Retracing the Covenant – Philadelphia In Philadelphia, we prayed at the Liberty Bell; Carpenters Hall, where the first Continental Congress met; Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was decreed and the second Continental Congress met; and at the original Supreme Court. In these birth places, we reconnected to the root of righteous government and true justice. We also went to Penn Treaty Park where William Penn entered into covenant with Native Americans, a covenant that was never broken, and established the pattern for racial harmony and covenantal faithfulness in our land. This was one of the highlights of our journey, and where we felt that we fully tapped into God’s mercy over America. “He said, ‘O Lord, the God of Israel, there is no god like You in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant and showing lovingkindness to Your servants who walk with You with all their hearts.’” (2 Chronicles 6:14; KJV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Declare 2 Chronicles 6:14 back to the Lord as a prayer of Thanksgiving. Thank the Lord for preserving the true history of this nation, and that men sought Him and established our government out of relationship with Him. Pray for President-elect Donald Trump and Vice-President-elect Mike Pence and other new national leaders. Pray protection over them. Pray that they will humble themselves and seek God for direction on how to turn back some of the decisions of the last few years that are not pleasing to God. Ask the Lord to heal racial divides in America, so that we can all move forward together as one. We need the mantle of William Penn to fall on this nation and especially on the Church. A prayer you can pray: Lord, God of Israel, there is no god like You in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant and showing kindness to Your servants who walk with You with all their hearts. We thank You that You keep the covenants You make and You are keeping Your side of the covenants we made with You in our early years as a nation. This gives us so much hope for the future of the United States! We thank You that You have granted us mercy and a second chance to honor You as a nation. Grace President-elect Donald Trump and Vice-President-elect Mike Pence and other new national leaders with an ability to humble themselves, pray and seek Your face for direction before taking action. Give them wisdom and Your strategies to turn back the enemy at the gate and reverse some of the ungodly legislation that we have recently instituted. And, please work a miracle and heal the racial divide in America. We want to be one, even as You are One—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen. Today’s decree: The covenants made, government formed and interracial relationships developed at the foundation of our nation will be our future when we humble ourselves and pray, as God is upholding His side of the covenant eternally!

Retracing the Covenant – Boston In Boston, we reconnected to justice, liberty, and righteous resistance to tyranny. At Faneuil Hall, referred to as “the cradle of liberty,” where some of the most stirring orations calling for freedom were declared, we prayed and agreed with their petitions and decrees. “The edifice was home to merchants, fishermen, and meat and produce sellers, and provided a platform for the country’s most famous orators. It is where colonists first protested the Sugar Act in 1764 and established the doctrine of ‘no taxation without representation.’ Firebrand Samuel Adams rallied the citizens of Boston to the cause of independence from Great Britain in the hallowed Hall, and George Washington toasted the nation there on its first birthday.”1 One could almost feel their passion in this historic place. “But Peter and the apostles answered, ‘We must obey God rather than men.’” (Acts 5:29; ESV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: To have true liberty, we must be free from tyranny. Our current administration has not been tyrannical by any means, but the laws being passed are so far from pleasing to God they make us feel like we are under tyranny at times. Decree Acts 5:29. Read about Daniel (Daniel 6) and his friends (Daniel 3), as well as Esther (Esther 4-7). As the Lord for revelation and let the Word sink in deep. This is how we should act when governing authorities are asking us to violate the Word and Will of God. Read Romans 13:1-7. This is how we should live when good governance is in place. We should pray for those authority and live according to the law of the land. Thank the Lord that we are moving from darkness to light in our nation right now. Commit to pray for those in authority on a regular basis, so they can get govern well. A prayer you can pray: Father, we desire freedom from godless laws and statutes in our land. We want to live under laws that line up with Your Word and Your plan for America. We decree, “We must obey God rather than man!” Therefore, Lord, let our new governing authorities make and enforce laws that are pleasing to You. As we review the stories from Daniel and Esther, may we be reminded of the reasons our forefathers rejected the tyranny of King George. Let us learn from their struggle. As we read Romans 13:1-7, remind us that to keep from living under an oppressive government, we must pray diligently for our governing leaders. Grant us a grace to do so with all fervency, Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen. Today’s decree: We will pray for our leaders, but always remember, we must obey God rather than men and we will have no King, but Jesus!

