Patriot Day 2020 [We must never forget the losses of our citizens and our nation on 9/11/2001. It was a defining attack on America in our generation. By a joint resolution approved December 18, 2001 (Public Law 107–89), Congress designated September 11 of each year as “Patriot Day.” Here are words of remembrance by President Donald J. Trump.] “On Patriot Day, we solemnly remember the nearly 3,000 people who perished on September 11, 2001. With gratitude, we honor the brave first responders, resolute members of our military, and ordinary Americans who showed extraordinary courage to save others on that fateful day. Pray for the families of the many brave first responders and private citizens who gave their lives saving others on that day. Pray for the family members whose loved ones never came home. Intercede for the wounded. Many could not work again due to their physical losses or PTSD. Pray that all of their needs are met in Christ Jesus. Gather your family and watch the ceremony that will be held at Ground Zero. Or you can watch one of the many documentaries that have been made so that this history is not lost. Ask the Lord to preserve America from another 9/11-style attack on our soil. A prayer you can pray: Father, we have come to the 19th anniversary of the attacks on September 11, 2001. For many of us, the day is burned in our memories. It is the kind of day where everyone remembers where they were. We cannot comprehend the horrors that those at the sites of the attacks lived through. Our prayers come easily for them. Lord, so many were lost. The numbers still seem staggering. We know the numbers could have been so much worse, but for Your guidance and intervention. Nevertheless, every life lost was a national tragedy. Our foes won a battle that day. We pray there would never again be a repeat of those circumstances. We intercede today for the families of those who gave their lives to save others. Some were private citizens whose nature it was to be helpful. Eyewitnesses told us how each of them put thoughts of themselves aside to save others. May thoughts of their bravery comfort their loved ones again today. We pray for the families of the first responders. They died doing what they chose to do for a living. God we are so thankful for their lives of sacrifice. May their loved ones be so proud of them as they remember them with honor today. We remember them, also. We will pray and we will watch the ceremonies or documentaries and we will not let them be forgotten. Heal any broken bodies and minds completely. Provide for them all the days of their lives. Lord, be good to them on our behalf. We are a grateful nation, and we pray for all who need You today in Jesus’ name. Amen. Today’s decree: We look to God to preserve us from every attack of the enemy - foreign and domestic.

What Form Will the Church Take Now? Let’s talk about online church. Many, many people and churches had to move to an online format through the COVID-19 pandemic. This has been good and not so good. First of all, we are all very grateful that the technology was available for us to use at this time. Some states and cities are still in government lockdowns and this has really helped the Church to continue to gather together. Additionally, many have sought out worship experiences other than the ones they are used to. I believe the Lord has used that to bring an awakening to some. Some, however, participate online for other reasons and these aren’t all that good. Some have been participating online for years. They may live in rural locations where they don’t get a lot of meat or where there isn’t any church. The online church is a lifeline to them. However, others have just recently started to participate due to the lockdowns. They have quickly gotten used to attending church in their pajamas and it has become comfortable. It’s convenient to grab your coffee, curl up in a favorite spot in your home, give a little donation online, perhaps, and “go to church”. But how do you do that and experience community? How do you walk together with other Believers in accountability? How can you release your gifts to the Body of Christ? How do you grow and mature as a part of something the Lord is building? How do you share your faith with the lost in a relational way, then help them grow in Christ? If we continue to just do online church, we will see a fallacy in the movement pretty quickly. What has been a lifeline to us will eventually lead us to stunted growth, limited evangelism and discipleship, and other things. People are going to realize there is a reason Jesus said not to forsake the assembling of the saints together, especially as the days grow closer to the Lord’s coming. We need one another. As we come back together, I think pastors and churches are going to find that some people want more now than they did at the beginning of this season. Things are not going to go back to the way they were done before. The enemy always tries to limit the Church. He has already tried to limit us by telling us all of our gifts and callings are for inside the walls of a church building. He even told whole denominations that God’s gifts don’t operate at all any more. Currently, I think one of his limiting tactics is to influence government leaders to keep the churches locked down as long as they can. In some states and cities we know they are trying to keep the Church from meeting together using COVID-19 as an excuse. I know that because the Church is being treated differently than businesses of the same size and using similar facilities. There is supernatural power released when the Body of Christ gathers together to worship, pray, declare and decree, take communion together, and display Christ’s love and unity as His Body. The Church is a threat to the enemy and he will always try to stop us from gathering together or expanding the Kingdom of God in the earth. We need to resist that limitation. “Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:25; NLT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: How has this lockdown affected your relationship with Christ? Are you pressing into Him? Are you feeling a new passion and awakening? Are you a “comfy one”? Have you found yourself complacent or even lukewarm? Maybe you are feeling lonely and longing for the gathering together of the saints again? Talk to Him about wherever you feel you are. Intercede for the Church to reject all limitations placed on it. Say, “The Body of Christ rejects every limitation satan has tried to bind us with historically and currently. We reject every lie. We will be free to worship the Lord and expand His Kingdom in the earth!” Say, “We will fight to meet together to encourage one another and to learn of Jesus.” Declare, “We will operate in the fullness of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, so that many may come to