Every Vision Matters “For generations the focus within the four walls of the church has been on one person’s vision. That person was the one in the pulpit. Their vision was exalted above everyone else’s vision. The congregation existed to serve the vision of the head. Many within the church have been given a vision by the Lord. The vision that they have is one part of a divine plan to see Christ’s kingdom on display in the earth. What if everyone in the church was doing their God given dream? What would happen in your city if each believer was accomplishing the vision the Lord gave them?” (Ken Malone)1 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you… This is written to all believers. Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. And these signs will accompany those who have believed.” (Matthew 28:19 and Mark 16:15 and 17; NKJV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: If you have been in a leadership role and demanded that congregants or staff and associates only go where you are going, repent. If you are one who has had their vision shut down by a leader who believed that only the vision of the head should be accomplished, forgive. Do you know what your God-given vision is? If so, ask God how to step out and pursue it, even if leadership is not okay with you doing so. Some in the Body of Christ are called to help carry another’s vision. If that’s you, do so with your whole heart! The Lord will bless you richly as you serve. A prayer you can pray: Father, I repent for believing that only a senior leader’s vision matters. I forgive those who may have been in leadership and blocked me from moving forward to advance Your Kingdom, instead of helping me do so. Forgive me when I have limited You due to my limiting mindset. Change it, Lord! Sharpen my vision and grant me boldness to accomplish it as You start to open those supernatural doors ahead of me. My city, state and nation are about to change! Lead and guide and direct me, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: Every Believer’s vision that was given by God to them is critical to the advancement of God’s Kingdom and I will help make that a reality. Superintending Providence Affirming the Lord’s governing intervention, Benjamin Franklin said, “All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of superintending providence in our favor.” That same “superintending providence” is available today. In spite of our many flaws and numerous failures, God’s hand has been, and remains, on America. From the first man Adam, to the apostle Paul, history has proven that God uses imperfect people. The same is certainly true of nations. Though America is scarred and flawed, we still possess a divine purpose. Rest assured, the Sovereign, who bestowed purpose on America, knows how to resurrect it. “Then you and your children will return to the Lord your God, and you will obey him with your whole being in everything I am commanding you today. Then the Lord your God will give you back your freedom.” (Deuteronomy 30:2-3a; NCV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Get on your knees today and thank God for His “superintending providence.” He is watching over us and over America to will and to do His good pleasure according to Philippians 2:13. Thank the Lord that He uses imperfect people and imperfect nations in His ultimate plan. Our place as Believers is to seek Him for how to intercede and how to “see” His sovereign plan unfolding. So, ask Him for instructions and pray whatever He says and do whatever He says, then watch and see what happens. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we know that Your plan will unfold at the exact right time in the exact right way. We thank You that You involve us in those plans. We thank you that You watch over us and over the nation for Your perfect purpose. We may have been weighed in the balance and found wanting, but that doesn’t stop You from whispering Your directions to us for intercession and action. Move upon us in Your superintending providence, Jesus! Amen. Today’s decree: God will surprise us in this nation with His superintending providence! He is not finished with us yet!

Choosing to Appeal to Heaven In the days of the Appeal to Heaven flag’s genesis, the American colonists had no chance of winning a war with the world’s greatest empire, Great Britain. “Chance,” however, lost its relevance once they chose an appeal to heaven over conceding to fate. When those ill-prepared and poorly equipped revolutionaries appealed for assistance to the Giver of inalienable rights, the tide turned. When they agreed to come under God’s governance and honor His ways, He who “governs in the affairs of men,” as Ben Franklin stated at the Constitutional Convention, did just that. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock; and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Are you given to conceding to fate, just letting things work themselves out, or waiting to see what will happen? If so, repent. God wants us involved in His plans and purposes! Are your circumstances challenging, even ridiculously hard? Remember our nation’s founders. Tell the Lord you will not look at circumstances or what you have or don’t have, but you will pray and believe! Cry out to God for the faith to believe what He says! Pray the same way over a problem America faces. Pick any subject where you feel you can intercede with passion and compassion. Go for it—appeal to heaven! And, expect heaven’s miracle answers! A prayer you can pray: Father, forgive me when I fall into apathy and feel like “what can I do about it?” My problems are hard and sometimes seem impossible. The problems this nation faces overwhelm me at times. I get tired of thinking about the challenges! Forgive me, Lord, because I am forgetting that You care more about these things than I do! You want to do something about it! All you want me to do is pray with fervency and ask and press in and knock and knock and knock! Passion doesn’t stop appealing to heaven until we see the answer is secure! In Jesus’ name. Amen. Today’s decree: We will appeal to heaven on behalf of our nation and God will intervene just as He has done in the past!

