Healing the Inner City “Nehemiah set out to rebuild the walls and restore the gates of the ruined inner city of Jerusalem, and his task was completed in 52 days. Many thought that he and the returning exiled citizens of the city of Jerusalem would never be able to complete this enormous task. But with the help of King Artaxerxes and the wise and faithful cup bearer of the King, Nehemiah, the healing of the inner city of Jerusalem was completed. For practical purposes of intercession, the broken down walls and the burning gates of the inner cities of America represent spheres of influence that provide healthy and spiritual vitality for the inner cities of America, mainly: Government, Education, Family, Housing, Justice, and Economy. Today we will pray for President Trump and his administration.” (Rickie Bradshaw)1 “So the wall was finished on the 25th day of Elul.” (Nehemiah 1:1-11; 6:15; NKJV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Intercede on behalf of President Donald J. Trump as he considers a strategy for the rebuilding of the inner cities of America (1 Timothy 2:2) Pray for President Trump and his administration to have a desire to see the inner city lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God, who desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:2-5) Pray for the President and his administration that they will stand up for the poor and those who cannot stand for themselves, including the innocent ones in the womb. (Jeremiah 22:3) Give thanks to The Lord for giving the inner cities of America favor with the President in rebuilding the walls and the burning gates of the inner cities of America. (Nehemiah 1:11) A prayer you can pray: Father, we lift President Trump up to You and ask that You give him and those working with him a strategy for our inner cities. Their problems are challenging and unique, and affect many Americans. We desire to see our inner cities at peace. We want them to be places of safety and quietness. We pray for the many poor that reside in them and ask You to provide services for all and justice for the innocent ones. Let this President arise as a Nehemiah and rebuild the walls of our inner cities! Thank You, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: We decree that the Lord will rouse President Trump to have a strong desire and the wisdom needed to rebuild the walls of the inner cities of America! 1 Learn more about Rickie Bradshaw here.

Praying for Strong Families: Generations “On our family farm, I had the great privilege of being raised across the dirt road from my grandparents’ home. As a God-honoring couple, the things I learned from them and the shared experiences still deeply speak to my adult life today. Older people are often marginalized in our fast paced, technological society. Spiritually mature older people have so much opportunity to encourage and instruct those following behind them. Psalm 71:18 gives them a direct charge: “Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.” There is a responsibility upon our older Holy Spirit led elders to impact these truths. Let’s make sure we grant them ample opportunities to teach and instruct with accountability.” (Lisa Crump)1 “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” (Isaiah 46:4; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ask the Lord to grow seniors’ trust in Him as their lives change and many feel unneeded. May God show them how they can pray and serve in new ways.  Let all the elderly become saved through Jesus the Christ. May younger men and women seek the counsel of the spiritually mature to teach and hold them accountable. Intercede for the education of saving financially and preparing to live longer with great programs and insurance. Pray for families and the church to lead the way in caring for the elderly as God’s intent, with honor and respect for their lives and contributions to generations following them. Intercede for our nation and this new administration to instill laws and practices that protect and esteem this population appropriately with medical care and programs of good support with honor and respect. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we love our elderly! They are precious to You and should be treated as precious to us, also! They have wisdom and knowledge. They have lived long, fruitful lives where they have had a multitude of life experiences that can help the generations coming after them, if we will just take the time to listen. They have spiritual wisdom, financial wisdom, and relational wisdom. We must make room for them in our families, congregations and in our friendships. May they feel loved and released to impart all that they carry, so that the Body of Christ and the nation are made better. We ask that our government will honor them, as well and provide well for them in their old age. Thank You, Jesus! Amen. Today’s decree: We decree that the elderly in America will be honored and well-cared for! 1 Learn more about Lisa Crump and The National Day of Prayer here.

