An Update on Operation Outcry – Part 2
[Many of you have signed a petition to the Supreme Court to end abortion through The Moral Outcry. Constitutional Attorney Allan Parker concludes his update on the Moral Outcry today.]
“I want to thank the 375 Women of Operation Outcry who suffered late term abortions and allowed us to share their testimonies with the Supreme Court as Amicus Curiae (Friend of the Court) parties in the case. Here is the Appendix where, starting at page 4, you can read their testimonies (about two excerpts from each state). The Brief itself has testimonies from Mississippi Operation Outcry women who had late term abortions.
“The courageous testimony of Operation Outcry women like these has already been proven to move the heart of the Supreme Court Justices. First, the Court twice cited The Justice Foundation Brief which gave the testimony of 180 Women Injured By Abortion as Amicus Curiae in Gonzales v. Carhart. The Court upheld the federal partial birth abortion ban. Second, in the recent Louisiana abortion case, Justice Alito writing (unfortunately only for the minority of four Justices) cited the women’s testimonies stated as follows:
“‘Amici who have had abortions recount similarly distant relationships with their abortion doctors. See Brief for 2,624 Women Injured by Abortion, et al. as Amicus Curiae 14-22 (first-hand accounts of abortion procedures in Louisiana)…’
“You can click here to read p. 14-22 of that Brief. We know, because they cited to it, that the Court read it and was impacted by the courageous women’s testimonies, which otherwise would not have been in the record. If you click on footnote 6 of the Brief on page 14, you can read all 425 testimonies of women’s late term abortions.
“We are monitoring cases across the country right now on their way to the Supreme Court, including cases that ban all abortions. We estimate our Center Against Forced Abortions saves 1,000 to 2,000 babies a year in the short-term and their mothers from devastation. The work of Operation Outcry continues to share the testimony of women injured by abortion to show the courts the third argument of The Moral Outcry Petition which counsels that abortion does not help women, abortion hurts them.”
“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32; GWT)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
Worship the Lord and let His compassion rise in your heart for women who have suffered from abortion.
Intercede for the 375 Women of Operation Outcry who suffered late term abortions and allowed thier testimonies to be shared with the Supreme Court as Amicus Curiae (Friend of the Court) parties in the case.
Ask the Lord to continue to grant them safety, protection, and boldness, as their case progresses through the Supreme Court system.
Pray that the voices of these women would be heard and reverberate throughout the land! Abortion causes harm to pre-born babies and to the women that carried them.
Intercede for the Center Against Forced Abortions, which saves 1,000 to 2,000 babies a year in the short-term and their mothers from devastation.
A prayer you can pray:
Dear Lord Jesus, give me Your heart of compassion for the women that have suffered physically and emotionally from undergoing abortions. They were lied to and it is time to set the national record straight. Hundreds of women have now come forward to tell the world that abortion is not safe for women, physically or psychologically. Besides the fact that our nation has legalized abortion, resulting in more than 61 million abortions, women have been harmed as well. These few hundred are representing perhaps thousands who would never come forward, but who live with the aftermath daily. They silently suffer physically, perhaps never able to have children, and emotionally from guilt and shame. Most of us are not able to imagine what they have seen and heard through the death process of abortion. It makes my heart break. Oh God, forgive this nation for Roe v Wade and similar cases. Let them know there is hope, healing, and the shalom of God waiting for them in You.
We pray for the Center Against Forced Abortions and other organizations like them that seek to help teens and women with options to abortion. Help the Church to educate ourselves on alternatives. We need to know what to do if we discover a friend or family member is pregnant and considering abortion. We have to get ready for the ending of abortion. We need to get alternatives, such as adoption agencies, up and running now. Again, Jesus, give us Your heart and Your mind and Your creative ideas. Amen.
Today’s decree:
The Supreme Court will see the scientific and psychological truth about abortion and will reverse Roe v Wade!