know Him.” A prayer you can pray: [Take some time today to reflect on how you are doing spiritually right now. Look at the questions above and invite the Lord to minister to you, if need be.] God, I pray for the Church. I ask You to touch each individual in a new and fresh way. Meet the deepest needs of hearts and lives. Stir the complacent, increase the fire in the passionate, meet the needs of the lonely, provide grace to the hurting. You are doing a work in the Church in this season that we will look back on as a treasure. You are giving us a gift in a time that the enemy has meant for evil. He should have known that He couldn’t stop the Church. He has never been able to. The Church always multiplies under duress! It always becomes more powerful and more on fire. Your Kingdom advances more quickly when times are hard. So, Lord, we say, “The Body of Christ rejects every limitation satan has tried to bind us with historically and currently. We reject every lie. We will be free to worship the Lord and expand His Kingdom in the earth!” Grant us a grace and boldness to fight to meet together, so we can encourage one another and learn of Jesus together. We say we will not allow anything to hinder us from operating in the fullness of the gifts of the Holy Spirit so that many may come to know You. We proclaim these things in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Today’s decree: The Church will find a way to gather together and expand His Kingdom!

Correcting Our Direction and Moving Forward Properly [Chuck Pierce recently made the following comments that we all need to hear.] “Some of us are coming into agreement with what is not the Word of God. We need to renounce that. We need to decree that we will not agree with anything that is not absolute in value and truth. The Lord says that if we are not seeking Him or moving in Him, everything we do is wood, hay, and stubble. It will burn up. So, don’t buy into something that is not true. We must be seeking God to make a difference. We must be exhibiting who God is in our life. We must be obeying Him in order to make a difference in the earth. “There has been a strategy from hell to shut down our economy. There has been a strategy to capture the next generation. We must decree, 'The victory is the Lord’s!' Do not be deceived by what we have gone through. God has used it for victory! Don’t give into the atmosphere that’s trying to shut down the move of the Spirit. We are headed into a new move of God. The new move is here! Religion will keep you standing still where you are, but God’s Spirit means for you to move with Him. “We must pray for all authority and all those in authority, whether we like them or agree with them all the time or not. Pray for them and watch God work. We have a responsibility to pray for their aligned righteousness. In America, that includes President Trump, Vice President Pence, Nancy Pelosi, and all the rest of our elected and appointed governmental leadership. I hear a new call coming to God’s people to set a new Kingdom standard. We must get above the earth realm in prayer, so we can see and hear what God is doing and how He wants us to move with Him. “There is something in our history that God is correcting right now, and we need to know this. God hates that America allowed injustice through the trade of people that created slavery. That created a rule of racism in this land. God hates that. He wants to use His people to deliver this land completely from that. We will be accountable to Him for whether we, as a generation, chose to participate in that deliverance or not. He wants us to operate in such a way that people see love. He wants us to have an empathetic ear and hear others. We need to listen to their opinions. We need to listen to their hurts. Then, God’s people have a responsibility to lead into all truth. It’s the Truth that sets us free. “We are in a very trying time in the history of our nation. If we move with God, He will help us navigate our way through it. He will then be able to move in the hearts of some leaders to help us know how to bring another layer of healing to America. This has to come.” “For the Lord your God goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.” (Deuteronomy 20:4; BSB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Decree that we are disconnecting from the lies that are being empowered in the earth. Decree, “There is a new call coming to God’s people in the earth to set a new Kingdom standard.” Decree, “God will have a people that have understanding of Him—Who He is and how He operates.” Intercede for President Trump, V.P. Pence, Nancy Pelosi, and any other governmental leaders the Lord directs you to intercede for. Call forth Truth! Declare, "We want to see our history healed. Lord, let another layer of the pain and suffering of slavery receive the healing balm of Gilead over it." Say over the Church, “Get ready for the new move of God!” A prayer you can pray: Father, the father of lies, Satan, is having a field day right now. He is influencing many in media, entertainment, government, and other arenas to spread his concocted lies. There is a strong attempt to fool the American people. We must look to You and Your Word—our standards of Truth—for how to navigate the land mines. You are releasing a new call to Your people in the earth to set a new Kingdom standard. You will have a people that have understanding of You—Who You are and how You operate. We admit that we have been allowing our emotions to get triggered, instead of our prayers to be fired up! We can either research everything—from any public source, even our friends—or we can just tuck in with You and listen carefully. We must be in the Word every day, because its words are the only source of Truth. We must meditate on it and love it and speak it. We are in a spiritual war unlike any we have experienced in our lifetimes. The enemy knows his time is short and is pulling out all the stops. But we look to You, Father of Light. You will dispel the darkness! We can put our whole hope and trust in You. Lord, we lift up those that are leading us in civil government right now. We decree that You have put them in place. Your Word says You raise them up and give them authority for Your reasons in Your time frame. We pray for Truth in the inward parts. We ask You to draw them to Truth and we cut off every word of falsehood. The American people need clear communication and honesty in these already chaotic times. Finally, Lord, we ask You to heal America from another layer of the pain and suffering of slavery. Lord, let those who have been hurt be heard. Heal our history and move us forward. We say over the Church, “Get ready for the new move of God!” Release grace to us, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: All of the upheaval is creating a victorious move of God in America!