Praying for Strong Families:  Orphans, Widows and Singles “We have a responsibility from the Lord to the orphaned, widows and those without the support of close family.  James 1: 27 instructs us with, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” Singles also need the support of the church to help them be accountable and have deep, meaningful fellowship and friendship within the body of Christ. Our culture pounds negativity and temptations all day long and these without godly parents and spouses need to find a warm welcome and acceptance among believers, starting with me.” (Lisa Crump)1 “A father to the fatherless, defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.  God sets the lonely in families.” (Psalm 67:5-6a; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray for the new administration to create favorable adoption laws and practices, helping the multitudes of the fatherless, the orphans within our United States borders to find homes among Christians. Intercede for the church to arise to educate and enlist in adoptions of the fatherless in our states. Pray for Christian singles, widows and orphans to find their full destiny in the Lord, right where they are in life. Ask for them to find godly accountability relationships to learn, grow and thrive in contributing to their locale and nation.  That they overcome the lies that may be thrown at them. May our nation’s tax laws and other policies support those with less or with no family support, as appropriate. A prayer you can pray: Father, we boldly ask You for the creation of favorable adoption laws and practices in America. We, the Church, choose to take responsibility for the lives of the most in need in our nation—the widows, the orphans, the fatherless, and the single mothers. May we learn to educate about adoption, and may more Christians choose to adopt. May those who are often seen as the neediest in our society find and fulfill the God-designed plan for their life. May our tax laws and other policies undergird those in true need of family support. Thank You, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: The Church will choose to father the fatherless and care for the widows and orphans, and the government will see it and provide appropriate support. 1 Learn more about Lisa Crump and The National Day of Prayer here.

Praying for Strong Families: Children part 2 “There are so many ills waiting to attract your children and grandchildren today. There is little respect for home and parents, yet this is God’s best for nurturing children.  Gangs, drugs, suicide, sex among young people, porn, and lawlessness abound to derail our children from arriving to their destiny with the Lord.  What can be done?  The family, church, government and education each must seek ways to compliment one another, so that children have a safe place to be born, grow up, learn, work and thus serve others through contributing to life.” (Lisa Crump)1 “Honor your father and mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” (Exodus 20:12; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ask the Lord for this new administration to support and protect healthy programs that encourage appropriate learning, and for social experiments to be removed. Pray for parental rights to be protected. Intercede for religious liberty protection that affects our families, the church, and non-profits that work for the godly upbringing of children and young people. Pray for the educational system to be cleansed of ungodly curricula and liberal agenda bathroom and other policies. Ask the Lord for favor to Christian students, teachers, administrators, and boards, leading to prayer, and that Christian materials be welcomed in schools and universities. A prayer you can pray: Father, we ask that this new administration would support and protect programs that strengthen the family over those that are nothing but social experiments. We ask that the rights of parents to raise their children as they see fit would be protected. I pray that extends to the firm establishment of our religious liberties. Let it extend to our schools. Cleanse the curriculum and remove ungodly laws and policies, such as “The Bathroom Bills”. Give us God-fearing teachers and administrators that will work with parents for the sake of our children. Thank You, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: We decree that God will use this administration to shift things governmentally to support parents’ authority to make the best life-decisions for their children’s upbringing and education! Praying for Strong Families: Children part 1 “Children are a heritage from the Lord and truly a blessing from Him. To love a child is one of the purest forms of love that I know. Being a parent and grandparents helps one know the fierceness of unconditional love and is a shadow of God’s brilliant love for us. Husband and wife, the creation of children and grandchildren, are perfectly stated by, ‘Children’s children are a crown to the aged.” (Proverbs 17:6 The innocence of children, their very lives, are under direct assault at every level of government.  Abortion is one of the most tactical plans of the enemy, and the lies about its abuses are mainstream among those who put self over our God. Father forgive us…” (Lisa Crump)1 Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Repent for the innocence that has been lost, the pure lives of babies themselves. Ask the Lord to grieve and burden providers and liberals that continue to spread lies and cover-ups of the facts of abortion causalities affecting infants, mothers and fathers. Pray for the Supreme Court to reverse all legislation in favor of any level of abortion this year; no more legalized abortions. Intercede for the confirmation of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court who has taken a personal stand for life. Ask God to stop all abortion funding at federal and local levels; that all government abortion funding fraud will be uncovered, exposed and dismantled; that those funds be directed to family friendly needs. Intercede for no more demand and no supply; that no one will seek an abortion as our holy God burdens them with the joy of the gift of life itself. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we repent for the loss of over 58,5 million babies, since 1973’s Roe v Wade decision. Cause a deep grief to fall on those who promote and provide abortion. Expose the full horror of this demonic practice. We boldly ask for the ending of abortion in America. Give us Supreme Court justices who will stand for life and reverse abortion on demand—judges like Neil Gorsuch, who understand the value of life. Stop abortion funding through our Congress and let them transfer those funds to life-giving women’s health organizations. Let this next generation value life! In Jesus’ name, amen. Today’s decree: Abortion is coming to an end in America! Learn more about Lisa Crump and the National Day of Prayer here.

