger In the Jesus Movement, Holy Spirit started pouring out and people started getting saved—people of all backgrounds. The businessman, the hippie, the young, the old, the white collar, the blue collar, people from every denomination—the Holy Spirit was just pouring out on everybody! Then something happened that nobody expected, that I don’t think anybody could have planned. He was just so alive in people that there came this insatiable hunger for the Word. “Jesus answered, ‘It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” (Matthew 4:4; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Do you know how long it takes to get back your “first love” love for the Word? Bowing your head and praying a simple prayer, “Lord, I’m sorry about that. Recalibrate me right now. Let me fall in love with Your Word all over again.” Psalm 119 is long, but not longer than the 15 minutes we are praying today. Open your Bible to Psalm 119 and pray it. It’s all about the Word of God and His instructions in it. Dialogue with the Lord about it along the way. A prayer you can pray: Lord, I want my “first love” love back for Your Word. I’m sorry that my love for it has grown less that white hot. Recalibrate me right now. Let me fall in love with Your Word all over again. As I read Psalm 119 as a prayer to You, fill me Holy Spirit with that insatiable desire to be in Your Word every day. (Pray Psalm 119.) In the Name of Jesus, Amen. Today’s decree: I am so thankful that the Lord can restore a fiery love in me for His Word right now!

The Book I heard the Lord say, “2016 is the Year of the Bible.” Then, He took me to 2 Kings 22 which was written about the time King Josiah was restoring and reforming Israel. In chapter 22, the Book of the Law is found when things are getting cleaned out. The secretary takes it to King Josiah and starts reading it to him. The king begins to weep when he hears what he recognizes as God’s Word. God is saying that we are going to rediscover the Book. We will honor it above man’s opinion, above what the media or the President says. We will fall in love with His Word again! “Then Shaphan the secretary informed the king, “Hilkiah the priest has given me a book.” And Shaphan read from it in the presence of the king. When the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his robes.” (2 Kings 22:10-11; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: If you aren’t as passionate about the Bible as you used to be, repent and tell the Lord you are sorry. Ask Him to give you a hunger and a thirst for His Word once again. Intercede for the Church that His desire for us to fall in love with His Word this year would come to pass. Open up a Bible (even if it’s on your phone) and start reading it. You might even read it out loud. Pray it. Declare it! Read for 10 to 15 minutes or more and enjoy every minute of it! A prayer you can pray: Dear Lord, forgive me that I am not as passionate about your Word as I have been in the past. Give me a passion for the Bible, your Holy Book, the words of life! I pray for myself, but also for the church in general that we would honor Your Word, read it, study it, love it, decree it and let it draw us closer to You. As I open it up and read it now, please work a miracle in my heart so that I cannot stand to be away from it. Let it form my opinions, challenge me and teach me. Thank you, Father, for Your precious Word. In the Name of Jesus, Amen. Today’s decree: I will fall in love with God’s Word all over again!

Covering Our Children We should be able to expect that our children will be safe in their schools. Tucked away in our neighborhoods, schools educate our young and act as central meeting places for many community events. On April 20, 1999, that sense of safety was shaken in America when two students opened fire on their high school, Columbine, in Littleton, CO. Many of us remember that day well. Too many school shootings have followed. “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread?” (Psalm 27:1; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Today, let’s prayer walk our neighborhood schools. If you have a child in school, go to the school and ask if you can walk the halls and quietly pray. If this is not allowed by your local school (for safety reasons, some schools do not permit this), walk the perimeter or sit in your car in the parking lot and read scriptures such as Psalm 91 over the children and the property. Include your children, if possible. If you do not have a child in the schools, you can still go and sit in the parking lot and pray. Pray at more than one school, if you have the time. Send a note to a teacher or administrator tomorrow letting them know you have prayed for the students, the teachers, the administrators, other staff and for safety over the school property. A prayer you can pray: Father, the children in my neighborhood are such a treasure! All children should be able to go to a safe and friendly school. The enemy opened a door at Columbine High School on this day in 1999. Father, we shut this door of fear and death over our schools in Jesus’ Name! We proclaim safety, security and the protection of the Lord over (name the school.) (Pray for the students you know by name, the teachers, the administrators and other staff.) I bless this school and proclaim it safe from all of the plans of the evil one. In the Name of Jesus, Amen. Today’s decree: I proclaim safety over the schools of America today!

Transforming Our Neighborhoods (Continued from 4/18/16.) This mom got miracle after miracle in her neighborhood. She was able to secure a neglected community center which became a place to feed hot meals to the hungry, provide job placement services, and become an after-school tutoring and recreation center. The lost were getting saved and the study of the Word of God and prayer was central to everything going on. Word spread and a major university started an eye clinic and a dental clinic nearby where residents could work and gain job training in various positions in the clinics. Habitat for Humanity showed up and began to help some families rebuild their homes. There was so much more! Over the next 10 years many lives and this whole area was turned around as God answered the prayers of this one woman. She is still very involved today. “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37; KJV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Let God cause faith to rise in you that He is able to do amazing things if you will only ask. He wants to work miracles in our neighborhoods, cities and nation. If you can’t think of anything to ask for in your neighborhood, then ask God for something big for your city or our nation. Ask the Lord if there is something you can do to partner with Him to see the fulfillment of your prayers. Don’t be afraid to do whatever He tells you to do. A prayer you can pray: God, You are a miracle-working God! You want to transform lives and neighborhoods and cities and nations. You only need those who know You and will believe You and who will ask for miracle answers to big problems. I want to be one of those Believers. I want to know what I can do, too. Help me to hear Your Holy Spirit’s leading and do whatever He says. Together, faith-filled Christians can expand God’s Kingdom in our nation! Amen. Today’s decree: Nothing is impossible to God and nothing is impossible for me when I partner together with Him!
