Prophetic Exhortation to Shift the Courts I know that there have been thousands praying and fasting and doing prayer journeys over the years for the shifting of the courts of America, and especially the Supreme Court. Many have done much more than I have, but I want to tell you a little about my journey. When God spoke to me in October of 2002, he said that he wanted me to give my focus to the courts. He said they were the open gate where evil is coming into the nation and the Church must change that. I began to stir up the prayer movement and say, “You must pray for the courts.” Since that time, I have prayed, preached, pleaded, been on television programs, written books, and done about everything I can possibly do to say, “We must give all of our efforts to this! The future of a nation is at stake! We are warring for the soul of a nation!” I am not being sensational when I say that. We are warring for the destiny of millions of people. We are warring for the destiny of nations! “And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, ‘O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments, we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments….Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications… O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.’” (Daniel 9:4-5, 17a and 19; NKJV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray the prayer of Daniel (written above) over the courts of America. Thank the Lord for those who have prayed, and taught, and warned, and led intercession and prayer journeys, for the shifting of the Supreme Court. Intercede for those leaders that set their faces like flint and have not stopped until they saw the shift of the Court in their generation. Ask God to refresh them and help them press in until the Court is solidly shifted—two, maybe three, or even four conservative constitutional justices seated there. Decree that America will line up with the destiny God has for this great nation. We were created to take the Gospel to the nations of the earth from these shores. A prayer you can pray: O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps Your covenant and mercy with those who love You, and with those who keep Your commandments, we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments….Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servants, and our supplications…O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name. Thank you for all those that have interceded for a shift in the Supreme Court – the shift we are now experiencing. We won’t be content with just one more conservative justice. We want at least two more and maybe three more strong constitutionalists on our high court! We call America to align with the reasons You established our nation—to be a light in the darkness and a place of refuge where everyone can find salvation in Christ. Let us also be a people who take the Gospel from these shores to the nations of the earth! In Jesus’ name, amen. Today’s decree: America! Fulfill your destiny! Preach the Gospel to the nations of the earth!

Satan’s Opposition Against the Saints God decrees that changes are happening. God decrees, “This is going to change! I am coming to do this thing! I’m going to move in the nation! I’m going to restore!” The minute Satan hears that, he starts to plan to move against the Church. He moves against the Church because God works through the Church. Satan tries to get us weary and to distract us in any way he can. Sometimes, he just gets us off track through bad theology. He also works through our ignorance of what is happening. He tries to deceive us, so that what God has decreed can no longer happen. When God makes a promise to us, it is not always guaranteed. It can be conditional on what we do, how we respond, whether we will carry out the Word. This can be expected in the battle for the Courts. “He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law.” (Daniel 7:25a; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Read Ephesians 6:10-18. This is the passage on the full armor of God. Pray through it out loud and ready yourself for spiritual battle for the Supreme Court. Ask the Lord for supernatural grace to stay focussed. Consider fasting social media, news outlets, or other things that could be a distraction to hearing Holy Spirit clearly. Many believers are basing their belief system on politics instead of the Word of God right now. Intercede for the Church to be able to lay political views aside and come into unity over the Word of God. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we recognize that we are in a spiritual battle. Satan is looking to win this one, because at least a generation is at stake, if not a number of generations of Americans coming up behind us. Life, justice, truth, and righteousness are at stake and we must war with spiritual weapons to win this battle for the Supreme Court. Grant Your Church supernatural grace and strength to focus. Turn us aside from distractions that can sway our mindsets one way or another. We must have the mind of Christ. Help us to pray at all times, as Apostle Paul encourages us to in Ephesians 6:18. We need to hear Holy Spirit telling us how to pray, so we hit the mark with our intercession. Remove our prideful opinions based on our politics. Our thoughts must be Yours and must be based on Your Word. Then, the enemy cannot manipulate us or turn us against each other. Make us one, so You can command a blessing over our nation, Jesus! If we are one in You, we will encourage each other and the enemy won’t be able to wear us out! Amen. Today’s decree: God is moving in to change the Supreme Court and change the nation!

We Have Entered an Appointed Time Look at Daniel 2:20-21. Basically, it says that God has the ability to shift us into another season and bring some people down and raise up others. I believe that God has changed the time and the season for this nation and for the Courts. In Daniel 7:25 it says, “Satan will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One. He will intend to make alterations in times and law.” It is saying that Satan comes along and tries to take the appointed times of God and change them. “Appointed time” means “opportune time”; the “right time”. It is “kairos” in the New Testament. When we have an appointed time of God for things to change, when we have an opportunity to move into something new or see a restoration take place, Satan comes along and he tries to change that. How does he do that? Not by changing God’s mind. He tries to impact the saints. He tries to mentally and emotionally wear us down. We get tired of the battle, tired of praying, tired of the calls to prayer, tired of fasting. We start to grow weary in our well-doing. God tells us not to let that happen, because that is how Satan works to try to steal our opportune moments away. “Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, for wisdom and power belong to Him. It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men and knowledge to men of understanding.” (Daniel 2:20-21; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Don’t get weary in well-doing. If you feel weary, talk to God about this, worship Him, and let Him refresh you. Tell Satan to back off, for you are one who will press in, not back up! This is an appointed time for the national battle for the U.S. Supreme Court. Stay focused, well-informed, and  on target with your intercession. Join with others in prayer groups or on prayer calls if you feel weary praying alone. Declare over yourself that God will grant you grace to overcome any weariness and wisdom to know how to fight the good fight of faith, until God’s choice is seated on the Court. A prayer you can pray: Father, refresh me. Renew me. Break all tiredness and weariness off of me. We have hit the apex of a battle and the Supreme Court is about to shift for at least a generation. It’s not time to stop interceding now! Increase my faith. Partner me with others and let us encourage one another. Jesus, You will grant me grace to overcome, wisdom to know how to pray, and strength to press through until the next person of Your choice is seated on the Court. Amen. Today’s decree: God is shifting the U. S. Supreme Court! I will stand with Him until it is accomplished!

