Prayer for Government Leadership The month of July 2018 has been designated by a number of Christian leaders as a month the Church of America will pray for America. This level of unity can get the job done! We don’t have to all pray the same way. We just have to pray. God knows our heart and will honor the unity of the saints in the bond of love. Let’s get ready for July by beginning now to pray for our national leadership. Ronnie Floyd, the Chairman of the National Day of Prayer, has given us a list of matters to pray for our governmental leadership. You can find them below. “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord like channels of water; he turns it wherever he wants.” (Proverbs 21:1; NET) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: O Lord, our needs are great, and we appeal to You for resolve, cooperation, and leadership regarding the challenging issues of: America’s climbing debt Immigration Religious freedom nationally and internationally Healthcare Opioid and drug crisis Security of our nation internally and externally Ongoing challenges in Israel and in the Middle East, as the United States Embassy in Israel has now been moved to Jerusalem Judicial and political appointment processes to be expedited Tax reform Sexual harassment and abuse Sanctity and dignity of all human life from conception through death Racial unrest across America Needs of our veterans, our nation’s military, and their families Ongoing investigations to reveal truth and a resolve be reached soon in each of them Election of leaders in the fall of 2018 This list could go on, but Lord, these specifically this month we place into Your hands. Please channel the hearts of our leaders to what is best for the American people as well as others across the world. A prayer you can pray: “Lord, as You have the power to control a king’s heart and direct it wherever You choose, please direct our President Donald J. Trump, our Vice President Mike Pence, our President’s Cabinet, our appointed and elected leaders in America, as well as those leading our nation’s Armed Forces … moving them in a direction You desire.”1 Our nation is in great need of strong leadership to move back to a position of righteousness and justice. Our leaders must be fearless and uncompromising, honest and compassionate. May they turn to You for direction in all matters that pertain to the American people. Thank you, Jesus. Amen. July Will Be America’s Month to Pray “In June 2018, all across America and beyond, we are calling prayer warriors and prayer intercessors for America to join together in agreement in prayer. Please mobilize your pastor, your church, your denomination, and your personal network of friends across America and the world to join us for ‘31 Days of Prayer for My Nation from July 1-31’. Just imagine what could happen if millions of Americans would intercede through agreement in prayer for America during these months. We need you to join us. May we find common ground and watch the darkness shake at our united front. Declare that July 2018 is America’s Month of Prayer and that the nation will make a giant shift toward righteousness! One of the things we should always be able to unify over is intercession! We ought always to pray, especially for those in authority over us. Our nation is in a season of change and we want to participate in that, changing the spiritual atmosphere through our united intercession. We call our pastors to have a desire to pray for the nation and give sections of our church services to prayer for America at least in the month of July 2018. Flag Day! “More than two centuries ago, on June 14, 1777, the Second Continental Congress formally adopted the Stars and Stripes as the official flag of our new Republic.  Through the many triumphs and trials of our Nation, our flag has reflected our heritage of liberty and embodied the American virtues of bravery, justice, and loyalty.  Each year, we celebrate Flag Day and National Flag Week to honor our timeless national emblem. Today, we celebrate the ideals of our country’s founding, which are represented so proudly by the broad stripes and bright stars — that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  May we never forget the tremendous sacrifices required to secure and maintain our freedom. Let us remember today the many in uniform who guard our nation under this flag and help to maintain our freedom. Take a minute to reflect on the many triumphs and trials our flag has flown over in our nation’s history. Intercede, repent, and/or rejoice over each one God brings to mind. President Trump Gives Credit to God “’Faith is more powerful than government, and nothing is more powerful than God,’ President Trump said, then launched into the story of Jon Ponder, who is now the CEO and founder of Hope for Prisoners, Inc. ‘Jon … ended up in federal prison, relegated to solitary confinement. That’s where God found him,’ continued the President. ‘Jon began to read the Bible and listen to Christian radio. One morning at 2am he woke up to the voice of the great Billy Graham … ‘Jesus wants to be Lord of your life.’ That night Jon dedicated his life to Christ…’ Trump continued, ‘Your story (Jon) reminds us that prayer changes hearts and transforms lives. Bless him that He acknowledges the power of God over the power of government, effectively humbly submitting himself to that loving Power. Ask God for more lives transformed by the work of faith leading to salvation. Pray for a harvest of souls in your neighborhood, city and state. The more saved, the more the nation can shift. A prayer you can pray: We bless President Donald J. Trump. How refreshing to have a president that openly and unashamedly acknowledges the transforming faith of Jesus Christ. He publicly stated that this faith transforms lives and, ultimately, can transform our nation. We bless him as he humbly stated that Your power is over any power that would come from government, including his own decisions. He, therefore, is submitting himself to that great power and grace. Father, respond to the president’s words over this nation and power out a new wave of salvation. Holy Spirit, draw the lost to Jesus! Shift our cities, states, and nation to a God-honoring society, as many come to Christ. Amen. U.S. and North Korea Meeting Results There is a war in the heavenlies that is about to shift something in Asia. It’s more than saber-rattling. God is moving to upset the balance of power there. If God would turn the heart of this “king”, Kim Jong-un, if he were to be saved, so many men and women would be set free! So, we ask for his salvation. Let the barrier come down between the two Koreas, so that a wave of North Koreans come to Christ out of this moment. North Koreans must be set free from their bondage. Christians in prison must be set free. Human rights violations must be addressed. Any ungodly agreements that may have recently occurred between North and South Korea must be uncovered. The military presence of the United States in South Korea must be preserved.  Don’t let President Trump fall into any trap or deception or be caught unaware. Peace must be slowly and carefully negotiated, so grant our president Your Spirit of revelation, wisdom, and truth! “He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide disputes for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.” (Isaiah 2:4; ESV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Reflect on the weight of this historic moment. It is so much more than a simple meeting. This is a war in the heavenlies that has the ability to shift nations. Intercede for President Trump to be mantled with God’s spirit of wisdom and revelation. Call for the release of prisoners – political and spiritual – in North Korea. Ask God to open the door between North and South Korea, so that a wave of evangelism can sweep in from the South to the North. Ask God to give our President an ability to discern truthfulness in his conversations with Kim Jong-un, and to not prematurely remove a military presence from the area. (The South Korean Church is concerned about this.) A prayer you can pray: Lord, we know that President Trump has been put in this place for such a time as this. This is a moment you have prepared him for. You gave Joshua, Solomon, Daniel and others a spirit of wisdom. You bestowed something on them that was supernatural. Paul said we should pray for that impartation of the spirit of wisdom and revelation. So, we are asking You to give our President an ability to discern truthfulness and cause him to persuade and convince toward Your plan for this moment in history. We thank you for this supernatural anointing on President Trump until what has been done today is completed in the earth. In Jesus’ spirit of wisdom and grace, amen. Today’s decree: President Trump is mantled to shift nations into Your alignment and to help release the harvest of the earth!

President Trump’s Historic Meeting With North Korea This evening, which is the morning of July 12th in Singapore, President Trump will meet with Kim Jong-un. In this historic meeting, which has been on, off, and back on again, our president will attempt to negotiate with North Korea’s leader. The negotiations will center on North Korea’s dissolving its nuclear program and joining the rest of the world as a more open nation. The U.S. may be offering reduced sanctions and more open trade, benefiting the people of North Korea. We must pray for President Trump for wisdom and God-given skill in these negotiations. He has called these meetings a beginning and a testing of the waters. Kim Jong-un is crafty, but he has the ability to make history by turning North Korea from a nation that threatens others to one that blesses others. China and Russia are encouraging him to take this step. President Trump is being cautious. Pray for God’s Divine outcome. “Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” (Proverbs 11:2; NLT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ask God to intervene in the pride of both of these men. Pray for humility, especially for President Trump. Pray for our president to have great wisdom and the fear of the Lord on His life, plan, and words to Kim