The Devil Didn’t See This Coming There are some in the Church that have been pretty stunted in their spiritual growth. I am not saying they are not saved, but they are not fully benefiting from the Lord’s costly work on the cross. They are not helping to expand the Kingdom. This is because they haven’t been taught properly. They haven’t been taught the full Word of God. They have been fed a watered-down Gospel. Therefore they are anemic and weak in their faith. That is the fault of those of us in leadership. I think this grieves the Lord’s heart. I believe the Lord is now dealing with this circumstance in the Church through the COVID-19 lockdowns, because a lot of those people are sincere. They didn’t know any different. They hadn’t been exposed to the fullness of the Holy Spirit. I think this lockdown is causing Christians to realize where their faith in the Lord is. When they are concerned enough, they are beginning to seek Him out for themselves. They can see others worshipping God and talking about Him, and teaching about Him all over social media. They aren’t getting their “view” from just one source anymore. When they taste of His fullness, they are becoming hungry for more of Him. Some Christians’ lives are going to be turned upside down. They are not going to go back to church the way they left it. They are becoming the Church. They are realizing what “Church” is. The pastors had better get ready, because God is messing the people up in a good way. Even sitting home watching on the web for an hour is not working for them anymore. I am hearing more and more about people praying more than they ever have. Many are praying as families and studying the Word together. They are taking communion together. They have activated the Ekklesia within the walls of their homes and they like it. This is extending to their neighbors and to their communities. The Church is being the Church outside the walls of their buildings. Pastors are going to need to figure out what to do with this. They are going to need to lead in a new way. The people are going to demand something from them that they weren’t getting before. This is a unique move of revival. Passion for the Lord is being ignited. Revival always ignites passion as people are awakened to His Presence. “I desperately want to be in the courts of the Lord's temple. My heart and my entire being shout for joy to the living God.” (Psalm 84:2; NET) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray for the Church to come alive in this lock-down season! Ask God to forgive His leaders where they have limited the growth of the Church by delivering watered down teaching of the Word. Intercede for the Body of Christ as they are coming alive in the Lord now. Pray He turns fear and concern to awakening and revival! Thank God for the families doing church together in their homes. This is how things should have always been. Thank the Lord for innovative ways to gather as the Church in this lock-down season. Ask the Lord to give pastors and leaders the ability to help their congregations retain and increase their new-found passion for Jesus. A prayer you can pray: Lord, You have been exposing a lot of things in this lockdown season. The condition of the Church is a somewhat surprising one. While we knew some pastors had gone to a watered down, seeker-sensitive format, we didn’t know the full effect. Now we see that there are many that have been left without an anchor to hold onto. These trying times have left some wondering what church was all about. Others have become desperate to know You in a deeper way. We pray the latter far outweighs the former. Draw them to Jesus, Holy Spirit. Forgive the pastors and leaders for not realizing how much people really need Jesus. We must know He is the One in which we can place our whole hope. Times like these shake everything that can be shaken out of us, and some are finding they are pretty empty. Thank You for online churches. Thank You for all of the apostles, prophets, evangelists, and teachers, as well as local church pastors, who have jumped on online platforms to preach the Gospel. Many are now seeing what they were missing! There is a whole new world being displayed online and the hungry are being filled. While this is not a full expression of “Church”, it is more than many have ever experienced. The lockdown is setting captives free in Christ! Prepare the pastors for the reopening of their churches. They are going to need to get ready for things to be different. People aren’t going to be satisfied with milk anymore. They need meat and they are going to look for it. Grace, grace, grace to the new Church arising in Jesus’ Name! Amen. Today’s decree: The Church is coming alive in the lock-down!