Our Stability We need God to show up! That’s what a Great Awakening is about – God showing up. We don’t need a great outpouring of emotion, although some may be emotional. We need change – change of hearts and lives, and societal change. We need confidence in Christ, wholeness and perseverance. “People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole, steady on their feet, because they keep at it and don’t quit.” (Isaiah 26:3; The Message) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Call for God to come to America. Tell Him you will not stop until You see Him moving in unprecedented measure! Thank Him for the multitudes of souls that will be saved and the change to society that is coming to America, as a result. A prayer you can pray: God, come to America! Look at us, Lord. We are in desperate need of You. Look at us, Lord. We have moved far from You. I will not stop crying out until I see your move. I will persevere in intercession for as long as it takes. Thank You for all of those who will be saved in this move of God. Thank You for the changes You are making in our nation Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: I decree that God is about to show up in a third Great Awakening in America!

The Prayer God Can’t Resist God calls David a man after His own heart. Yet, we see David live a life that’s far from perfect. Doesn’t it make you wonder why God makes this proclamation about him? Do you ever wonder if God can really use you with all of your sin and imperfection? Pray David’s prayer in Psalms 86:11 and know it is a prayer God will answer. “Unite my heart to fear Your name.” (Psalms 86:11c; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Remember David and bring to the Lord your sin, insecurities and fears. Ask the Lord to help you, to unite your divided heart and put you in fresh awe of Him! Know that He answers this prayer, as He wants you fully His! He has a plan and wants you to be a part of it! A prayer you can pray: Dear Lord, forgive me my sin, insecurity and fear. I need your help, Jesus. I desire to do your will and my heart is not always fully yours. Heal the division in my heart, so I may know You more, hear You more clearly and put You first. I want to be in awe of You again! Unfold the plan You have for me and for this nation and let me participate in what you are doing! In the Name of Jesus, Amen. Today’s decree: I decree that God will focus my heart 100% on Him and on His will!

You have Permission “If you love Jesus, you have permission to pray for the sick.” (Bill Johnson) You have all of the permission you need from God to work the works that Jesus did. You received that permission the day you said yes to Him for the very first time. When you made Jesus the Lord of your life, you entered His Kingdom and you received everything He has to offer. Let’s get to it! “We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work.” (John 9:4; NLT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Thank the Lord that you have permission to work the works that Jesus did. Read John chapter 9 and Acts chapters 3 and 4. Miracles open doors to share the gospel. Ask the Lord to give you clear moments and great boldness to pray for the sick—outside the walls of the church, as you go about your regular day. Be ready to tell people about this Jesus that healed them. Watch His name spread from one person to another across this land! A prayer you can pray: Father, thank you for the reminder that I don’t need any more permission to pray for the sick than what You have already given me in Your Word. Healing the sick makes hearts open to hear more about Jesus. Give me a divine setup today to pray for someone who is sick. The results are Yours, but I am believing You want to heal the sick and that You want to use me as a conduit of Your love to others so that they will worship You, too! Let Jesus’ name be raised up everywhere across this nation! Amen. Today’s decree: Jesus loves me and has already given me permission to heal the sick!

Consecrated Ones Periodically, the Lord will pour out an anointing of consecration on a generation. It is a wave of Holy Spirit led holiness. A hunger for the Word and a thirst for righteousness grabs hold of the people, especially the young. In this wave of passion for the Lord, apathy flees. A cry for the hearts of the fathers to turn to the children rises. The effects of sin on the generation suddenly break and the beauty of freedom from sin washes over them, instead. These are those God launches into the harvest fields of the nation and the earth. “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ask the Lord to create a passion and hunger for the Word of God in this generation. Pray that this hunger for the Word will cause a wave of consecration, righteousness and holiness to take the place of religiosity in the American Church. Intercede for this generation to have the effects of fatherlessness, condemnation from sin and shame broken off of them in a moment! Decree that these Nazarites will be launched into the harvest here and abroad! A prayer you can pray: Lord, we ask that biblical illiteracy would be broken off of the young generation. We’re asking that Your Word would take first place in their lives. We’ve seen glimpses in years past and we ask for another wave of consecration to come. Burning fiery ones, God! Nazarite consecration on a generation. Let Your Word be esteemed again in this generation. We break apathy and fatherlessness, condemnation and shame off of them and we release them to be who You made them to be. Let them take the gospel to the nation and the farthest reaches of the earth. In Jesus’ Name, amen. (Matt Lockett)1 Today’s decree: This shall be a consecrated generation passionate about and filled with the Word of the Lord and reaping an unprecedented harvest of souls in the United States and the nations of the earth! 1 Learn more about Matt Lockett here.

