The Light of the World Jesus Christ is the Light of the World. He was there when the world was created, but the World could not see who He was when He arrived to light up the way to the Father. But, we have seen Him! We are filled with His light! His light is shining into the darkness, bringing hope and bringing life. Watch how brightly America will shine when all those of us who truly know Him let His light shine through us this Christmas! “The one who is the true Light arrived to shine on everyone coming into the world. But although he made the world, the world didn’t recognize him when he came. Even in his own land and among his own people, the Jews, he was not accepted. Only a few would welcome and receive him. But to all who received him, he gave the right to become children of God. All they needed to do was to trust him to save them. All those who believe this are reborn!—not a physical rebirth resulting from human passion or plan—but from the will of God. And Christ became a human being and lived here on earth among us and was full of loving forgiveness and truth. And some of us have seen his glory—the glory of the only Son of the heavenly Father!” (John 1:9-14; TLB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: It is a day to exalt the Light of Lights, Jesus! Worship Him for a while. Thank Him for filling you with the light, even as He is the Light. Ask Him to shine brightly through you into this dark nation. Be aware everywhere you go today that you are bringing His light into that place and those circumstances. Let Holy Spirit show you how to pray as you go. Ask the Lord to give true hope to wherever there is hopelessness in your area. Ask Him to flood the area with His light and love, and ask Him to make Himself seen! A prayer you can pray: Jesus, I worship You! Light of the world, I exalt Your holy name! (Use your own words and songs to worship Him for a while.) I thank You for filling me with Your light, even as You are the Light! Shine into the dark world around me. Shine through me into these dark areas (name some of them as Holy Spirit shows you what is around you.) Jesus, as I go about my day today, make me acutely aware of where Your light is needed. Holy Spirit, highlight the darkness in my corner of America, which I so often miss. Show me how to release Your light in those places, so Jesus might be seen and might give hope! Amen! Today’s decree: We will let His light shine through us lighting bright our nation!

God With Us Jesus was God’s gift given to us and He lived among us. He was born in humble circumstances to common parents. He experienced “the human condition” all around him and saw suffering, hunger, grief, greed, violence and other effects of sin on mankind. He brought glory, “God’s manifest presence”, into the mix. We carry that glory now. “The Word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us. We saw his glory, the glory which he received as the Father’s only Son.” (John 1:14; GNT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Thank the Father for sending Jesus to not just save us, but to live among us, so that we can know that He experienced what our lives may be like. Thank Him that Jesus carried God’s glory and brought His Presence, so that we could see God in the middle of our earthly condition. Ask the Lord to give you a revelation of this, then go and be aware that you are carrying His Presence into your everyday experiences this holiday season. A prayer you can pray: Dear Lord, I am thankful that Jesus walked around on earth as a human being, but filled with your glory, your Manifest Presence. Help me to understand that since I am saved, I carry the Presence of God also, everywhere that I go. I want those I encounter this holiday season to see your glory through my life. Change our nation as Your people walk around filled with Your Holy Spirit, bringing love and light wherever we go! Amen. Today’s decree: I decree that I am a carrier of God’s glory and His Presence that the world might see Him wherever I go.