March 20 – Praying for Strong Families: Godly leadership “All of us were children at one time.  Many of us had the grace to be brought up in a God-honoring home and environment. Certainly all families have differing levels of dysfunction and issues. Yet, healthy families need a home that is a safe haven, a place for learning and being together. Before a couple become parents, they need to establish principles of their household.  Many forces will work to undermine that for them, but God must lead. Cultural chaos, confusion and messaging will be one of the ways the enemy works to influence, especially through social and news media.” (Lisa Crump)1 “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22:6; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray for the protection of Christian principles in society and this administration, so that God-honoring qualities become honored and respected rather than ridiculed. Ask for wisdom for this administration with current issues that are affecting the ability to have healthy family environments, such as: guns, legalized drugs, technology, immigration, etc. Intercede for news outlets and social media for truth in reporting, influencing opinions, and government interaction with all forms of media. Ask God for household leaders and government to seek His viewpoint over man’s, and not be swayed by every whim, alarm or latest news story, but to be rightly informed and responsive. A prayer you can pray: Father, more and more it seems that social media and news sources are determining what we “should think” about matters, such as “family”. We pray that You cause Truth to be broadcast in place of opinions touted as fact. Give wise answers to problems in America that threaten strong families: drugs, gangs, legalized drugs and the like. Let media leaders and government leaders rise up who can influence, in positive ways, things that can strengthen the nation’s families. Thank You, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: God cares more about family than we do, and He will raise up godly leaders that can shift the national dialogue about, and vision of, “family” to a positive and strong one. Praying for Strong Families: Marriage God knew the importance of not being alone as stated by Genesis 2:18, “It is not good for the man to be alone.  I will make a helper suitable for him.” That helper is “called woman, for she was taken out of man.” Genesis 2: 23b.  God knew that his creation would highly benefit from the institution of marriage and His purposes would be advanced through the strength that family is.  The bedrock of a strong family is a healthy marriage, mother and father.  Our culture today wants to also re-determine what marriage is.  But we are responsible to God, not our culture nor our government.  Many leaders want to protect God’s ways while others are constantly seeking to alter God’s design.” (Lisa Crump)1 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ask God for wayward hearts and minds to turn to Him and His ways while He may be found. That divorce would begin a sharp decline. Pray for elected officials to stand strong in honor of God and not give in to fear of man in issues of marriage legislation. Intercede for the new administration to learn from grounded scientific research of healthy families contribution to well-being in society and use this to implement good laws protecting the institution of marriage. Pray for a tremendous increase of healthy marriages for examples and support. Seek that Christian counseling resources would be easily affordable and available. Ask the Lord to bring godly Christian couples to the forefront as a witness to our nation and to the church. A prayer you can pray: Father, we are asking that You strengthen marriages in this nation. Holy matrimony is under attack and laws have been passed that alter Your design for marriage and family. We pray that government officials would pay attention to scientific research about the contributions healthy marriages and families bring to our society. We pray that those that know You and who govern us would fear You, and not the opinions of men. God, make a way for more biblically-based Christian marriage and family counseling to be available. Please help Christian families who are struggling not to revert to the world’s answers over Yours to correct their life situations. We must have You, Jesus! Amen. Today’s decree: We decree that God will strengthen marriages and ungodly legislation regarding this hallowed institution will be reversed in America. Praying for Strong Families: God’s Creation “Family is God’s creation, this it is not man’s or government’s authority to define.  