Praying Out Corruption: Uprooting Corruption and Replanting “I first met Mrs. Allen Kagina in Uganda in 2004. She had just been asked by President Museveni to direct the Uganda Revenue Authority which at the time was considered to be the second most corrupt institution—public or private—in the nation. Taxes were being avoided. Corruption was rampant. The country was dependent on foreign aid to the tune of 46% of her budget. The number of URA employees was exorbitantly out of proportion. People would have to be dismissed. Guilty parties would have to be brought to justice. It would take a great deal of wisdom, courage and creative genius to revert the situation. Mrs. Kagina, together with her intercessor husband, Paul, employed prayer, dedicating the Agency to the Lord and raising up prayer from without and within. So powerful was the change in the spiritual climate, Allen related to us on one occasion that a prominent leader in the business community had recently called her personally, saying, ‘I need to come see you to repent for not having paid my taxes. Please calculate what I owe and please add the interest due.’” (Dave Thompson)1 “And Jesus said to him, ‘Today salvation has come to this house, because he, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.’” (Luke 19:9-10; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer1: With eyes of faith, visualize corruption being uprooted by the power and presence of God across our land. Let your faith arise! Pray for a visitation of the Holy Spirit and courage upon the people of faith who are working in environments compromised by corruption. Keep speaking peace and blessing over the “houses” of Government, Business and Industry, and Education, beginning in Washington, all the way to your community. A prayer you can pray: Father, cause faith to arise in me, so that I can believe that corruption in America can be uprooted by Your power and presence. Do for the U. S. what you did for Mrs. Allen Kagina in Uganda. I pray that you would visit Your people who are working in corrupt environments in business, and especially in government. Grant them courage and boldness to confront this darkness, Lord. We say, “Grace, grace, grace” to corruption in the mountains of Business, Education and Government. Deliver, Jesus, deliver! Work miracles on our behalf. Amen. Today’s decree: As we pray, God will deliver the arenas of influence in business, education and government form corruption, just like He delivered Uganda when Mrs. Kagina prayed. 1 Dave Thompson, Sr. Vice President, Harvest Evangelism.

Holy Spirit, Reveal Corruption In Luke 19:9 (see below), “the word ‘that’ is the key word, because it begs the question, ‘What was lost?’ When we look back to the Garden of Eden, we find there is a three-part answer. 1) Not only did man lose his intimate relationship with his Creator, but 2) intimacy in his relationship to his fellow man (or woman, in this case) was also lost, and one of their children murdered another. But beyond that, 3) the Garden itself—the “marketplace” of Adam’s day—was lost. Jesus was therefore forecasting in Luke 19:10 what His objectives were for what He was about to go through beginning in Luke 22: the redemption of everything that was lost.” God graciously revealed and made a way of deliverance from the corruption that man brought in through sin. (Dave Thompson)1 “Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord, ‘Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I will give to the poor, and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will give back four times as much.’ And Jesus said to him, ‘Today salvation has come to this house, because he, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.’” (Luke 19:8-9; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer1: Agree with Jesus that He came “to seek and to save [everything] that was lost—people, their homes and households, and their marketplace environments. Let faith arise that corruption can be revealed, combatted and eradicated by the power and presence of the Lord. Let your “Peace speaking” grow stronger and more fervent. Let compassion rise in you toward those who are stuck in their corruption. Cry out for the salvation of everyone and everything that was lost. A prayer you can pray: Father, we are so very thankful that You have provided salvation to us, reversing the curse of corruption that came in through Adam and Eve’s sin. Lord, this corruption affects everything from our personal lives to our relationships to the marketplace and into our government. We are asking, Holy Spirit, that You would expose and remove the corruption that afflicts us. We will open up our mouths in prayer and in truth, confronting corruption where we find it. We choose to forgive the corrupt. Give us Your compassion to pray for their deliverance. Help the Trump administration to root it out of our government. In Jesus’ name, amen. Today’s decree: The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost! 1 Dave Thompson, Sr. Vice President, Harvest Evangelism.