Wisdom and Discernment Solomon asked the Lord for wisdom. He could have asked him for many things—anything. He chose to ask for wisdom. This pleased the Lord and He gave Solomon many other things that he could have asked for. Solomon took the limitations off himself when he asked for the wisdom of God. Imagine the vastness of this wisdom. Imagine the depth of this wisdom. Imagine how one could lead if endowed with the wisdom of God! “The Lord was pleased with his reply and was glad that Solomon had asked for wisdom. So he replied, ‘Because you have asked for wisdom in governing my people and haven’t asked for a long life, or riches for yourself, or the defeat of your enemies—yes, I’ll give you what you asked for! I will give you a wiser mind than anyone else has ever had or ever will have! And I will also give you what you didn’t ask for—riches and honor! And no one in all the world will be as rich and famous as you for the rest of your life! And I will give you a long life if you follow me and obey my laws as your father David did.’” (1 Kings 3:10-14; TLB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Find scriptures on the wisdom of God and pray them into your own life, asking God to give you His wisdom. Intercede for our nation’s new leadership, especially for our President-elect Trump, and pray they would seek God for His wisdom, knowing that they cannot adequately govern without it. Repent for doing things in your own power, out of your own thoughts and mindset, and ask Him to change your heart, thoughts and life as He exchanges your limitations with His unlimited wisdom. A prayer you can pray: Father, I am encouraged when I think about how Solomon’s life changed when he asked You for wisdom, instead of other things he could have asked for. I will go to Your Word now and pray scriptures about Your wisdom over my life. Please grant me Your wisdom. Please grant this wisdom to our incoming government leaders. They will need to think differently. They will be limited, even with all the brilliance they have, unless You give them Your wisdom. They will need all that You can give them. Please forgive all of us for doing so much in our own strength, without seeking You, without asking You how and when. Remove our limitations, as You fill us with Your wisdom, Lord. Thank You, Jesus! Amen. Today’s decree: Our nation will move forward only as we reach out and ask and receive the gift of the unlimited wisdom of God!

Carried on the Grace of God It is by grace that we have been saved. It is by grace that we do anything in Christ. It is by grace that we are moving forward as a nation. There is a holy boldness falling on the Church, carried on the grace of God. It is a boldness to speak out. It is trampling the political spirit under our feet. The Ekklesia is rising up in greater and greater grace and boldness. The sleeping Bride has awakened. Now, watch what God will do! “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1-2; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Rejoice in your salvation! Ask God out loud to extend the grace of the salvation to everyone you know who need to know Him. Get up and see yourself trampling on the political spirit. He is under your feet. Don’t bow to it anymore! Not ever again! Call the Bride to be fully awake and to stay awake! We have much to do and a lot to boast about in the hope of the glory of God expressed in our nation. A prayer you can pray: Father, I rejoice in the salvation You have given me by Your grace! I pray that you would extend a grace for salvation to (name those you know who need to be saved.) Lord, that political spirit is fallen and the Church is going to trample it all the way down, even as we worship You and life You up high over this nation! May we get our mouths open and our hearts aligned with You and extend grace to others until we have a Great Awakening in America! In Jesus name. Amen. Today’s decree: We decree that there is a grace for the Bride to be bold in America now!

Electoral College Vote is TODAY You may have heard that there is quite a controversy over the Electoral College vote this year. The Electoral College system guarantees that smaller states and more rural areas have as much a say in an election as the larger states do. The number of electoral votes from any state are equal to the number of U. S. Senators and Representatives from that state. Some individuals serving as Electorals in their states this year are threatening not to cast their vote the way their state voted. You can learn more about the Electoral College here. “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.” (Proverbs 11:3; ESV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray that any faithless electors will not be able to change the will of the states who have voted and its electorate and, thus, change the outcome of the election. Interceded that the Electoral College will stay intact and allow each of the 50 states a voice in who represents them as president and vice-president. Ask the Lord for future Electoral College members to be men and women of prayer who are knowledgeable and experienced in governmental matters. Take authority over any anarchy, bribery, and corruption in the Electoral College system. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we come to You today to intercede for our Electoral College system. The Electoral members will be meeting in their states today and we understand that some have said they have no plans to vote in representation of their state’s vote. We pray that the Electoral College system and the election outcome will be secure, Lord. We ask for integrity in our nation’s Electorals today and in the future. Give us men and women who are knowledgable in government matters and understand how important it is that they follow the Constitutional design. We take authority over any anarchy, bribery or corruption in our Electoral College system and thank You in advance for a peaceful outcome today. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Today’s decree: We decree that the 2016 election results are secure and that the Electoral College members will truly vote as their state’s election results dictate.