Jong-un. Decree, “The negotiations will be successful, even if they are only a first step.” Call for the angels to come and protect President Trump and all of the U.S. entourage from any and all harm while in Singapore. Intercede on behalf of the people of North Korea. They need to be set free from the bondage, poverty, and fear they are living in day to day. Say, “Satan, set the North Korean people free!” A prayer you can pray: God, I sense that President Trump has a plan that can shift North Korea from a fear-mongering nation, threatening other nations, to a life-giving nation. Hear the cries of the North Koreans for freedom, justice, and deliverance from their impoverishment. Mantle our President with humility and wisdom in these negotiations. Let Kim Jong-un humble himself and recognize that he can be a hero in his generation and before his people, instead of being seen as an oppressive leader. Satan, set the people of North Korea free! Let history mark this day and this meeting in Singapore! The negotiations will be successful, even if they are only a first step! Thank you, Jesus. Amen. Are We Fearmongers? “Late last week, I wrote an article that caused a bit of a furious reaction in social-justice Twitter. Activists claimed I was lying, arguing in bad faith, and/or exaggerating the effect of California’s AB 2943, a bill that purports to declare ‘sexual orientation change efforts’ to be an ‘unlawful business practice.’… And I’m right. It can and would.” Here’s how: First, “the bill by its own terms applies to very broad categories of services and goods… ‘The following unfair methods of competition and unfair or deceptive acts or practices undertaken by any person in a transaction intended to result or that results in the sale or lease of goods or services to any consumer are unlawful.’ Second, a book (along with other written materials, like pamphlets or workbooks) fits within the very, very broad definition of goods. Basically, if you can buy it and move it (in other words, it’s not real estate), then it’s a good.” (David French)1 “And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” (Romans 13:11-12; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray that blinders come off of Californians to see the blatant lies of the enemy. Tell any of your friends and family members who live in CA and love Jesus to call their state Senators and get them to vote against this bill! It has already passed in the State Assembly. 11 states – CO, HI, NY, MD, AZ, DE, MI, WY, WV, NH, PA – are contemplating a version of AB 2943, however, none as broad as the CA Assembly Bill. Four of those 11 – HI, MD, NY and NH – have started the process to make it law in their states. Maine is looking at a bill as broad as California’s. Intercede, educate yourself, make phone calls, write emails and letters, and get these bills off the table! If you do not live in one of the states listed above, intercede for them. Do not think you can be casual about this just because it’s not on your doorstep, or it soon could be! A prayer you can pray: Father, save California from this darkness. It is already leaching over into other states. What seemed impossible just a couple of years ago is now about to go mainstream. Can and will Christians be persecuted for our counseling and deliverance ministries in some states? Can and will books that Believers write on sexual orientation matters be pulled from shelves in some states? Are we being fearful or diligent? Should we just decide to accept the laws of the land and succumb to them, becoming enslaved to our own religiosity, or do we fight for righteousness and holiness with our prayers, phones, pens and votes? Where is California Headed? It’s not about politics, it is about what pleases God. If ministers of the Gospel won’t stand up for and promote biblical values, then who is going to do it? California is a very significant state. A recent action, encouraged by younger, up-and-coming political progressives, is the passing of AB 2943, preventing counselors from advertising sexual orientation change therapies, as well as the related sale of books and materials. California already has some of the most liberal abortion laws in the nation. High taxes and unwarranted protections for certain people groups are already normal in the state. A number of Christians have jumped in to run for office, hoping to put the brakes on some of the current California Legislature’s actions and proposals. Believers need to get to the polls and put their vote where their prayers are. When is enough, enough, California? “I will tell you, the one who goes through life with integrity and speaks truth with conviction, refusing to take part in fraud and abuse, whose hands are free of bribes, whose ears are covered to violent schemes, and whose eyes are shut to the temptations of evil. That one will survive and prosper on the heights of Zion and take comfort in the shelter of rock fortresses, and never be hungry, never thirsty. Ah, you will see for yourself the beauty of the One who rules over all.” (Isaiah 33:15-17a; VOICE) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Intercede for California. 