Healing History From the “Retracing the Covenant Tour”: At Jamestown in 1620, family, church (Ekklesia) and government began to be established in America. We tapped into these covenantal roots and decreed that these foundational institutions of society would come back into biblical alignment. From there, we flew to Plymouth, the landing site of the Mayflower. Here, the Mayflower Compact was written, the first governing document of the colonists, which again stated our purpose with the phrase, “Having undertaken for the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith…” At this amazing place, we tapped into the roots of righteous government, prayer, evangelism and generational synergy. The “First Nations” members of our team were very instrumental in all of our stops, but especially in these first few, as we felt we were not only retracing history, but healing it. “But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.” (1 Timothy 6:11; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ask the Lord for the faith today to intercede for the healing of America’s history. Where there was hope in the beginning for a future nation that honored Christ above all, remind the Lord of that moment in history. Repent for the generations that have lived since who rejected God and ask the Lord to visit us again. Where government was once righteous, as governing leaders relied on God and His Word to lead them, identificationally repent for leaders today who refuse to seek Him. Ask the Lord to give our current leaders hearts that humbly turn to Him for guidance and direction. Ask the Lord to sustain the recent outflow of unified prayer from the Ekklesia! May it result in a renewed nation and a fresh outpouring of evangelism and revival! A prayer you can pray: Oh God, grant me faith today to pray for the healing of America’s history. Our country was founded on a covenant between those early settlers and You. They knew You sent them here with a Sovereign purpose. Forgive us and especially our government leaders down through the years, when we have rejected Your guidance and direction. We need You to visit our leaders again. Soften their hearts and grant them grace to humbly seek Your wise leadership and renew our nation’s covenant with You. Let the Ekklesia continue in prayer and intercession until we have a nation that honors You! Thank You, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: We want to be those that intercede for the healing of America’s covenant with God!

A Day for Thanksgiving “Much time has passed since the first colonists came to rocky shores and dark forests of an unknown continent, much time since President Washington led a young people into the experience of nationhood, much time since President Lincoln saw the American nation through the ordeal of fraternal war–and in these years our population, our plenty and our power have all grown apace. Today we are a nation of nearly two hundred million souls, stretching from coast to coast, on into the Pacific and north toward the Arctic, a nation enjoying the fruits of an ever-expanding agriculture and industry and achieving standards of living unknown in previous history. We give our humble thanks for this. Yet, as our power has grown, so has our peril. Today we give our thanks, most of all, for the ideals of honor and faith we inherit from our forefathers–for the decency of purpose, steadfastness of resolve and strength of will, for the courage and the humility, which they possessed and which we must seek every day to emulate. As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them. Let us therefore proclaim our gratitude to Providence for manifold blessings–let us be humbly thankful for inherited ideals–and let us resolve to share those blessings and those ideals with our fellow human beings throughout the world.” (President Robert F. Kennedy, Thanksgiving Day Proclamation, 1963 “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” (2 Corinthians 9:11; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Thank the Lord for our history as recounted by President Kennedy. Let Holy Spirit help you feel the significance of those moments in history. Thank Him for blessing America with abundance—of people, of resources, with all we need to have an abundant life. Ask the Lord to give the Church creative ideas on how to make these blessings accessible to all. Thank the Lord for the ideals of honor, faith, steadfastness, resolve, strength of will, courage, humility and decency of purpose that are hallmarks of this nation. Pray we can fully return to these ideals. We will need a move of God. Reach out to Him for it! Pray for the lost, the downhearted, the lonely, the poor and the oppressed today. If you can do something practical to help another, go do it today. A prayer you can pray: Thank you, Lord, thank you! May we give thanks today for this wonderful nation we have inherited. Whether born here or immigrated, we are thankful that You established this nation and You preserve this nation and we are thankful to be a part of it. Thank You for the resources we have, the standard of living and the freedom. Thank You that we are known as a faith-filled people of honor, steadfastness and resolve to do the right thing. Lord, we need a move of God to change the hearts of men if we are to continue as the great nation You have made us. We pray for those who are troubled, lonely and hurting today. Help us to meet some of their needs, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Today’s decree: We will be a thankful people, as we have been blessed with more than any other nation on the earth because of Him!

Thankful for a Firm Foundation “I am calling you to a retracing…for seven days you will retrace where My covenant has been established in this land. From that I am determined to bring My voice back to be heard in this land again…Take a team and retrace…Decree that My voice will be heard again in this land.” In fulfillment of this prophetic word to me through Chuck Pierce, I recently convened a team of 13 (including myself) and embarked on this “retracing” prayer tour – 7 cities in 7 days. We began at Cape Henry, where Robert Hunt and company landed in 1607 and planted a cross on the beach. “From these shores the gospel shall go forth, to not only this new world, but the entire world,” Hunt declared, prophesying the destiny of America. We re-staked claim to this destiny and partook of communion, the covenant meal, as we did at every stop. “The LORD said to his people: ‘You are standing at the crossroads. So consider your path. Ask where the old, reliable paths are. Ask where the path is that leads to blessing and follow it. If you do, you will find rest for your souls.’ But they said, ‘We will not follow it!’” (Jeremiah 6:16; NET) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: God sent His men and women to America’s shores long before it was a nation. They came to escape religious persecution, to spread the Gospel and to expand His Kingdom. Thank the Lord for the brave souls that came before us. Thank the Lord that He established this nation to honor Him! Stop and think about that for a minute. Repent for how far from God’s ideals this nation has fallen. Ask Him to help us find those ancient paths and walk in them once again. A prayer you can pray: Lord, I thank You for the men and women who braved so much to come to our shores with a vision from You to expand Your Kingdom in this new world! Wow! Give me a minute to think about that. Let the revelation of that reality lead me to worship You! Our nation has fallen far from that vision.  Please forgive us, Lord. Thank You for granting us mercy—another chance to get things right! Get us back on Your path for America and let us fulfill Your heart’s desire in our generation! In Jesus’ name, we say amen. Today’s decree: We will find the ancient paths—the sure foundation of our nation—and follow them!