History Can Be Healed Even though legal provision was made for the realignment of the ages to God’s will, the work isn’t finished! He is taking humanity down a pre-decreed path of restoration (see Acts 3:21) toward the katartizo-ing* of all things. America’s history is a part of this. God declared that she would exist for His eternal purposes. And though He knew there would be dislocations and shameful seasons, He decreed healing in the form of revivals, abolitionists, and yes, even a Civil War—for we had to have that painful course correction to realign us. Through them all, He was healing and realigning history!1 “By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.” (Hebrews 11:3; KJV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Thank the Lord that He creates moments in history that cause all of society to line up with His Will! He can and does “course-correct” a nation. Ask God to realign the nation again and that we would repent for our sins, past and present. Pray that as a nation, we would once again go back to the place He ordained, where we serve others and honor Him. A prayer you can pray: Lord, thank you that You have a pre-determined plan and You are following it. When we get off course as a nation, You katartizo us right back into the plan. It may be painful and embarrassing at times, but when Your work of course correction is exactly what we need, the blessing will outweigh the pain. Thank you for forgiving us our sins. Katartizo us back into full alignment with Your plan once again, Lord. Amen. Today’s decree: Put us back on the course You created for America before the world began! *“Prepared” is the Greek word katartizo, which means “to put something into its proper position.” 1 Material taken from History Maker, by Will Ford and Dutch Sheets, Regal Books, ©2004.

Realigning History’s Dislocations “By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.” (Hebrews 11:3; KJV) “Prepared” is the Greek word katartizo, which means “to put something into its proper position.” It’s a word used to describe setting a broken bone or popping a dislocated joint back into place. It’s also the word for alignment. We know that God aligns and, when necessary, realigns the ages. However, He also realigns history’s dislocations. He heals the breaches. As the Great Physician, He adjusts misaligned humanity back into alignment and He snaps history’s dislocations back into place.1 Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Thank God that when we mess up His plan, He is able to snap it back into place and get us back on His track! Intercede for the United States, asking God to realign us as a nation, so that we line up once again with His plan and the purpose for which He established us. Worship Him, because He loves us more than He judges us and He is more than able to correct history. A prayer you can pray: God, You are just amazing! Why do we worry about anything? We are so thankful that You have chosen to allow us to partner with You in prayer to accomplish Your plans. However, when we mess things all up, You are able to snap things back into place, even our history, Father, and get things back in alignment with Your plan! Great Physician, realign America today! Thank You, Lord. Today’s decree: We declare that the breaches will be healed and history’s dislocations will be put back into place. 1 Material taken from History Maker, by Will Ford and Dutch Sheets, Regal Books, ©2004.

Identificational Repentance Everlasting God (Olam El) permanently forgives our sin when we repent. Because of the blood of Jesus, He remembers our sin no more! When we repent, it is as if we never sinned! Daniel showed us that we can take up a position of repentance for the sin of our nation. He will listen to the petition of His saints washed in His blood! “I prayed to the lord my God and confessed: ‘Oh Lord, you are a great and awesome God! You always fulfill your covenant and keep your promises of unfailing love to those who love you and obey your commands.’” (Dan. 9:4; NLT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Thank the Lord for saving you and permanently forgiving your sin. Acknowledge that He is willing to listen to you, His child washed in the blood of Jesus, when you present the sin of your nation to Him. Read the prayer from Daniel 9: 4-19, inserting your city, your state, and the United States of America as the location. A prayer you can pray: Dear Everlasting Lord, thank you so much that you have removed my sin from me as far as the east is from the west and you remember it no more! It feels so good to be completely forgiven and I desire that others might know this freedom, as well! Thank you that you hear my prayers on behalf of my nation. (Read the prayer from Daniel 9:4-19 to the Lord inserting your city, state and the United States of America as the location.) Amen. Today’s decree: I decree that God has forgiven me completely from my sin and that He hears my intercession on behalf of my city, state and nation today!

National General Strike Planned There is a National General Strike1 planned today. An immigrant strike took place yesterday. President Trump has said that he didn’t divide this country and he is correct. This country has grown more and more divided over the last few years, and the media are currently inflaming the divides that exist. This strike is one of a series of strikes planned throughout the year, which grew out of the Women’s March on Washington, held the day after the Inauguration. These are not healthy for this nation now or in the future. “The righteous hate what is false, but the wicked make themselves a stench and bring shame on themselves.” (Proverbs 13:5; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray that these protests remain peaceful, if they are held at all. The national weather report is looking very challenging in many parts of the country today. Pray that interest in these protests would wane. Call forth the government strategies, that once put in place, will show that the government is not hateful nor to be feared. Pray that this revelation would defuse much of the anger and fear. The media is taking advantage of the anger and fear some Americans are feeling. Ask God that the American public would call them into accountability. A prayer you can pray: Father, we desire that this upheaval in our nation would calm down. Individuals are being pulled into protests that are well-organized by leadership that is using them as pawns, They could be hurt physically and financially by participating in them. We pray for safety for all involved. Our government is neither hate-filled or looking to harm anyone. The media is causing people to think so. God, we ask You to call them into account for what they are doing! Defuse the angst and grant us grace and unity and peace as a nation, Lord. In Jesus Name, amen. Today’s decree: God will open up the eyes of this nation’s citizens, and they will begin to see that this government is not against them, but cares about them and their family’s future here. 1 You can read more about the General Strike on their Facebook page.

