First Presidential Debate The upcoming national elections are crucial for America. They will either make or break the nation. The only possible hope for America is PRAYER. The 2016 Presidential Debates will have a big impact on what happens in this country for many years to come. The first of those debates is tonight, Monday, 9/26, at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY. It will be moderated by Lester Holt of NBC. It will consist of six 15-minute segments selected by the moderator and announced ahead of the debate. “Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?” (2 Chronicles 1:10; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ask the Lord to protect each candidate, moderator and attendee, as well as Hofstra University, and that His Holy Spirit and angelic host will intervene wherever necessary so that His plans and purposes can be carried out in this nation. Take His authority that He has given to His followers to command and decree that the enemy will not have any power over the debates or the elections. Pray that during the debates, God will bring clearness and wisdom to the person of His choice. Pray that person will have discernment and wisdom from God in what they say and do. Pray for Lester Holt of NBC, who will be moderating the debates. May he be fair and unbiased. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we pray for the future of our nation today as we pray for the first Presidential Debates. We ask that you would protect each candidate and attendee from harm and that Hofstra University would be a safe and secure place for the debates tonight. We decree that Lester Holt of NBC will be fair and balanced as the moderator and that his questions will not be distorted. We also pray that neither he nor any other media source will misinterpret answers given by the candidates. We ask that You bestow Your Spirit of Wisdom on the person of Your choice, so that they can be clearly seen in their answers and actions. In the name of Jesus, amen. Today’s decree: God will help us see the candidate He is raising up to lead the nation for the next season as we intercede for the debates tonight!

Gather the People There are times in the scriptures where praying and doing what is right on an individual basis is simply not enough. On occasion, the Lord said, “Gather the people to me.” Some of those occasions were to listen to His instructions, such as at Mount Sinai, other times it was to fast and pray on behalf of the nation. On one such occasion in the book of Joel, the situation was so desperate that God said, “I want everyone to participate—the moms and dads, the children, even the newly married.” Joel’s call to prayer trumped even the honeymoon. America has come to such a desperate time. We must come together, set ourselves apart and give ourselves to the task of saving a nation through prayer.1 “Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber. Let the priests, who minister before the Lord, weep between the portico and the altar. Let them say, “Spare your people, Lord. Do not make your inheritance an object of scorn, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’” (Joel 2:16-17; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: This is a time to think corporately in intercession for the nation. Intercede and ask God to call the Body of Christ to prayer for this nation. Pray for Believers across all denominations, races and generations to gather together more and more in concerted intercession for our cities and country. Ask the Lord for a season to fast and pray with others nationally. Check out national prayer movements, such as the “Appeal to Heaven” movement and “As One – A National Appeal to Heaven.” Sign up and join in! A prayer you can pray: Father, this is a time for the Body of Christ to come together as You have called Your people to in desperate seasons in the past in order to fast and pray for national awakening and revival. We thank you that many Believers are beginning to be awakened to the state of the nation and to break free of their apathy to intercede like never before. Bring us together, Lord, across denominational, racial and generational lines. We must be able to put aside our differences, no matter how significant, to show the world what a united Church really looks like, as well as to please You! Lord, hear our corporate prayers for America! Bring us together as One in You! In Jesus’ name, amen. Today’s decree: The Church is being called together as One to appeal to heaven for the turning of our nation back to God! 1 Come to Middletown Ohio October 20 – 22, 2016 to Appeal to Heaven. What a Season! What a season we are in! What a challenging season, but what a great season of opportunity. Amazing opportunities, amazing spiritual warfare, amazing anger of the enemy to try to stop the purposes of God, which we know is not going to happen! We have to press through opposition to get to opportunity. Amazing season! “There is a real opportunity here for a great and worthwhile work, even though there are many opponents.” (1 Corinthians 16:9; GNB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: If we could only see what was on the other side of the enemy’s ranting! Rejoice, therefore, knowing that there is something really good coming! Knowing that God has a plan, tell the enemy to back off and get out of your way! Remind him that God’s plans will come to pass! Thank the Lord for increasing your faith. Intercede now with that increased faith for all of those situations you feel are opposing you, your family and our nation from moving forward. A prayer you can pray: Father, You are up to something wonderful! You see the enemy’s attacks against me and against this nation and You know why! You know that he is really opposing You and Your plans! Satan, back off, because God’s plans will come to pass and I am going to be here watching when they do! Thank You, Lord, for increasing my faith through these trials. I am looking forward with expectancy to seeing how you resolve all of these situations in my life, the life of my family and in my nation. (Name out loud the things that are troubling you.) In the Name of Jesus, Amen. Today’s decree: God, this season is amazing, because You are about to show Yourself strong against Your enemies and cause Your purposes to come to pass!

