Keep the Faith
What occurred in Tuesday’s midterms is not unusual. President Clinton and Democrats lost 54 House seats in 1994, Obama lost a whopping 63 in 2010, Trump lost 40 in 2018, and in this election he cut that down to 25. That said, factoring in the number of governor seats lost and the state legislatures that were turned, it was a sound defeat to Republicans. The faithful intercessors who listen to me don’t need me to become a political analyst. It is certainly not my God-given assignment to analyze the tactical reasons Republicans lost many seats in the midterms. I want to comment on a couple of things, however, that relate to prayer points in past Give Him 15 posts.
The first is President Trump’s decision to deal with Iran. This is being touted by many, including Vice President Vance, as a huge mistake and the reason many republicans lost this election. I don’t believe this. I believe it was necessary and right for the President to do so, as I have stated in the past. I believe it was the length of the war that became a problem.
I believe mistakes were made by not finishing it quickly, but instead choosing the strategy of pausing and conducting months of fruitless negotiations with lying terrorists. These delays are what allowed Iran to interfere with our economy, which strongly impacted the elections. (The delay was a strategy pushed by others, including Vice President Vance. He is now trying to distance himself completely from the war, preparing for his 2028 run for the White House.)(1)
Though President Trump engaged with Iran militarily, he did not begin the conflict. The first thing the Iranian regime did in 1979 when they took power was attack and take over our embassy and hold 52 American workers hostage for 444 days. President Carter let this continue for over a year; only the Iranians’ fear of Reagan becoming President ended the siege. Obama later sent them pallets of cash in the middle of the night to appease them ($1.7 billion). Through their terrorist activities and weapons, Iran has been responsible for the deaths and maiming of thousands of Americans since the regime took over.
Referring to America as “the Great Satan” did not begin when Trump took Office and will not end when he leaves. It began in 1979. The regime has stated unequivocally that they want to destroy America and Israel, and they mean it. Only a fool would allow them to acquire nuclear weapons. And only a fool would abandon our ally, Israel, allowing Iran to destroy them. We must remain loyal to Israel. There is only one way to deal with murdering terrorists, which is to destroy them. At some point, the job will have to be finished.
I also remain convinced that at this time, Iran is one of the most ripe harvest fields in the world and is key to the great harvest beginning in the Middle East. The war is as spiritual as it is physical. We have been, and must continue praying that the evil regime is removed and that the revival there increases many times over.
Also, because we have prayed much for Congress, and will continue to do so, I want to make a few brief comments about this branch of our government. I agree with those saying the midterms were not as much an endorsement of the far-left positions of the Democratic Party, as they were an indictment of Republicans. In 2024, the American people very clearly showed that they did NOT like the policies of the left; this is why they voted overwhelmingly for Trump. President Trump has worked very hard to fulfill his promises and has been able to do so regarding many of them. He has accomplished more in 2 years than perhaps any previous president.
It is Congress that has been dragging its feet, especially the Senate. They have done very little to support Trump’s policies; in fact, they have intentionally obstructed him. The Americans who put them in power in 2024 are angry. Some stayed home; others voted for Democrats, just to make their point. Clearly their loyalty is shifting more and more to policies and actions, not a political party. I like that, just not their method of demonstrating it.
And they will pay for this temper tantrum. The economy will suffer, the Left will try to reopen the border, lawfare will amp back up, wokism will be pushed again, more kids will be mutilated, Christianity will be fought while other religions are favored, the strengthening of our military will be opposed, citizenship and voting rights for illegals will be pushed, green scams will be implemented again – how quickly we forget.
The good news, however, is that more and more leaders are getting the point that voters have had enough. God-honoring, patriotic Americans are fed up with politics as usual and want to see appropriate change – a return to common sense, less government control, a strong America, and the honoring of our roots.
Those of us who faithfully pray for our nation must stay focused. We must pray for our government, asking for the accomplishing of God’s plans and purposes. He needs a strong America in order to accomplish His great harvest throughout the world. We can make that happen!

Father, thank You for the honorable members of Congress who are truly there to serve. Many of them sacrifice much, including time with their families, to do so. Promote, prosper, and protect them. Deliver us from power-hungry members who do not truly love America, and who have antichrist, anti-biblical ideologies and motives. Remove their voices and their abilities to succeed. Shake them loose from their positions.
Thank You for President Trump and his sacrifices. Thank You for the positive things he has done for America, and we ask that he be given supernatural help to continue this for the next two years. Give him wisdom as he decides what to do with the Iran situation, and keep his heart loyal to Israel. If he needs cabinet changes, please oversee the process and give us wise leaders.
We also ask that You work mightily to heal our nation. Deliver us from the great divides that have been created, causing distrust and confusion. Deliver us from those who work to create these divides. Tear down the strongholds in media that fuel this, removing their resources and the ability to function. Do the impossible You’re known for and heal our land. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Jesus is Lord and King over all the nations, and we pledge our undying devotion to Him.
Let’s not forget to pray fir those who certify elections, that they would do their job skillfully and honorably, removing fraudulent votes!
I give praise to ABBA FATHER who has complete control. I will continue to pray for HIS will to be done through America to bring the Third Great Awakening I listened to a broadcast from Israel yesterday that cleared up the Presiden’t stand on Israel. He did not renounce Israel, but merely changed his direction to assist them. He released them from dependence on America to be able to build their strength within Israel. They had asked for this independence and President Trump united with their request. Now President Truimp is free to assist them in different ways that he wasn’t free to do before. I pray that GOD will put an end to this evil regime in Iran …
I am still feeling heartbroken, but I don't know why I am surprised! How many times has the Lord said that HE would save America and it would be obvious that it is by HIS hand - not anything we can do ourselves. If red had won the mid-terms, then that would be human effort and it would be Trump saved America. No - it has to be this way. It must be seen as Abba's hand that moves and delivers change despite the blue waves in front of us. HE WILL MAKE A WAY THROUGH.