39.5 million people live in the state, making it the most populous. Laws passed here tend to be picked up by other states. Call for the righteous ones, lovers of God and His Word, to get up from their knees and into the polls, and vote for candidates promoting Biblical values. Ask God to get the next crop of His well-trained candidates ready to run for political office in California. Pray for Holy Spirit-inspired laws to be written in the hearts of those coming into office there. A prayer you can pray: Father, California needs a Turn-around! Godly men and women are crying out to you, running for office, and prayer walking their state in anticipation that You will reverse the stronghold of ungodly legislation there. We are all aware that the governmental activities in their state can overflow to other states in the nation, so we cry out together with them, “God, save California!” Let Believers there pray and vote! Get another generation of Your people ready to run in election after election. Fill their hearts with laws that will turn their state toward righteousness and justice, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Opposing California AB 2943 “We believe that the Gospel is a message of freedom, healing, hope, and transformation. God is moving in a unique way this season to bring the Gospel to those in the byways through the challenging legislation being proposed in California’s Capitol… On Tuesday, June 12, the California Family Council is rallying thousands of Christians from across the state to the Capitol to oppose AB 2943, a bill seeking to limit therapies and resources (to help those experiencing gender confusion)… In the spirit of Revelation 12:11, testimonies of change, led by Ken and Elizabeth (Moral Revolution staff members) and a team of over 20 individuals who have left homosexuality, will be presented from the Capitol steps.” (Moral Revolution/CFC)1 “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” (Revelation 12:11; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ask God to stop this legislation, which would keep untold numbers of individuals identifying in some way as LGBTQ from getting help that they may seek out. Pray it is also defeated on behalf of parents of gender confused children who want help. Intercede for LGBTQ individuals to be delivered and set free from the enemy’s attacks on the pure sexuality God desired for them. Pray for Ken, Elizabeth and the other individuals that will give their testimonies at the California Capitol building on June 12th. A prayer you can pray: Father, California needs help! They are actually considering legislation that would prevent sexually confused individuals from getting the help they need. Parents would have nowhere to take their children for counseling, if they are gender-confused. California’s AB 2943 must fail. Please touch the hearts and minds of the legislators to reconsider their support of this Bill. Set every captive free! Encourage and embolden Ken, Elizabeth and the over 20 others that have been set free by Jesus Christ’s love for them, together with the ministry of deliverance and counseling the Church has provided. Let their testimonies bring many to Jesus. Let their testimonies have great effect on the legislators. Let many California Christians turn out to support them and pray for the failure of this Bill. Another Victory for Religious Freedom! “A federal district court is blocking the federal government from enforcing the Obama abortion-pill mandate against Christian colleges in Indiana and California. ‘After reconsideration of their position, defendants with the federal government now agree that enforcement of the rules regarding the contraceptive mandate against employers with sincerely held religious objections would violate the RFRA (Religious Freedom Restoration Act) …’ the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, South Bend Division, wrote in its order in Grace Schools v. Azar. The Obama-era mandate forces employers, regardless of their religious or moral convictions, to provide abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraception through their health plans under threat of heavy penalties. The Department of Justice, under the Trump administration, abandoned its defense of the flawed mandate… ‘Monday’s order fully affirms that freedom and provides permanent protection from the mandate,’ said ADF Senior Counsel Gregory S. Baylor. ‘These schools no longer have to fear being forced to pay fines for simply abiding by the Christian beliefs they teach and espouse…’ Another federal district court issued a similar order last month for four Christian universities in Oklahoma.”1 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2; ESV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Our courts are turning! Rejoice and thank the Lord! Notice that the federal government defendants reversed their own position! Thank the Lord that He is turning hearts toward righteousness in our government. Thank the Lord that our government is choosing Life! Ask God for His blessing