Thankful for Freedom “We live in a time of conflict – external and internal – when we sometimes concentrate too much on what divides us. We in the United States should be…thankful for the freedom and religious tolerance we enjoy. Freedom does not come without a price. We may sometimes take for granted the many liberties we enjoy in America, but they have all been earned through the ultimate sacrifice paid by so many of the members of our armed forces.” (Congressman Charlie Dent, PA) “Give thanks to the Lord Almighty, for the Lord is good; his love endures forever. ‘For I will restore the fortunes of the land, as they were before,’ says the Lord.” (Jeremiah 33:11b; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Intercede over the division in America. Many want things to be their way or the highway, but this is not the American way. God created this nation to be welcoming to all—a welcoming place of safety where Christ’s love could be found. Pray that the Lord would use this new governmental shift in America to reinforce our religious freedom. Pray that churches and Christian ministries would be free to say what they need to say from pulpits. Pray that children can pray and read their Bibles in school without harassment. Pray that school sports teams can pray before games, Pray that Bible Clubs are welcome in schools and Bible studies in workplaces. Pray that military chaplains can pray in the name of Jesus and openly introduce members of the military to Christ. Ask the Lord to bless this nation again in profound ways, as we thank Him and honor Him in the United States once again. A prayer you can pray: Father, we agree with Charlie Dent that this nation has become more divided than we have ever seen in our lifetime. Demonic forces are borrowing some Americans, especially our youth, to use them to shut Christians up, and shut us down. Please restore our religious freedom fully, then help us not to waste the freedom that we have to share the gospel of your love with others. We pray over the list of Christian freedoms above. Restore, Lord, restore! In Jesus’ name, amen. Today’s decree: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free!” (Galatians 5:1; NIV) Learn more about Charlie Dent here.

Thankful for Family Family is the bedrock of our society. And, family has been under attack in America. Families come in all shapes, sizes and demeanors. And, I love what a friend of mine used to say, “Normal is just a setting on the washing machine. There is no such thing as a ‘normal’ family. There is only the family we know. Each one is as unique as the individuals that comprise it, and one is uniquely yours.” Let’s give thanks for our families today. “He and his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.” (Acts 10:2; NIV) “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgives.” (Colossians 3:13; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: The Lord blesses our families when we honor Him. So, bless His holy Name and ask Him to bless your family! Pray for families that you know are facing struggles – sickness, financial stress, rebellious teens, joblessness, etc. If one of your family members has hurt you, forgive them. If another family has offended yours, forgive them. Know that you are forgiven when you forgive. This is a serious thing in the Lord’s eyes. The Word tells us the Lord blesses our families as we give to those in need. Ask Him to give you a creative way to help another family in need for the upcoming holidays. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we thank You that you bless our family as we bless You. We worship You and bless Your Holy name. Please meet the needs of our family as we honor You and exalt You! We bring the needs of other families before You, as well. There are so many in need. (Pray for other families in need.) Lord, we choose to forgive (name your family members that you perceive have hurt you. Now pray for other families who may have hurt your family.) Lord, our family wants to bless other families. As we seek You, show us what we can do this holiday season to help another family know how much You love and care about them. In Jesus’ name, amen. Today’s decree: We exalt and bless the Lord and the families of America this Thanksgiving!

