Racial Reconciliation

[In today’s article, Mike and Cindy Jacobs present a biblical call to prayer for one of the major issues of our time.] “The Word of God tells us, ‘God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.’ Therefore, ‘put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all. Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another, and if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.’ “It's time to amend and repair what is corrupt, and to build the institutions of our government and society according to their God-ordained order and organization. To see our nation transformed, we must go beyond a mandate that only sees souls saved. We must work to see Christians grow in the Lord, and we must see the kingdom of God invading every sector of our society. God wants His Kingdom Will to be done on earth through us! If a nation is transformed without being reformed, it will soon fall back into its original state of decay.” "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galations 3:28; NIV) Points for Prayer (by, the Jacobs):

  • Declare the Word: "From one man he made all nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands." ( Acts 17:26; NIV)

  • Declare the Word: "For we are all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free, and we were all given one Spirit to drink." (1 Corinthians 12:13; NIV)

  • Declare the Word: "Anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going because the darkness has blinded them." ( 1 John 2:11; NIV)

  • Declare the Word: "A new command I give to you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." (John 13:34; NIV)

  • Believe that the Lord will heal our racial divide and heal our nation.

A prayer you can pray: Lord, we declare into the atmosphere over America Your own Word! "From one man You made all nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and You marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands." ( Acts 17:26; NIV) "For we are all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free, and we were all given one Spirit to drink." (1 Corinthians 12:13; NIV) "Anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going because the darkness has blinded them." ( 1 John 2:11; NIV) You have given us a new command, "Love one another.” As You have loved us, so You ask us to love one another. (Taken from John 13:34; NIV) We declare today that You are able to take our nation another step further in racial reconciliation. We know this horrible sin can likely not be completely eradicated, because it originates in the heart of sinful man. However, we have also seen how we have made strides forward in the past when we respond well to the cries of those in pain, revealing injustice. We believe we are in another wave of that kind. Let us benefit from the season. Heal our nation a little more. Thank You for Your grace and mercy, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: It's time to repair the racial divide in America! We shall be one!