Replacing a Supreme Court Justice Many Believers are unaware of the process by which a Supreme Court Justice is replaced. A President gets to appoint an individual, usually a judge in another federal court, for an open seat on the Supreme Court. A Senate committee then meets with this individual to ask them questions regarding their fitness for this position. If they like what they hear, they refer them to a confirmation vote of the entire Senate. The Senate’s approval means they are appointed as a Justice for the rest of their lives. This is a very important decision! “Show me a righteous ruler and I will show you a happy people. Show me a wicked ruler and I will show you a miserable people.” (Proverbs 29:2; GNT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray that the individual Neil Gorsuch is will be fully revealed through the Senate confirmation process. Ask God to provide direction to the nation’s leadership in this matter. Pray that the Senate Confirmation Committee will have wisdom from above in their investigation process. A prayer you can pray: Father, the appointment of a Supreme Court Justice who will sit on the court for the rest of their lives is a very serious matter, indeed. We are asking You to be the One in control of this process, Lord. We say that the placement is the Lord’s. You know the impact better than we do of any appointment that’s made. Give the Senate great wisdom in their questioning to reveal the true motive of those appointed, so that the people of this nation do not suffer under unrighteous judgement. In the Name of Jesus, Amen. Today’s decree: This battle for the Supreme Court of the United States is the Lord’s and the Court belongs to no man!

Recapturing America’s Destiny It is now time to recapture America’s destiny. The greatest awakening in all of history is coming soon, and we must remain diligent to pray into America’s purpose of reaping this great harvest. While at the presidential inaugural celebration in Washington D.C., it became clear to me that President Trump’s victory was to reposition America financially and governmentally for the re-capturing of this destiny. The presidential election was not about a man, but a nation’s destiny. Ezekiel 22:30 NASB says, “I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land…” It’s time that we heed heaven’s call and pray for our new leader. It is imperative that we, the church of America, do not regress into prayerlessness. Indeed, we need the greatest prayer movement in the history of this nation to spring forth NOW. The Ekklesia (Church), correctly defined as “the legislating government of God on the earth,” must now arise in power and authority. Our best days are ahead, not behind us. “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.” (Ephesians 1:17; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray that God gives our president wisdom and revelation, according to Ephesians 1:17. Pray that he maintains a freedom from the political spirit that has ruled our nation, and he possesses a fear of the Lord. Pray that he maintains a spirit of boldness, and that fear of man stays off him. Pray that wise men and women, who also are free from fear and the political spirit, surround President Trump. A prayer you can pray: Father, grant President Trump the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. As he gets to know You and Your Word better and better, may He receive wisdom for many other things. It appears You have given him an anointing to defeat the political spirit that has run rampant in the nation! Help him maintain that spirit of boldness and keep him free from the fear of man. Surround him, also, with men and women of like heart and like mind. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Today’s decree: Let the legislating government of God in the earth, the Ekklesia, rise in the power and the authority and the fear of the Lord!

A Miraculous Birth and Hopeful Future “If we believe that the birth of this nation was a miracle, if we believe that our Constitution is the most Christian document of its kind in the history of mankind, if we believe that our Constitution correctly understands God’s blueprint for government while correctly weighing the sinful nature of man, then I would argue that we should pray that our government would be reformed to our Creator’s intent. To take it a step further, many of our Founding Fathers were raised during the greatest revival in our nation’s history, The First Great Awakening, when they formed their biblical worldviews Revival preceded the miracle of our nation. Prayer preceded this revival. We must pray for the reformation of our government.” (Dave Kubal)1 “He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.” (Isaiah 33:6: NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray that our government would legislate with the Fear of the Lord (Isaiah 33:6).1 Intercede that our government would be filled with capable leaders (Exodus 18:21).1 Ask that our governmental leaders would put their hope in the Lord (Psalm 33:18).1 Pray that God would build a biblical worldview into our government leaders of tomorrow and that they would have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16).1 A prayer you can pray: Father, please give us capable government leaders who have the fear of the Lord on them when they consider and propose legislation. Lord, may they put their hope in You! We know You are preparing the legislators of tomorrow. You are raising them up in the fear and admonition of the Lord. You are seeing that the course of their life is set in the right direction. Give them the mind of Christ and a biblical foundation and worldview. We are looking forward to what the nation’s future looks like. Thank You, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: National reformation will flow from sustained and passionate intercession! 1 Learn more about Dave Kubal here.