Jesus, Lord At His Birth** Silent night, Holy night All is calm, all is bright Round yon virgin, mother and child Holy infant, tender and mild Sleep in heavenly peace, Sleep in heavenly peace. Silent night, Holy night Son of God, love’s pure light Radiant beams from thy holy face With the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord at thy birth Jesus, Lord at thy birth. Silent night, Holy night Shepherds quake, at the sight Glories stream from heaven above Heavenly, hosts sing Hallelujah. Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born. (Reverend Joseph Mohr and Franz Gruber; public domain) “But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” (Luke 2:10-12; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray the song “Silent Night” slowly back to the Lord letting the words of the verses really sink in. If worship rises up inside you, slow down and speak it out, but try not to sing the song. Now, sing the song slowly to the Lord expressing your love and gratefulness to Him. If you have been feeling fearful lately, let fear fall away. Ask Lord Jesus to give you His joy! He was the great Reconciler, anointed to reconcile men to God. People are in need of being reconciled to God and one another in this nation now. Ask the Anointed One to make you a reconciler of men, as well. A prayer you can pray: Father, we are so thankful that You gave us Your Son, Jesus! We are so thankful, Lord Jesus, that You agreed to come to us, starting as a little baby. We honor You with this song (read the words of Silent Night to Him, letting the words be very real and right from your heart. Then, sing it to Him.) Lord, let Your love deliver me from fear. Exchange it for Your Joy! Anoint me to reconcile men to You. Make me a reconciler of men to God, even as You are, Jesus. Raise up a mighty army of Believers as Reconcilers, Holy Spirit! Amen and amen! Today’s decree: The Church will be filled with love for Lord Jesus and be great reconcilers of men to God in this day in America! **NOTE: Dutch Sheets Ministries recognizes that Jesus was likely born at Passover in the Spring. However, His birth is celebrated worldwide and this is a great time to show forth the love and light of Christ to your family and neighbors.

Glorious Power “When iniquity was found in the rebel cherub, My glory surged throughout the Heavens,” says the Lord, “and demonstrably real authority, might, dominion, and power was revealed at superior levels, branding lucifer and his fallen ones as forever losers. I will now surge in greater glory in your times – through My remnant Church. My power will now surge at greater and much greater levels, and once again the forever loser will be defeated by My glorious power.” (Tim Sheets)1 “Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11; ESV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Jesus Christ is the name above every other name. Look up the names of Jesus and glorify His Great Name! Defeated foes often react just like lucifer did – as sore losers. Intercede for the individuals in this nation that the enemy is trying to turn into sore losers following the recent elections. Pray for grace for them to repent. Intercede with passion for the power of God to now flow at greater and greater levels in America. A prayer you can pray: Jesus, Your Name is great! Great I Am, Lamb of God, Bread of Life, Great High Priest, Faithful and True! I could go on and on in worship of You! You have defeated the enemy and he is a very sore loser! He is trying to take many in American down with him. Jesus, provide a grace for repentance to get up and move forward. Help them to see that Your hand is in this new thing happening in the United States. I pray, Lord, that You would pour out your power in greater and greater glory flows across the nation, until every eye sees You. Amen. Today’s decree: Lucifer is falling and Jesus Christ is being powerfully glorified across America in this day! Learn more about Tim Sheets here.