on our nation, as a result. Pray for Christian colleges, churches, businesses, and agencies to become aware of this decision, so they can renegotiate the terms of their health insurance options and make sure they are not inadvertently still funding abortion through their premiums. Ask God to restore all funds lost to these schools from having to pursue this in court for years. A prayer you can pray: Wow, God! Persistence of these colleges has paid off, and even the federal government is now acknowledging that they cannot force Christian organizations to provide abortion options through the mandatory insurance they must provide their staff. God, bless America, as our government chooses life! Thank you that these schools pursued this until the government saw its error and decided “schools should no longer have to fear being forced to pay fines for simply abiding by the Christian beliefs they teach and espouse.” Restore the funds they lost as they fought for their religious freedom, which now affects us all. Praying for Melania “I can only imagine what our First Lady is going through. We need to be praying for Melania and her son. She signed up for something that is really tough on her. I am sure she would appreciate the Saints of God holding her up in prayer. She loves the Lord and she is under constant attack from those who don’t even know her. Those who disagree with her husband have maligned her for no other reason than she is his wife. The press, together with actors and actresses, have mocked her and her young son, Baron, who has done nothing to deserve it. She really needs our intercession.” (John Kilpatrick)1 “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. “Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matthew 5:11-12; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Intercede for Melania Trump, our First Lady, as the Lord leads you to. Ask the Holy Spirit to encourage her and lift her countenance. Command the darkness to get away from her and to get out of her house—the White House. Pray that she will find a fresh revelation of God’s love for her in His Word as she reads it each day. Pray for her son, Baron. Ask the Lord to give him God-dreams, and let him bring great joy to his mother, as she sees Your hand on his life. A prayer you can pray: “Father, we bring Melania Trump before you. She is a woman of God. She loves you. She has gone through many lonely times and many satanic attacks. May she feel our prayers for her. Holy Spirit, You can access the White House. Energize her and encourage her. Bring her comfort and the joy of the Lord! Take the darkness out of her house – the White House. Let the light of the Holy Spirit shine in that darkness and let revelation come to her. Let the Bible come alive to her in a fresh way as she reads it each day. Jesus, show her how You are the Living Word. Show her how You are caring for what concerns her, like her son Baron. It’s a Victory for Religious Freedom! “Today the U.S. Supreme Court ruled (7-2) that the government was wrong to punish Jack Phillips for living consistent with his beliefs. No one should be bullied or banished from the marketplace for peacefully living out their beliefs about marriage. We have long known that the free exercise of religion is in jeopardy in Colorado, but it was the personal persecution of Jack that brought this issue to the forefront of the nation. America is the only nation in the world that understands it’s citizens cannot truly be free if we are not able to exercise our own sincerely held beliefs. Our Founding Fathers enshrined our right to religious freedom in the First Amendment of our Constitution to make sure we have equal footing on a platform of freedom from which to live out our lives. While we are thankful for the favorable ruling, we need to stay vigilant.”1 “When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan.” (Proverbs 29:2; NLT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: This is a day of rejoicing! Get up and shout! The Supreme Court of the United States of America upheld religious freedom, even though this is not the broad victory Believers had hoped for. Intercede for the return of everything Jack Phillips lost – time, money, reputation – everything the enemy tried to steal from him. Pray for Charlie Craig and Dave Mullins, who brought this case against Jack Phillips. Ask God to introduce them to the greatest love of all – Jesus Christ’s love for them. This was a case decided very specifically based on the laws of Colorado and the actions of the judges there. It will not necessarily transfer to other states and it is not a final word on the matter for the entire nation. Therefore, research, educate yourself, and intercede for all of those still fighting attacks against their Christian beliefs across the U.S. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we will take every step forward in the protection of our ability, as Christians, to live freely in our nation. All of our first amendment rights were violated when Jack Phillips was taken to court over his refusal to make a cake for a gay marriage.