Labor Day 2020 - Celebrating America’s Workers [President Trump made these remarks at the celebration of Whirlpool’s 109th anniversary.] “The duty of a President is to put this nation’s own citizens first. That’s why my administration swears by two simple but crucial rules: Buy American and Hire American. [In the past] American factory workers received nothing but broken promises and brazen sellouts and lost jobs. [Some administrations] catered to special interests while allowing foreign nations to siphon off our wealth, our dignity, our dreams, [and] our money.  The suffering of our workers was met with nothing but cruel betrayal and callous indifference. “I [have] warned that our politicians have aggressively pursued a policy of globalization — moving our jobs, our wealth, and our factories overseas. Globalization has made the financial elites ... very wealthy, but it’s left millions and millions of our workers with nothing but poverty and heartache, and our towns and cities with empty factories and plants. Four years later, we’ve made extraordinary progress in reversing the dangerous tide of globalism… Under my administration, we’re fighting for Main Street, not Wall Street. We have rejected globalism and embraced patriotism.   “[Our nation is now dealing with a new enemy, called COVID-19.] We will rise from the current adversity of this horrible, invisible enemy, and we will be more prosperous and resilient than ever before. We’ve done things that we never knew we could do. We’re building factories now. [We’ve repurposed other factories.] We’re building plants. Over the last six months, we’ve witnessed one manufacturing miracle after another. We’re reasserting American economic independence.   “We have to protect our great companies and our great workers… [We have] a heritage grounded in the values of hard work and determination, innovation and excellence, faith and family, loyalty and patriotism passed down from one generation to the next… These are the values that have defined … our country from the very beginning, and they are the values that will define our future, that will ensure our success, and that will allow America to thrive and win for many generations to come.” “The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.” (Genesis 2:15; ESV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Thank God for American workers! Thank Him for the continued innovation that keeps our American labor community strong. Pray for an increase in American businesses with the positive side-effect of increased jobs. Pray for the economic strength and stability of those companies. Ask God for the right trade agreements between the U.S. and other nations, so that both countries benefit. Our workers should never suffer from any economic and manufacturing treaties between America and other countries. Intercede for America workers as the Holy Spirit leads you to. A prayer you can pray: Father, thank You for America’s workers! Regardless of career, they make America a great nation! Each one’s skill benefits all of the rest of us. We can’t ever say to one sector, “We have no need of you.” Their part in our economy strengthens so many others.  Lord, forgive prior government decisions that have increased the moving of American manufacturing and labor overseas. Government didn’t do that alone. Some companies simply saw an opportunity to cut costs. Sadly, it left some whole industries struggling here in the U.S. Some cities were devastated by those corporate moves. Thank You for a president that understands business and trade and could help us get those jobs back. We celebrate those victories and all those that have been helped by those decisions.  We celebrate America’s workforce today! We bless them. We bless their companies. We bless manufacturing and finance and education and science, medicine and agriculture, government and entertainment. We pray for a strong economy that is growing stronger because of increasing hope within the workforce. Thank You for blessing America and its workers, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: God will always care for the needs of American workers!