Call For the Cafeteria Preachers In March of 2016, a teenager by the name of Skyler Miller felt led of the Lord to preach to fellow students right on campus at Logan High School in West Virginia. This young preacher knew the touch of God—he had been healed twice of leukemia. His boldness sparked a revival that has spread across West Virginia. Skyler is careful not to attribute the whole thing to his preaching, as the Lord clearly poured out in other places, as well, but as far as anyone can tell this bold young man was the Firestarter in his state. So much so that the secular media has reported on it. Who will be next?! “As Scripture says, ‘Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.'” (Romans 10:11; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Boldly ask the Lord to raise up young men and women filled with the Holy Spirit who will unashamedly preach the gospel in their schools. Go on, name the high schools and junior highs in your city right now and call for revival there. Open the way for them in prayer. Pray for God to prepare hearts. Pray for receptive teachers and administrators. Pray for the hardest hearts and most challenging students to be radically saved and delivered, so there is no doubt that this is an awakening move of God! A prayer you can pray: Lord, we ask for an awakening in the high schools of America. We call forth the cafeteria preachers in the United States. Bring forth the lunchroom preachers to reverse the curse in the land. And if the administration pulls one down, God, we ask that two would take their place. Awakening in the high schools! Awakening in the junior highs! Raise up historic revivals in the schools, God! I call for revival in my local schools (name them by name.) (Matt Lockett)1 Today’s decree: We make a decree that nothing will not be able to stop the awakening wildfire that is about to be unleashed through the students preaching the gospel of Christ in their schools! 1 Learn more about Matt Lockett here.

The 15th Anniversary of 9/11 There are shift points in history. These are moments in time where life was one way before certain events occurred and different forever after they happened. September 11, 2001 was a shift point in American history. It was also a shift point in global terrorism. What our nation never thought could happen, indeed had not transpired for over 200 years, was a reality—an act of war on American soil. And now we experience personal and national grief each year as we remember more than 3000 souls were lost. More than 10% of them were emergency responders. “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4; KJV) “The Lord defends those who suffer; he defends them in times of trouble.” (Psalm 9:9; NCV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: 9/11 was a shift point in American history. Mourn with those who mourn today—the families and friends of the more than 3000 people who died and the many thousands who have died from related illness since. Jesus’ death on the cross was a shift point in human history. Thank the Lord that He knows the sting of death and He has enough compassion to comfort every individual and the nation as a whole. Ask Him to heal each heart. Pray for emergency responders across the nation and around the world who continue to deal with threats of terrorism. Pray they uncover every plot and plan to cause harm. Pray for their safety. A prayer you can pray: Father, today is a day of national mourning for the United States of America. We mourn with those who mourn the loss of loved ones on 9/11 and those lost since, whose bodies or minds were affected by the aftermath, many of whom were emergency responders and the military. May we not mourn forever, Lord. Comfort our people. Heal the hearts of the hurting. Heal bodies and minds. We know You understand. We thank You for Your protection over us that this will never be repeated again. Lead police and other investigators to uncover every plot against our nation. Lord, we put our trust completely in You. Thank you, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: We humbly put our trust completely in the Lord to save us.