Keep It In Context “The way Evangelical Christians interpret the Bible is very similar. Seminarians are taught not to take Scriptures out of context, but to discern what the author intended to communicate and what the original audience understood the message to be. This is absolutely critical; otherwise any culture or speaker with charisma could twist the Word of God to their own meaning.” (Dave Kubal)1 “I will pour out my vengeance on all the nations that refuse to obey me.” (Micah 5:15; NLT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Intercede for our government leaders would understand they are held accountable by God. Pray that lawmakers and those in the judicial branch would interpret the Constitution in the context of which it was written. Pray that the “audience”, the people of the United States, would demand that this be the case. Command that any twisting of the Constitution for self-seeking would stop. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we pray that our government leaders would take very seriously the offices they were elected to. Help them understand that Your Word says they have been placed in office by You and that You expect them to act in ways that protect the nation and the foundations of the government, according to Your design. We ask that our lawmakers and judges would interpret the Constitution in the context it was written in and not see it as simply a historical document. Make its foundation firm. We decree that the twisting of the words of the U. S. Constitution would cease! In Jesus’ name. Amen. Today’s decree: We decree that this nation will obey the Lord and His plan and His ways for this country He designed. 1 Learn more about Dave Kubal here.

Originist or Revisionist? Over the past few decades, we have seen much “overreach” of power as branches of our government attempt to meddle in areas they shouldn’t. This is where we need to understand what an “originist” is. From a constitutional standpoint, an originist is a person who believes that the Constitution should be interpreted with the views of the original authors. Simply put, our Constitution should be interpreted as our Founding Fathers viewed the issues. It is not to be reinterpreted according to the whims of the prevailing culture. In other words, the Constitution is not meant to be a “living document.” (Dave Kubal)1 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:23-24; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Intercede that our government leaders would understand the fallen nature of man and how that influences legislation. Ask the Father to bless the people of the United States with an understanding of our founding documents and the importance of them, as written. Pray for a supernatural curiosity to arise about them. Pray that teachers would teach about them at every level of education. Pray that media would highlight them. Pray that the Constitution would be honored by all three branches of the government, but especially by the judiciary. A prayer you can pray: Father, it is the season for our government leaders to understand the true nature of man—as fallen and in need of a Savior. Only then can legislation be written that is able to set a standard that lines up with the God’s Word and our Constitution. Otherwise, the tendency will be to write, judge and execute laws that fluctuate with the moral climate of the times. Cause a supernatural curiosity about our founding documents, especially the Constitution of the United States, to rise up in the hearts of our citizens. In schools, in media and in other venues, may they come to the forefront and be honored as they are written. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Today’s decree: God is highlighting the Constitution and will raise up those who will honor it and establish it in future legislation. Learn more about Dave Kubal here.

Foundation of Our Government “God did an amazing thing when He birthed this nation. He put in the heart of our Founding Fathers the desire to form a nation based upon the realization that it is God who makes laws—man only legislates them. God is the one who gives rights to individuals, and those rights include life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness And all of this is discoverable because it is God—and Nature’s God—who makes these aspects recognizable to all. At the same time, our Founding Fathers perfectly understood that man is flawed and that power is intoxicating. Their experience with the Throne of England and its abuses was fresh in their minds and caused them to structure the new government based upon Scripture (Isaiah 33:22) to create a bi-cameral Congress with two branches as well as the three branches of the federal government: Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. The Legislative branch creates laws, the Executive branch executes the laws, and the Judicial branch enforces the laws. The separation of powers, with the proper balance, is critical to a government led by fallen man. This mix of theology and practicality has produced the longest standing Constitution in the history of mankind!” (Dave Kubal)1 “Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you return to the LORD with all your heart, remove the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you and direct your hearts to the LORD and serve Him alone; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.” (1 Samuel 7:3; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray that our government leaders would embrace a biblical structure. Ask the Lord to forgive our nation for allowing the worship of foreign gods and foreign religious practices. Now, thank Him that He has turned this for good in that this nation has become a mission field for those from other nations coming to our prosperous nation founded on Christian principles. Thank the Lord for our long-standing Constitution and government. A prayer you can pray: Father, we pray that our government leaders would truly understand the biblical structure our nation was founded on. We pray it would be fully embraced, honored and adhered to. We ask that we allowed a mixture of other religions, including the idolatrous, to come into this nation. We thank You that You turned this for good and that many from other nations come to these shores, where we can introduce them to Jesus. They come for opportunity to prosper, but here they can find the One that can prosper them. We thank You for giving our founders wisdom to develop a nation based on a Constitution of biblical standards. Amen. Today’s decree: “The LORD is our judge. The LORD is our lawgiver. The LORD is our king. The LORD is our savior.” (Isaiah 3:22; GWT) Read more about Dave Kubal and “Intercessors for America” here.