Strategic Time for Mercy Hebrews 4:16 tells us where we find mercy: “Let us come boldly to the throne of grace, to obtain MERCY and find grace to help in time of need.” The word “time” in this verse is the Greek word kairos which means “strategic or opportune time,” not chronological time. We must, at this strategic and opportune time in history, continue to cry out for mercy. We must also pray for our leaders, especially Mr. Trump, who is at best a baby Christian. We must ask for wisdom, revelation, humility, and boldness. Only an appropriate blend of these spiritual gifts and virtues will bring him success. “Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.” (1 Peter 4:8; NLT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Come boldly to the throne of grace and worship. Boldly ask for what this nation needs right now—mercy. Intercede for President-elect Trump. Ask the Lord to grant him great grace to know how to navigate through the next few months, especially now through April. Ask God to give you a deeper Christian love for Donald Trump, and ask Him to give Mr. Trump wisdom, revelation, humility and boldness. A prayer you can pray: Father, we come boldly to Your throne of grace and worship You. You are worthy of all of our worship. We pray for President-elect Trump and ask that You provide all the grace he needs to move the nation forward through the next few months. He needs much mercy and grace right now. Extend wisdom, revelation, humility and boldness to him in the exact right measure, Jesus. Give me the kind of Christian love for him that I will need to commit to pray regularly for him. Amen. Today’s decree: Our cry for mercy for our nation will move the heart of God.

Are You Faithful in Prayer? Mercy is undeserved kindness. In scripture it is linked to covenant—God’s covenantal faithfulness and kindness. We are told that His mercies are new each morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), and they also triumph over judgment (James 2:13). Merry Christmas, America, you just experienced incredible mercy! The question now becomes, “Will we waste this precious gift, or “spend” it wisely? The tendency of the Church is to pray (sometimes fervently) during an election, then return to our “prayer-less” ways afterwards. A Christian Senator once called me out on this, saying, “The Church prays us into office, then we’re on our own!” He actually went on to say, “I can tell when the Church is praying and when it isn’t.” “The faithful love of the Lord never ends. His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” (Lamentations 3:22-23; NLT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Repent if you know you have been one that stops praying with fervency when it appears breakthrough has come and things are “all right”. Repent if you have only prayed for governing leaders that you agree with. Every state has 2 Senators. Find them here and pray for them today. There is a small box on the upper right where you choose your state and you will see your two Senators. Click on their names to learn more about each of them and find lots of things to pray about. Each state has many Representatives. Find yours here and pray for them. There is a small box on the upper right under “Find Your Representative” where you can enter your zip code to find your Representative. You will see the cities they represent. Click on their name on the left and you will go to their House.gov page. Here you can find the committees they serve on and any issues they are working to resolve. Pray for them. Consider signing up for your Senators’ and Representative’s newsletters, so you stay informed and know exactly how to pray on a regular basis. A prayer you can pray: Father, forgive me for praying with passion for my nation and the elections when we get to that season, but forgetting about praying for the ones elected! Forgive me when I have not been able to find Your heart and direction to pray for those that represent me in Washington and locally. Remind me to pray for them, Lord, even when I do not agree with them. They need the prayers of the Church, and who knows if they might just change their minds about some things. Help me learn about them, learn what they are working on, and care about them, so that I can pray regularly for them. Thank you, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: May my elected officials know that I am praying for them on a regular basis!

What God is Looking For Is this what we long for in America – “for the Lord to demonstrate His strong arm on our behalf? For a mighty move of God’s Spirit to sweep through our land, revive the church and transform this nation? The Lord has shown us the way to achieve that. It begins by fully surrendering our hearts to Him.”1 “For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the whole earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” (2 Chronicles 16:9a; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ask the Lord to examine your heart and show you if it is completely His. Let Him show you where your heart is divided, perhaps wanting something He knows will derail your faith or cause you to pray in opposition to His perfect will. Pledge your heart to Him and let Him show you how to pray whole-heartedly for a mighty move of God’s Spirit in our nation. A prayer you can pray: Dear Lord, I desire that my heart would be completely yours! I want my heart to be one that you are looking for! Show me where my heart is divided between You and passions of my own that sometimes squeeze You out. Give me the words to pray to create a move of your Spirit through our land! Amen. Today’s decree: I decree that the Lord is able to make my heart wholly His and to make me an instrument of intercession for a sweeping move of His Spirit in America! 1 Dutch Sheets. “The Prayer God Can’t Resist”.