Tumultuous Times “Starting April 25th through October 20, 2016 will be the most tumultuous, confusing time this nation has known in over 160 or 170 years. We have now crossed over into a time that will determine our future. I want you to know how you are connected in the Body of Christ. I want you to know the Body of Christ will not be the same. You stand at a crossroad and must know how to turn! This is a time that America determines its future! But understand this: this is a time that those leading the Kingdom of God must move into their next identity.” (Chuck Pierce)1 “You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.” (Psalm 91:5-8; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: If reading the above prophetic Word by Chuck Pierce makes you feel afraid, read Psalm 91:5-8 aloud a few times and ask the Lord for a revelation of His protection over you and your family. Pray for wisdom in these tumultuous times and ask the Lord to prosper you in the midst of the turmoil. Pray that America will make the right choices to move forward on the path of destiny God desires for the nation. Pray that Kingdom leaders receive revelation of their identity and boldness on how to move the Body of Christ forward in these challenging and confusing times. A prayer you can pray: Father, if I am tempted to feel afraid in these unsettled times, I will declare Your Word out loud until You grant the revelation that You are with me and nothing evil shall befall me when my trust is in You. Grant me the wisdom I need for this season and prosper me in the midst of it. I ask that the people of the United States will make the decisions necessary to keep us moving forward on Your Kingdom path. Give our leaders revelation of their identities for this new season so they can lead this Kingdom advance forward in Jesus’ name. Amen. Today’s decree: God will show His Kingdom leaders how to navigate these tumultuous times and keep the Kingdom of God advancing in this nation. 1 Learn more about Chuck Pierce here.

The Sabers Are Rattling “Recently as I was praying for America, I heard these words, ‘The sabers are rattling, the sabers are rattling!’ I knew what it meant! Iran, North Korea, and the sword of Islam are restless. The sound of sabers rattling grew very loud in my spirit until they were deafening. While we have been hearing of ‘wars and rumors of wars’ for some time now, I have not felt such an alarm in my spirit, as I do now. We need to continue to pray for the United States for protection before the elections, as well as stand against a regional incident that could escalate into a major theatre of war. The world leaders who are for peace need great wisdom right now.” (Cindy Jacobs)1 “You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day. If you say, ‘The Lord is my refuge,’ and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.” (Psalm 91:5 and 9-10; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: See yourself standing in the gap and interceding for peace in the restless nations and ask God for mercy. Ask the Lord to grant wisdom and authority to those world leaders He has raised up as peacemakers in this hour. Pray they would be honored and heard. Intercede regarding terrorism and violence in this nation and pray against a regional incident that could launch World War III. Decree that the enemy will not be able to move God’s plan out of His timing. Pray for protection for the United States’ election season, over every candidate and for the post-election season, as well. Declare that there will be no riots after the elections. A prayer you can pray: Lord, I choose to stand in the gap and pray for peace over the nations. I believe the words of the prophet that there are forces in some nations, such as N. Korea and Iran, as well as some Islamic warring groups that would desire to start another world war. Grant Your wisdom and authority to peacemaking leaders, Lord. May they be honored and heard by the war-mongers, so that they will put their weapons down. Intervene and uncover plans for terror in this nation and in others. Protect our people as they go to the polls in November. Protect the candidates. I decree there will be peace following the elections, as well. In Jesus’ name, amen. Today’s decree: The enemy will not be able to succeed at increasing terror in this nation or in starting World War III anywhere in the earth. Earn more about Cindy Jacobs here.