We Carry God’s Authority in the Nation I feel that the Body of Christ needs a Word right now to encourage and reinvigorate them to pray for our president and for the nation. There is weariness, but there is also a bit of confusion. There are a lot of negative things being said that cause us to question whether what we believe is true or not. So much of this is happening in the political realm. So, here is an important thing to understand—politics and government are separate. They are not synonyms. God is all about government. He is government. We need to be involved in government and governing. We must distinguish between politics and government or we may begin to become cynical of something that is who He is. God is government. He is Lord. He is King. He is Judge. He is Lawgiver. He is government! Government is one of the ways God accesses the earth. God works through authority that He delegates to us. For example, He doesn’t go around me to deal with issues in my home. He delegated that authority to me and to my wife. We can do anything we want there. We can honor His authority or we can dishonor His authority. If we dishonor His authority, we can be cursed. If we choose to honor His authority, we will be blessed. It’s our choice.  He does the same in government. He works through the established authority to bring order, safety, security, and blessing into the earth. In the United States, we choose our governing authorities. He helped us form our government and He gave us that choice. We need to vote and put those in office who will choose to honor His authority. If we are successful, He can work through that authority to bless our nation. If we choose someone that will ignore Him or even work against Him, then curses could come to us instead. You can see this wherever there have been evil, wicked leaders over nations around the world and throughout history.  We also govern for Him through our intercession. The Church is His ekklesia, His governing body or legislators, in the earth. In other words, we are conduits of His authority in the earth. He can take our prayers, declarations, and decrees and turn the hearts of our leaders. He can move on the hardest of hearts through our intercession. Then, we can be blessed as a nation even when our government is not in direct alignment with Him. However, the greater blessing comes when those in authority honor Him and He can work directly through them on our behalf. The Kingdom of God is like leaven. When it begins to be released through the governing principles of God into the earth, it affects everything. People are affected, laws are affected, and even nature is affected. Everything becomes blessed and everything flourishes. Everything the enemy was doing is turned back and peace manifests. This is what we are after in November. So, be encouraged and rejuvenated in your faith. We can turn the tide of this nation. I believe we will! “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.” (Ephesians 1:18-21; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray for the hearts of the Church to be encouraged. Intercede for the Church to understand our authority and role in seeing the blessings of God come to America. Ask the Lord to encourage our elected leaders - President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and the Cabinet, and our Senators and Representatives. Declare, “The Church will decree the blessings of God into America. We will pray and we will vote for government leaders that will honor God and His ways.” A prayer you can pray: Lord, break off of us a spirit of intimidation and fear. If we can get hold of this revelation, we can see our nation change. When we pray, we are not representing ourselves and our own power and our own strength. We are not coming in our own authority. We are representing You. We are not declaring our own will, but Yours. We are not putting our trust in our earthly government, but in You. We are carrying You into the ballot box. We are carrying You into the White House, the Senate chambers and the House of Representatives.  We want to be a nation blessed of the Lord. We know that that only comes as we intercede and place the right people in office through our vote. We have to have both. So, God, we pray for the Ekklesia to be encouraged and keep praying. We can’t stop now. Satan is trying to discourage us, but we can’t give into his tactics. Not now. We ask that You encourage our president through our prayers. The attacks against him and his team are relentless. Let him feel the prayers of the saints on his behalf. We ask the same for our Senators and Congressmen. Let our prayers encourage those that know You. Move on the hearts of those that may not yet know You. Let them find themselves doing the best thing for the people despite their politics. Let them respond to the authority of the praying Church. Thank You for blessing America, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: The blessing of God comes into our nation through our intercession and our vote.

A Word to Encourage You I want to encourage you about this season we are in. It has been long and many are growing weary. I want you to know that this is an exciting season. It’s not a season to become discouraged. We need to see what God is doing, so we can continue to pray in faith. I realize many are experiencing physical and financial problems. Don’t let those things cause you to be disheartened. Remind yourself of God’s goodness. Remember His promises and recount them to yourself. Persevere. God is the God of restoration. If you have had losses—physical or financial, or a loss of a job or a business—believe that God is coming to restore you. He is going to take care of you. Keep your eyes on Him and know He can turn any situation around. We are in a season where the Lord is causing the Ekklesia to walk in great faith. It’s time to do exploits. That is what the enemy is trying to stop. He sees you differently than you may see yourself. Satan sees you as a threat. Remember, he is always trying to stop what God is doing in the earth. God is advancing His Kingdom through you, and the enemy wants to stop that. God has been working to make His Church a well-trained fighting force. He has taught us about His gifts and He has taught us how to use