The creation of humanity itself was a remarkable honor to mankind.  I often ponder how God must feel as our heavenly Father, our Creator.  His is fierce in His love and desire for His beloved creation.  Being made in His image is really an astounding honor from a perfect holy God to whom we will give an account one day of our choices.  One day we will face not a government, but God Himself as our judge.  Today, mankind is trying to re-define this divine creation of male and female from which all procreation comes.  We must contend for the holiness of God’s design of family, starting with male and female.” (Lisa Crump)1 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:27; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Intercede for governmental protection of God’s design for strong families as defined in the Holy Bible. Pray this eternal truth: “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,” (Proverbs 1:7a) to invade our cities, states and federal halls and courts. May a holy reverence come forth upon our entire nation. Intercede for elected officials and those they assemble, who oppose the things of God, to come to know the joy of serving His ways that are higher than ours, as recorded in Isaiah 55:9b. Ask the Lord to help our nation become a beacon in every church, state-federal hall and home, school and workplace to learn to love the Lord your God fully. A prayer you can pray: Father, You ordained the family. You began with one man and one woman. You gave them the ability to procreate, and “family” began. This was the world’s very first institution. It’s definition trumps government and law. We, Your Ekklesia, contend together today the family. We ask that a holy reverence of “family” would come upon our governing officials. We pray that those who oppose it would receive a revelation from You of its sanctity. We look for the day when the United States is that example of what the benefit of strong families looks like. Thank You, Jesus! Amen. Today’s decree: We decree that the concept of family, as ordained by God, will be honored in the United States of America, at the federal level and in every state and city! Praying for Our Military: Intelligence Support “Intelligence was critical in the days of Moses and remains so today for all military operations. Just as Moses sent out spies to perform reconnaissance of the land of Canaan, today’s military must have robust intelligence capabilities that alert them to danger and give them an understanding of the enemy’s intent, power and ability, and tactics. Currently, the Intelligence Community appears to be compromised, as many damaging leaks are coming out from the various intelligence entities, thereby compromising national security and endangering the lives of those in the US Military. Intelligence agencies and personnel must be committed to their task of supporting military operations and giving the men and women in uniform an extra margin for success in battle.” (General Jerry Boykin)1 “The Lord spoke to Moses saying, ‘Send me to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel’.”  (Numbers 13:2; ESV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray for leadership in the intelligence agencies that focus first on supporting the needs of our troops. Leaders who will throw political correctness aside are needed to provide our troops what they need to fight and win wars. Pray that our enemies will be revealed and that every planned attack will be exposed; that no enemy secrets will be hidden from our intelligence activities. Pray for stamina for every Intelligence professional. Ask the Lord to give them physical and emotional strength and stamina to endure the rigors of their work. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we pray that our government and military leaders would consider the safety of our troops in the way they handle and release intelligence. We ask that what needs released is released, but what must remain confidential is safe and secure. Political correctness must be put aside when precious military lives are at stake. We command every plan against America at home, and against our troops abroad would be exposed. Give our intelligence services the guidance they need. Uncover what needs uncovered, Holy Spirit. Thank you, Jesus! Amen. Today’s decree: We decree that God will cause every plan of darkness against our nation to get in the light! Learn more about General Jerry Boykin here.