It’s Time to Dream Again “For many believers their dream of ministry has died in the tomb of hope deferred, or trampled by insecure leaders and other believers, who did not encourage them to pursue their destiny or crushed by the trials of this life. However, your story is not over. God wants you to get into His storyline of redemption that will see the prodigal come home and a lost world saved. It’s time for your heart to beat again for the work of ministry the Lord has called you too. Are you ready? Are you ready to take the risk required to see a God-given dream resurrected? God believes in you. He put His dream within you. He is chasing you today to fulfill His destiny in your life. Begin to declare today, ‘He is my hope, He is my life and He is my source.’ Tell you heart to beat again.” (Ken Malone)1 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.” (1 Peter 1:3-6; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Receive the Lord’s balm of Gilead to your heart’s wounds if your dreams have died for the reasons stated above. Let Holy Spirit minister to you. Read 1 Peter 1:3-6 and pray it into your life. See God as your heart’s shield, your Savior, and your hope. Tell your heart to beat again and tell the Lord you are ready to risk dreaming again. Get a pen and paper out and ask Him to resurrect those dreams. If you feel you have never had a dream from God for your future in His Kingdom, get that pen and paper ready. Ask Him for one now. A prayer you can pray: Father, my heart is a bit shut down due to so many attacks against me and the dream(s) you have given me. Pour the balm of Gilead over my heart and heal it, Lord. Heal my emotions. As I pray 1 Peter 1:3-6 over my life, help me to know You as my heart’s shield, my Savior and the hope of my life. I command my heart to beat again! I want to risk dreaming with You, Lord. Resurrect dreams I have allowed to die. Give me new, fresh dreams of things we can accomplish together for this nation! Thank you, Jesus! Amen. Today’s decree: I decree my heart will beat again and I will dream together with God for my city and nation and watch those dreams come true! The Apostolic Model “I recently heard Apostle Barbara Yoder say, ‘The local church model gathers the community for a Sunday morning service.  We have gauged success by how many we can gather.  However, the Apostolic Center model sends the believer into the community.’  What a vast difference.  The Apostolic Center model EMPOWERS the believer and sends them out to do the work of the ministry.” (Ken Malone)1 “And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for works of ministry, to build up the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12; BSB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray that the Lord will grant revelation to local church pastors that they can be equippers of their congregants! Pray for those attending local churches that they would become dissatisfied with simply being taught the Word and would have a hunger to be equipped to go and serve Christ in their communities. Intercede for the Church to desire to advance the Kingdom of God in their city. A prayer you can pray: Lord, You taught us that church leadership is to equip the body of Christ for the work of service, not just to serve within a local congregation, but wherever You send us! Make us hungry, Lord, to be equipped. Help us want more than learning basic biblical principles on Sunday mornings on how to be a better Christian. We want to be equipped! Raise up the equipping apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers and evangelists. Let us get out there in our communities and advance Your kingdom everywhere we go! In the name of Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: The Church is moving from gathering Believers to equipping and sending them into the community! You can read more here and learn more about Ken Malone here.

Every Vision Matters “For generations the focus within the four walls of the church has been on one person’s vision. That person was the one in the pulpit. Their vision was exalted above everyone else’s vision. The congregation existed to serve the vision of the head. Many within the church have been given a vision by the Lord.  The vision that they have is one part of a divine plan to see Christ’s kingdom on display in the earth.  What if everyone in the church was doing their God given dream?  What would happen in your city if each believer was accomplishing the vision the Lord gave them?” (Ken Malone)1 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you… This is written to all believers. Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.  And these signs will accompany those who have believed.” (Matthew 28:19 and Mark 16:15 and 17; NKJV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: If you have been in a leadership role and demanded that congregants or staff and associates only go where you are going, repent. If you are one who has had their vision shut down by a leader who believed that only the vision of the head should be accomplished, forgive. Do you know what your God-given vision is? If so, ask God how to step out and pursue it, even if leadership is not okay with you doing so. Some in the Body of Christ are called to help carry another’s vision. If that’s you, do so with your whole heart! The Lord will bless you richly as you serve. A prayer you can pray: Father, I repent for believing that only a senior leader’s vision matters. I forgive those who may have been in leadership and blocked me from moving forward to advance Your Kingdom, instead of helping me do so. Forgive me when I have limited You due to my limiting mindset. Change it, Lord! Sharpen my vision and grant me boldness to accomplish it as You start to open those supernatural doors ahead of me. My city, state and nation are about to change! Lead and guide and direct me, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: Every Believer’s vision that was given by God to them is critical to the advancement of God’s Kingdom and I will help make that a reality. Superintending Providence Affirming the Lord’s governing intervention, Benjamin Franklin said, “All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of superintending providence in our favor.” That same “superintending providence” is available today. In spite of our many flaws and numerous failures, God’s hand has been, and remains, on America. From the first man Adam, to the apostle Paul, history has proven that God uses imperfect people. The same is certainly true of nations. Though America is scarred and flawed, we still possess a divine purpose. Rest assured, the Sovereign, who bestowed purpose on America, knows how to resurrect it. “Then you and your children will return to the Lord your God, and you will obey him with your whole being in everything I am commanding you today. Then the Lord your God will give you back your freedom.” (Deuteronomy 30:2-3a; NCV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Get on your knees today and thank God for His “superintending providence.” He is watching over us and over America to will and to do His good pleasure according to Philippians 2:13. Thank the Lord that He uses imperfect people and imperfect nations in His ultimate plan. Our place as Believers is to seek Him for how to intercede and how to “see” His sovereign plan unfolding. So, ask Him for instructions and pray whatever He says and do whatever He says, then watch and see what happens. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we know that Your plan will unfold at the exact right time in the exact right way. We thank You that You involve us in those plans. We thank you that You watch over us and over the nation for Your perfect purpose. We may have been weighed in the balance and found wanting, but that doesn’t stop You from whispering Your directions to us for intercession and action. Move upon us in Your superintending providence, Jesus! Amen. Today’s decree: God will surprise us in this nation with His superintending providence! He is not finished with us yet!