We Don’t Care What It Looks Like When God has moved in awakening and revival historically, it was pretty messy. It was pretty noisy. It sure didn’t look like what religious minds had in mind. It was the same when Jesus showed up on the earth and started walking around performing miracles and showing us God. He didn’t fit in the Temple box back then and He doesn’t fit in the Church box now. We need to let Him be GOD if we really, really want Him! “They questioned Him, saying, “Teacher, we know that You speak and teach correctly, and You are not partial to any, but teach the way of God in truth.” (In other words, teach the way of God the way we understand it to be.) (Luke 20:21; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ask God if you have a “box” you like Him to fit in. Repent. Invite Him to show up in and through your life and this nation any way He wants to show up! Read Luke 4:18-30. Ponder it a while and pray into it. Pray verses 18-19 over your life when you are ready. A prayer you can pray: “God, we take off our ‘boxes’. We say, ‘You can do whatever You want! Just come, Almighty God. Wake us up! We don’t want You boxed in! Come and have your way in this nation. Awaken this lost, deceived, hurting generation. Whatever it looks like, whatever it sounds like, come Holy Spirit, awaken a nation! Come, Almighty God! Awaken!’” (Hannah Sheets) Today’s decree: The Lord will come any way He wants to awaken this nation…and we welcome Him any way He shows up!

A Heart of Thanksgiving It’s time we put away our religious vocabulary and religious thoughts of how to approach the throne of grace and just get there! Aren’t you tired and weary of trying to please God, yet? You please Him! He is working behind the scenes on your behalf! Nothing you can do can make Him love you more than He already massively does! So, now our place is to be thankful! Thankful for everything – all we have, our circumstances, our relationships, our opportunities. Thank Him and enjoy Him! “Be thankful. Let Christ’s Word with all its wisdom and richness live in you. Use psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to teach and instruct yourselves about God’s kindness. Sing to God in your hearts. Everything you say or do should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Colossians 3:15c-17; GWT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Repent for letting religion get in the way of a deep relationship between you and Him. Thank Him for His amazing love for you! Ask Him for a revelation of His goodness to you – His Glory manifest toward you. Worship Him when you get it. Pray Colossians 3:15c-17. Pray it again and make it personal saying, “I will be thankful! I will let…” Now start thanking Him for everything you can think to thank Him for and may your life be forever changed. A prayer you can pray: “Father, we pray over the heart of the Church. We ask you to forgive us for everything in our lives that has kept You from coming in the way You want to come. Help us as Your Church to draw near to You with our hearts and not just our minds. We need a revelation of Your Glory, which is the goodness of God. How good You are! May we have words of thanksgiving flowing out of our mouths day and night! Thank you, Jesus! Amen.” (Cheryl Sacks)1 Today’s decree: Thanksgiving to Him for all things will flow out of my mouth on a constant daily basis! 1 Learn more about Cheryl Sacks here.

Well-Re-diggers Become Well-Carriers Our nation’s religious history is full of men and women of God that carried wells of revival and evangelism. From Jonathan Edwards and John Wesley to A. A. Allen, Kathryn Kuhlman and Billy Graham, we have noted well-carriers. Well-carriers are those with deep revival and evangelism wells in them who are not afraid to go splashing around wherever God takes them. Miracle signs and salvations and healings follow them. Notice that most well-carriers comfortably ministered outside of the established church. Tell the Lord you are willing to go wherever He sends you. Let’s re-dig those revival wells in America and become well-carriers! “He dug out the wells that had been dug during his father Abraham’s lifetime. The Philistines had filled them in after Abraham’s death. He gave them the same names that his father had given them.” (Genesis 26:18; GWT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Tell the Lord that you want to be one who re-digs the revival wells of our nation’s past. Learn who those revivalists were and remind the Lord as you pray: Billy Graham had a well of mass evangelism, A. A. Allen had a well of healing, and William Brannan had a well of miracles flowing. Here is a good list to get you started. Say to the wells, “Come alive!” If there is a capped well in you, cry out to the Lord to uncap it! Be specific in your request of the Lord and get ready to walk in it – outside the walls of church buildings! A prayer you can pray: “Lord, we re-dig the wells of healing. We decree that the wells of healing begin to rise forth and we say to the wells that A. A. Allen dug, begin to come forth! We tap into the wells of William Brannan and Billy Graham. Begin to awaken in Jesus’ name! We say to those wells, “Come Alive!” Signs and wonders and miracles! Mass evangelism! We tap into those wells right now. We tap into the wells of miracles and of the prophetic. We pull that movement from the 50’s into today.” (Ken Malone)1 Today’s decree: We will plow in prayer until we have re-dug the wells of revival from our nation’s past! 1 Learn more about Ken Malone here.