Praying for Our Military: Reversing the Infringement of Freedom of Religion “Congress shall make no laws respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof………”.   – First Amendment to the US Constitution “Congress intended that every American would be free to believe what they chose and live according to their individual faith. More importantly, that Americans would also be free to speak about and live their individual faith without fear of repercussions. All faiths are welcome in this nation, as long as their faith does not threaten or conflict with the US Constitution. Those founding Fathers guaranteed future generations the freedom of religion, including the young men and women in the US military. They, more than most citizens, defend the freedoms of all Americans. Today, the religious liberties of military members are being infringed. Chaplains are being disciplined for praying in the name of Jesus, and individual service members of all services are suffering harassment and disciplinary action for living their faith openly. Low morale results from the infringements, and consequently, retention and recruitment of good people is problematic.” (General Jerry Boykin)1 “So then, my friends, because of God’s great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer.” (Romans 12:1; GNT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray for leaders who support the 1st Amendment rights of service members. Ask God to bring about a spiritual renewal and revival within the Armed Forces. Pray for new DOD Directives that make clear that individual religious liberty will be protected. Pray that all Christian military chaplains will be free to share and propagate the Gospel. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we ask that You help our leaders to fully support the guarantee of the First Amendment rights of our service members. Pour our spiritual renewal and revival among the ranks. Shift the DOD Directives to allow for individual religious liberty and that it be protected by law. Restore the freedom military chaplains have had and need to have to minister the Gospel freely in their service to this country. Thank You, Lord. Amen. Today’s decree: We decree that the Lord is restoring religious freedom to the military and it shall lead the way to freedom of religion in many other areas of American society! Praying for Our Military: Leaders With a Warrior Ethos “Leadership is a base principle of the US Armed Forces or any military. Strong leaders always command effective military units while weak leaders never succeed in building credible and capable units. American military leaders over the past eight years have been chosen largely because they were willing to support the Obama agenda, even at the expense of military readiness and capabilities. Consequently, they are not respected nor trusted by their subordinates. President Trump must appoint new leaders in short order. These leaders must be focused on war fighting and have proven records of leadership in combat operations. America can no longer accept leaders who are not willing to stand up, speak truth to power, and put their oath to the US Constitution first, above career. A warrior ethos is the most important quality needed in future leaders of our military.” (General Jerry Boykin)1 “The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task.” (1Timothy 3:1; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray for President Donald Trump to recognize the need for new leaders with proven records of leadership in combat. Ask God to identify those leaders to President Trump and to give him the discernment to know the true leaders from those who are self-serving careerists. Pray for God to give all leaders in our military the courage to act as leaders, even when the culture demands political correctness. Pray that they will all put the country first and stand on principle in all matters. A prayer you can pray: Father, we ask You for strong leaders over our military—over divisions, brigades, regiments, battalions, squadrons, platoons and the like.  We pray that our President would appoint even more brave, seasoned leaders to these critical positions. Let them be those that are servants and not self-serving. Grant them courage, Jesus. Grant them an anointing to stand against political correctness and do what the troops, the military, and the country needs! Amen. Today’s decree: We decree that the Lord shall cause great military leaders to be raised up and put in place for the United States of America. Learn more about General Jerry Boykin here.

Prayer for Our Military: Proper Equipping “Having the right equipment for battle is a biblical principle as espoused by Jesus to his disciples. Today’s military is inadequately equipped to defend the nation and to win wars. After sixteen years of continuous warfare in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other places around the globe, military hardware is worn out. It has not been replaced due to programmed budget cuts and sequestration. Half of the US Navy airplanes are grounded due to maintenance problems. The other services are experiencing similar problems with major military hardware and equipment. Every service member needs to have the best equipment that money can buy before going into battle, yet in many instances, our men and women in uniform are literally buying their own personal equipment items. This is an intolerable situation.” (Generals Jerry Boykin)1 “And if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one”.  (Luke 22:36; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ask the Lord to increase the Defense Budget to an appropriate level to support the equipment needs of our service members. Pray that God will give the US Congress wisdom in developing the Defense Budget. Pray that military leaders will use their resources wisely and stay focused on military readiness. A prayer you can pray: Dear Lord, my heart is heavy. Our military pay a dear price in many ways to protect myself, my family and my country from threats domestic and abroad. In order to do that, they should have the very best equipment. Will you touch the hearts of our nation’s leaders, so that they fund everything that is needed? Give them wisdom to know how to wisely budge. Let military leadership operate with good stewardship in the use of delegated resources. Thank You, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: I decree that our military will be well-equipped with all they need to protect and serve the citizens of the United States! Learn more about General Jerry Boykin here.