Worship Him Now and then we just need to worship the Lord! We need to take time out of the heaviness of intercession and just worship Him. Let’s build a living sanctuary to God across the nation today! Let’s bring the ark of His Presence, the ark of His covenant, before Him on our praises. May we commit our lives to Him again, because He is worth everything! From sea to shining sea, across America, worship Him! “Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the Lord your God. Begin to build the sanctuary of the Lord your God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the sacred articles belonging to God into the temple that will be built for the Name of the Lord.” (1 Chronicles: 22:19; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Praise the Lord! Start with thanking Him for everything you can think of and praise Him! Glorify Him! Exalt Him over the nation. Proclaim Him as El Elyon, God Most High! He is the One, true God and worthy to be worshiped! Recommit your life to Him today. Take communion and reinforce your covenant relationship with Him. Worship Him in the beauty of His holiness. Worship Him until you have no more words to say, then, sit in the silence of His Presence and know how much you are loved by Him. A prayer you can pray: Lord, I praise You! I lift up Your holy name and exalt You above this nation. You are El Elyon, God Most High! You made this nation and everything in it! You have set its course and granted us mercy in this hour—mercy over judgement. You alone are worthy of our worship! You and You alone. I join many all across America today and I proclaim my allegiance to You once again. You are my Savior and there is no other. I take communion today acknowledging this. I am in covenant with You and that is an everlasting covenant. I so desire that others in America can know You like I know You. Give us a Great Awakening now, Lord! I will sit here and worship You in the holiness of Your Presence, Jesus. Today’s decree: God is worthy to be worshiped as El Elyon, God Most High, across America today!

Seating the New Cabinet During this transition period from the election to Inauguration Day, men and women are being chosen to serve in the highest positions in our government. Let’s take time to pray over each position, asking the Lord to place those HE has prepared for such a time as this! List of Cabinet positions in order of succession to the Presidency: The Vice President – Mike Pence The Secretary of State The Secretary of the Treasury The Secretary of Defense The Attorney General Secretary of the Interior Secretary of Agriculture Secretary of Commerce Secretary of Labor Secretary of Health and Human Services Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Secretary of Transportation Secretary of Energy Secretary of Education Secretary of Veterans Affairs Secretary of Homeland Security “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” (Philippians 4:8-9; ESV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: There is a time to educate yourself, so you can pray with understanding. You can learn about each cabinet position here. Pray for the exact right person to be found and placed for each position above. Pray that there would be no “Judas” among them. Ask the Lord for those He has had in training and preparation behind the scenes. Take authority against a spirit of confusion. Decree God’s Spirit of Unity over the White House and the Cabinet positions. Declare, “Our God reigns,” over this administration. A prayer you can pray: Father, we ask that You would be sought for Your wisdom and honored in this transitional season. Let President-elect, Donald Trump, Mike Pence and the others tasked with choosing our cabinet members, be led by Your Holy Spirit. Lead me, Holy Spirit, in my prayers for each position, as I educate myself on each one. We close the doors to those that are not Your choice. We close the doors to those who would have a rebellious heart and would undermine the President and Vice President. If there are those You have been preparing for this time in history, it’s time to shine Your light on them and make them known. We take authority over any confusion and speak “Shalom”, the Peace of God, and His Unity into the new Cabinet. We say, “Our God reigns over America!” Today’s decree: We decree the intervention of heaven in the choosing and placement of President-elect Trump’s new Cabinet!

Did We Dodge a Bullet? Progressives met earlier this week in Washington, D.C. to discuss what happened that brought Donald Trump to office, and to regroup. Don’t read this as “Democrats”. It’s bigger than the Democratic Party. Hosted by the Democracy Alliance, the sessions included, “The 2016 Election: What Happened and Why?”, “What’s Next: Playing Progressive Offense”, and “Combating the Massive Threats from Trump and Congress in 2017”. Specific groups were targeted: The Next Generation, the Working Class and Black Voters. This is more than a party agenda. Both parties need a shake-up! The political system in this nation needs a shake-up! This just shows clearly another side of the worldly structure Chuck Pierce warned us about that needs “trumped”. “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.” (Matthew 10:34; NLT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Thank the Lord that He confounded the unseen progressive plans the enemy had for this nation. Clearly the enemy is confused and wants to regroup and come back even harder than ever. We must continue to intercede that God would intervene and cause “their house to be divided” for a divided house cannot stand. Say that the enemy cannot use our nation’s young in its plans. As godly parents, let us pray that God would bring a new Jesus Movement – a Jesus Revolution. Pray that our children’s hearts would be so secure in Jesus that they have no desire to participate in the progressive agenda. Thank the Lord for His sovereign shake-up of America’s parties and political system! Pray that the worldly political structures in the nation would keep being “trumped” until this nation fully glorifies Him! A prayer you can pray: Lord, we exalt You above the nation! Thank you that You saw what we couldn’t see, and that is the progressive agenda going further than even the liberal agenda would take this nation. We ask You to confuse and confound the enemy driving these people. Divide them, Lord, even as you divided those who were building the tower of Babel. Unify our nation, Father! We specifically ask for a Jesus Revolution among our children and young adults! Lord, save them and change their hearts, so the progressive agenda has no pull on them. Keep setting us on the right track, rejecting power structures that push You out. Keep shaking our political system until it falls into place the way You desire it to be. In Jesus’ name, amen. Today’s decree: God is not done shaking the political system of America! He is going to shake it and “trump” it until He has a nation that brings glory to His Name!