them effectively. Many can pray, intercede, declare, and decree with expert marksmanship. We have learned how to take strongholds down that have been controlling places for years, sometimes centuries. We know how to listen for His direction on how to set captives free. We have become bold as lions. Realize that all of this is a tremendous threat to Satan and his demonic hordes. They thought they were winning—and they have taken a lot of ground. However, the Church has awakened and is transforming into a mighty threshing instrument with teeth. Some have misunderstood and thought we are in a political battle. This is far more than that! We are in a spiritual battle. We are in a battle for the foundations of this nation to be fully restored and reset firmly for generations to follow us. Our vote on November 3rd will be a part of our warfare. We must pray and vote to see the manifestation of what’s being done in the spirit realm. So, gird up your loins, Church! We are on the right track and you are on the winning team. Pick up any weapons you may have laid down. Let’s press in and secure the victory! “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, “ (2 Corinthians 10:3-5; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Worship the Lord and give Him all Your fear, pain, grief, and discouragement, for He cares for You. Remember all the good things He has done for you and your family over the years. Make the declaration, “God is always good to me! He has saved me, healed me, and delivered me numerous times. He has blessed me and I am satisfied. It is well with my soul.” Talk with Him about the things you see the enemy doing. Let Him give you His perspective. See what He is doing that the enemy is so angry about. Let this revelation fill you with faith and hope for the future. Say, “Recalibrate, reset and reconstitute my life and our nation, Father!” Declare, “Our nation is returning to You, Lord!” Cry out for the greatest harvest of souls this earth has every seen. Plan to vote on November 3rd. Research your options and compare them by a biblical standard. A prayer you can pray: God, we refresh our view of You and what You are doing in America today! You are releasing a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit. You are bringing forth a new level of Your Ekklesia. In all of history, we have never seen the things You are about to do. This is a season to remember all You have done for us through the years. You have been so good to us, Lord! It is not a season of permanent loss and destruction. It is a season of reset for advancement! We will consecrate ourselves and separate ourselves unto You. Give us Your perspective. Show us what You are doing and how the enemy is trying to stop it. Prepare our hearts for the great exploits You have promised. Prepare us to reap a great harvest of souls. Where we may have become rusty or complacent in evangelism, fire up our hearts. The heat of the refining fire is not to destroy us, but to remove everything that would hinder or stop us from working with You. Remove the dross from us. Recalibrate, reset and reconstitute our nation, even as you are doing in our hearts. Our nation needs an outpouring of Your Spirit such as we have never seen. Put some things back the way You made them in the beginning. Reverse wrong governmental decisions that have occurred over the years, such as the legalizing of abortion. We have prayed fervently for many years. Now, let us reap the harvest of that intercession. We ask for a great harvest, Jesus. We are asking for a great harvest of souls, of changed hearts, of prodigals returning, and of a nation returning to You. Amen. Fighting on Our Knees [The first Tuesday of every month there is a One Voice Prayer Movement Call, which we participate in. The primary conveners are Todd Lamphere, Dave Kubal, and Jon Hamill. Below, the three of them discuss America’s current need of prayer.] DAVE KUBAL When I watch the chaos and all that’s going on in the streets of America, it actually encourages me. I’m thinking, “Why would the gates of hell open up all of these demonic doors and unleash all of these demonic forces against America?” I think it is because our nation’s leader has a purpose and destiny to help our country. And it also says that God still has a purpose and destiny for America. When we all watch the news, it is so easy to get discouraged. Have faith and have hope that the destiny of God will continue to unfold for our nation. I think we are on the verge of that turnaround that's been prophesied. I think we are right there. JON HAMILL There is a great move of God happening coast to coast. We are seeing a desperation that has been cultivated through these challenging times. We have been crying out to God and leaning on Him to do what only He can do. And there are some things that only He can do. We cannot look to the political system alone to resolve some of the challenges we face. We need God to come through. We need to be what Francis Scott Key, in the third stanza of the Star-Spangled Banner, called “a heaven rescued land.” God is moving across this land and restoring His Glory. If we are going to look for God’s manifest presence and His Glory, we have to see where we are aligning with the covenant He made with us. This November 11th marks the 400th anniversary of America’s covenant with God—The Mayflower Compact. I anticipate that after 400 years of this covenant being established by the Lord, and our maintaining it thus far, we are going to move into an accelerated Awakening all across our nation. TODD LAMPHERE As you said, Jon, there is no political process that can heal the hearts of Americans. God is that process. The direction of our country is at stake in the upcoming elections, so we need to be praying into them on a regular basis. It is an exciting time, as Dave said. The Bible says, “Where sin abounds, grace does much more abound.” The light shines the brightest when it is the darkest. Well, we are in a dark and sinful time. Between COVID-19, the racial tensions, and the lawlessness on display in some of our major cities, this is a great time for the Body of Christ to be bold and increase the fight on our knees. “And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.” (Psalm 9:10; ESV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ponder the chaos in the country. Consider why the enemy has so strongly increased his attacks against America. Ask God what He is doing that Satan is trying so hard to stop. Cry out to God for mercy. Ask Him to manifest His Glory in our land. Pray for the Great Awakening to increase. Intercede for our political leaders—all of them. God places certain ones in authority for His reasons. He simply asks us to pray for them (see 1 Timothy 2:1-4.) Repent if you have participated with the accuser of the brethren and spoken critically against any leader. Call for the Church to stay on their knees in intercession until the battle for America is won and peace reigns again. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we are seeing riots all across the nation. These conflicts are causing revival to spring forth! Everywhere the riots have occured, revival is breaking out. Let our nation be blessed by You and not judged by You. At the beginning of the year, the prophets were saying that 2020 would be defined by mercy that establishes Your covenant. We cry out for mercy. We ask You for the mercy that turns us from a culture of death to a culture of life. We can’t sow death and expect life to blossom. So we ask You to move in power and sweep across our nation. Bring an anointing of holy conviction that turns hearts to seek You. Lord, forgive us for judging our president and other political leaders. Forgive us for aligning with the accuser of the brethren, Satan himself. We need to stand in the gap for the dream in Your heart that You are using President Trump and other elected and appointed leaders in part to fulfill. Let a refreshing and renewing come to our president’s spirit. Strengthen him by Your might in the Holy Spirit. As he goes to areas that have seen a lot of upheaval, grant him a grace to bring comfort to the people. So many have experienced so much devastation and desolation. Give him clarity to speak to the America people that there will be restoration. Let that message bring renewed hope and a reminder of who we are as Americans. We need to enter into a time of victory and turnaround as a nation. We have experienced the ravages of hell against us this year. There is no other source but You for the challenges we face. You are turning the tide now. You are granting us a turnaround. We thank You for the breakthrough, and we declare this a new era of victory. Keep encouraging us to fight on our knees. Racial Reconciliation [In today’s article, Mike and Cindy Jacobs present a biblical call to prayer for one of the major issues of our time.] “The Word of God tells us, ‘God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.’ Therefore, ‘put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all. Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another, and if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.’ “It's time to amend and repair what is corrupt, and to build the institutions of our government and society according to their God-ordained order and organization. To see our nation transformed, we must go beyond a mandate that only sees souls saved. We must work to see Christians grow in the Lord, and we must see the kingdom of God invading every sector of our society. God wants His Kingdom Will to be done on earth through us! We Can Turn the Court! I want you to believe with me that God is not finished with America. I have never been more convinced that we are moving toward a great revival in this country and around the world. There has been a godly remnant in this nation that has been fervently praying. So, I am confident that we are going to see this revival. America will recapture her destiny. God is telling me that we have reached a point now that we can see the Supreme Court shifted. We can see past ungodly decisions reversed. He is ready to roll back abortion decisions, the removal of prayer in schools, blocks to Bible reading in schools, and other similar decisions. We need to press in and pray for those things to take place. The first way we need to pray is for our elections in November. Ask the Lord to give us His choice for President. Ask Him for a president that will appoint pro-constitutional justices and will appoint pro-life judges. We must pray for the Senate, because the Senate confirms judicial appointments. We must have that for the next 4 years. In the upcoming 4 years, at least one, if not two, Supreme Court Justices will be placed on the bench. We can turn the Court. No decision made in our lifetime is likely to be more consequential than this one. If you have ever voted, you need to vote in this election. Do not be controlled by a party or by a political spirit. You need to vote for Life. Understand that in God’s eyes, there is no issue more important than Life. Abortion brings a curse on the nation. It is unthinkable that a Christian would vote for any person that is pro-abortion. That is absolutely unconscionable. We must vote for Life. Pray before you vote. Do not let a day go by that you do not pray for the elections and pray for the nation’s future. You need to vote for righteousness. You need to vote for justices that will interpret the U. S. Constitution and not make laws. You need to vote for a government that rests on His shoulders and pleases Him. If we do that, we will see the Supreme Court turn. “The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; so he shall open, and no one shall shut; and he shall shut, and no one shall open.” (Isaiah 22:22; NKJV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Talk to the Lord about the spiritual war America is facing. Ask HIm to shift our nation through a Third Great Awakening and through a governmental shift. Ask Him to give us the right president, the right senators, and the right Supreme Court justices. Pray for a Supreme Court that will honor our Judeo-Christian foundations and beliefs. Ask the Lord to roll back time and give us justices that will reverse some of the ungodly decisions former courts have instituted. Say, “Lord, I am asking You to shift the courts. I am asking You to shift the Supreme Court and give us a godly, pro-life, pro-constitutional Supreme Court.” A prayer you can pray: Lord, we come to You now and we thank You for what You have been doing in this