Choosing to Appeal to Heaven In the days of the Appeal to Heaven flag’s genesis, the American colonists had no chance of winning a war with the world’s greatest empire, Great Britain. “Chance,” however, lost its relevance once they chose an appeal to heaven over conceding to fate. When those ill-prepared and poorly equipped revolutionaries appealed for assistance to the Giver of inalienable rights, the tide turned. When they agreed to come under God’s governance and honor His ways, He who “governs in the affairs of men,” as Ben Franklin stated at the Constitutional Convention, did just that. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock; and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Are you given to conceding to fate, just letting things work themselves out, or waiting to see what will happen? If so, repent. God wants us involved in His plans and purposes! Are your circumstances challenging, even ridiculously hard? Remember our nation’s founders. Tell the Lord you will not look at circumstances or what you have or don’t have, but you will pray and believe! Cry out to God for the faith to believe what He says! Pray the same way over a problem America faces. Pick any subject where you feel you can intercede with passion and compassion. Go for it—appeal to heaven! And, expect heaven’s miracle answers! A prayer you can pray: Father, forgive me when I fall into apathy and feel like “what can I do about it?” My problems are hard and sometimes seem impossible. The problems this nation faces overwhelm me at times. I get tired of thinking about the challenges! Forgive me, Lord, because I am forgetting that You care more about these things than I do! You want to do something about it! All you want me to do is pray with fervency and ask and press in and knock and knock and knock! Passion doesn’t stop appealing to heaven until we see the answer is secure! In Jesus’ name. Amen. Today’s decree: We will appeal to heaven on behalf of our nation and God will intervene just as He has done in the past!

Our Stability We need God to show up! That’s what a Great Awakening is about – God showing up. We don’t need a great outpouring of emotion, although some may be emotional. We need change – change of hearts and lives, and societal change. We need confidence in Christ, wholeness and perseverance. “People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole, steady on their feet, because they keep at it and don’t quit.” (Isaiah 26:3; The Message) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Call for God to come to America. Tell Him you will not stop until You see Him moving in unprecedented measure! Thank Him for the multitudes of souls that will be saved and the change to society that is coming to America, as a result. A prayer you can pray: God, come to America! Look at us, Lord. We are in desperate need of You. Look at us, Lord. We have moved far from You. I will not stop crying out until I see your move. I will persevere in intercession for as long as it takes. Thank You for all of those who will be saved in this move of God. Thank You for the changes You are making in our nation Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: I decree that God is about to show up in a third Great Awakening in America!

The Prayer God Can’t Resist God calls David a man after His own heart. Yet, we see David live a life that’s far from perfect. Doesn’t it make you wonder why God makes this proclamation about him? Do you ever wonder if God can really use you with all of your sin and imperfection? Pray David’s prayer in Psalms 86:11 and know it is a prayer God will answer. “Unite my heart to fear Your name.” (Psalms 86:11c; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Remember David and bring to the Lord your sin, insecurities and fears. Ask the Lord to help you, to unite your divided heart and put you in fresh awe of Him! Know that He answers this prayer, as He wants you fully His! He has a plan and wants you to be a part of it! A prayer you can pray: Dear Lord, forgive me my sin, insecurity and fear. I need your help, Jesus. I desire to do your will and my heart is not always fully yours. Heal the division in my heart, so I may know You more, hear You more clearly and put You first. I want to be in awe of You again! Unfold the plan You have for me and for this nation and let me participate in what you are doing! In the Name of Jesus, Amen. Today’s decree: I decree that God will focus my heart 100% on Him and on His will!