nation. We see the enemy at work and we know he is warring and fighting to steal our destiny. He is warring for the soul of this nation. There are two distinct groups that want very different things. We want biblical values. We want the destiny You have planned for America. We want to be that light and voice for the Gospel to this nation and to the nations of the earth that You destined us to be. We believe You are going to do this in part through a Third Great Awakening. You are going to pour Your Holy Spirit out on this nation that will be unlike anything the earth has ever seen. We know that government matters to You and You are also planning to turn our government Your direction. Your Word says that righteousness exalts a nation and sin is a disgrace. Your Word tells us that when righteousness rules, there is peace and the righteous rejoice. We know that the Supreme Court of the United States must be changed in order for this governmental shift to fully happen. Lord, forgive our courts for unrighteous rulings that have given increased access to sin and darkness. You can roll back those decisions. You can roll back time. With Isaiah 22:22 and Matthew 16 authority, we, Your Ekklesia, have the authority to bind and loose, and to open and close doors. We close the doors now to every unrighteous, humanistic, anti-Christ, unbiblical, pro-death, pro-immorality decision. We open the door to reversal. We say that Your Kingdom rule is coming to that Court. Change it in any way that You deem appropriate and necessary. We pray all these things to honor the Name of Jesus, amen. The Importance of Praying in the Holy Spirit’s Language [This past Sunday morning my brother, Tim Sheets, released a message that will help the Body of Christ …] “On July 14, I heard the Lord say, ‘For the Church to see the change it desires, it must partner with Holy Spirit. It is not an option.’ On July 21, He said, “I will now introduce Holy Spirit to the world. He will function in visible leadership in the Ekklesia in worldwide ways and with explosive power.” “About five years ago, I asked the Holy Spirit, ‘Why tongues? Why a Spirit language? What is the reason behind it beyond the day of Pentecost when people could hear of Your glorious works in their own language?’ From that day on, the Bible tells us the apostles and the Church practiced speaking in other tongues. I am still receiving revelation from His answer. He said, ‘It’s governing intercession.’” My initial thought was, ‘Of course it is! How did I miss that? How did I miss that it is about government?’ It is about many other things, but it is also about governing. It is about the governing of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit leads the heirs of God, the joint heirs with Christ, in intercession with this language. It is the governing language of Christ’s Kingdom on the earth. It is Spirit language that helps the King’s Ekklesia to rule and reign with Him as governing heirs on the earth. That is one of the vital strategic meanings of ‘tongues’. This is part of the restoration of the dominion mandate that God gave man in Genesis 1:26-28, ‘...Have dominion and subdue the earth...’ The Bible says He will fill us with His power and His presence and that He helps us to pray governing prayers in restored Spirit language (the language of the Spirit). We also pray in our natural language— prayers which we pray in authority in Jesus’ Name. This is what I believe Zephaniah 3:9 is talking about when it says, ‘For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, that they all may call on the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one accord.’ It is meant to unify the Church, not divide it as it so often has. It is meant to help us war together against principalities and powers opposing the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom in the earth. God has given us spiritual weapons meant to demolish corrupt cultures and warped philosophies. We are given these weapons to tear down barriers so that the lost can receive God’s Truth. This is why the Holy Spirit prays Spirit-governing prayers through His Ekklesia. “Church, we need to pray in tongues. This is a weapon of our warfare. We need to pray in the Spirit so much more than we are. We need to get comfortable with it. We need to pray governing, Holy-Spirit-language-prayers, and advance Christ’s Kingdom on the earth.” “In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.” (Romans 8:26-27; WEB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray in the language of the Holy Spirit—in tongues—for a while. If you have never received this gift, pray in your native language as led by the Holy Spirit. If you haven’t yet received this wonderful gift, this is the perfect day to ask God to give you the gift of tongues! Look at Mark 16:17, Acts 2:4, and Acts 19:6, then pray and receive. Ask God for a new wave of Holy Spirit baptisms on this generation of Believers. Declare, “The Ekklesia of God will receive new understanding of praying in tongues. We will intercede in the Spirit more than we ever have before." A prayer you can pray: [Pray in the language of the Holy Spirit—in tongues—for a while. Or pray in your native language as led by the Holy Spirit.] Lord, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit and the prayer language He gives us. We so often have no idea how to pray. It’s comforting to know You made a way for us to pray unceasingly by partnering with the Holy Spirit and using the language He gives us. Thank You for the revelation that this is a governing language. We can see that we can pray into the expansion of Your Kingdom without having to know what we are asking for. You line our prayers right up with Your Will and Your Word when we pray in tongues. Lord, in the Jesus Movement and the Charismatic Movement, You poured Your Holy Spirit out in great measure. So many of us were filled at that time. The Body of Christ today needs a new and fresh move like that. Encourage pastors and other leaders to teach us about this gift. Fill those that have come into the Kingdom in the last decade or two. Pour Your Spirit out again afresh and new. Let an army of tongue-praying Christians be added to the Ekklesia’s ranks, so the Kingdom can be expanded more quickly! Thank You, Jesus. Amen.