The Founders of Yale and Princeton The founders of Yale said, “Every student shall consider the main end of his study is to know God and Jesus Christ and answerably to lead a godly, sober life.”(*) In 1755, the students of Yale College were instructed, “Above all, have an eye to the great end of all your studies, which is to obtain the clearest conceptions of Divine things and to lead you to a saving knowledge of God and His Son, Jesus Christ.”(*) Princeton University’s motto was, “Under God’s power, she flourishes.” (*) The first President of Princeton University, the Rev. Jonathan Dickenson, stated, “Cursed be all that learning that is contrary to the Cross of Christ.” (*) The first President of Princeton said that. “He wants all people to be saved and to learn the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4; GWT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Pray for all of the earliest U.S. universities and colleges you can find. Most were established as seminaries. Otherwise, they were typically founded with a biblical directive. Start with Yale and Princeton. (Click here for a good place to start.) Declare the founders’ heart and intent back into these schools, as indicated in the quotes above. Pray for every college-aged student to encounter Christ. Declare that no court, not even our U.S. Supreme Court, can keep Christ out of our colleges and universities! Cry out for a sweeping move of God in our colleges and universities! A prayer you can pray: Lord, we call our nation’s earliest colleges and universities back to their roots, if they were established to honor You. (Find schools to pray for here.) We declare that You once moved on the hearts of those that founded these schools with Your plan. Renew and refresh it, Father. Let revival hit our college campuses! May every student encounter Jesus! No court in the land, not even the U. S. Supreme Court, can keep Jesus out or stop this move of God! Holy Spirit, sweep over our universities! Amen. Today’s decree: Christ’s gospel will go forth from our colleges and universities once again! * Quotes are from “America’s God and Country.” Learn more here.

Little Known Facts About Harvard University Of the first 108 universities founded in America, 106 were distinctly Christian, including the first—Harvard University. In the original Harvard school handbook, rule number one was, “Students seeking entrance must know Latin and Greek, so they can study the scriptures.” (*) A quote from the handbook says, “Let every student be plainly instructed and earnestly pressed to consider well the main end of his life and studies is to know God and Jesus Christ, which is eternal life.” (*) The founders of Harvard believed that “all knowledge without Christ was vain.” (*) The word “Veritas” on the college seal means “Divine Truth” (*). The motto of Harvard was officially, “For Christ and the Church.” (*) “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32; GWT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Call back our earliest universities to the root they were founded on – to know Christ and His Word. Call Harvard back to knowing again “Divine Truth” found in Christ alone. Decree over Harvard University, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free!” (John 8:32; GWT) Let all knowledge without Christ be vain and ask God to make the students hunger and thirst after Jesus! Declare that Harvard will once again be a school that turns out men and women into arenas of influence who know Christ and will make Him known. A prayer you can pray: Father, we call our nation’s earliest universities and colleges back to their roots. They were founded on the principle that the Word of God was to be the basis of all they would be educated to do in life. That is the very best foundation they could have—the Bible. Return Harvard, specifically, back to knowing Divine Truth, which is found only in Christ. Harvard University, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free!” (John 8:32; GWT) may the students there that know You be on fire for You, drawing others to hunger and thirst after You, Jesus. Impact every sphere of society with Harvard graduates that have once again come to know Jesus Christ and Your Word. Amen. Today’s decree: Harvard University and all Ivy Leagues will experience a sweeping revival and growing hunger of the students to know the Word of God and the God of the Word! * Quote from “America’s God and Country.” Learn more here.

What Was the Founding Fathers’ Intent? In 1782, the Congress of the United States voted this resolution, “The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools.” (*) Did you just read that? Read it again. This group that supposedly did not want God to have anything to do with public life or any government paid-for facility voted that the Bible was very good to be used in schools. In fact, did you know that one of the first acts of the Continental Congress, after they signed the Declaration of Independence, was to order 25,000 Bibles from Europe to pass out to the people of America? I doubt if you heard that in school. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Declare, “The Bible will be welcomed in schools once again.” Identificationally repent for the actions our Courts and education administrators have taken to ban the Bible in the school system. Encourage your children to take their Bibles to school to read in free reading time. Get young ones Bible story books to read. Ask your school librarians to add Christian literature to the bookshelves. If there are any books on other religions, humanism, magic, etc., that is the open door for your request. If you are college-aged, insert Bible quotes, stories, examples, and concepts into the papers you write and reports you present. If you are a teacher, take your own Bible to school and read it in your own free time. Start a Bible study with other teachers. It is not against the law or the Constitution. It just makes some people around you nervous. Intercede for a fresh wind of Bible-welcomeness in your local schools. A prayer you can pray: Lord, I declare, “The Bible will be welcomed in schools once again.” Forgive our judges and the administrators of our educational system for their ban on Bibles. This is not how America was founded. Your Word was so welcome for at least 150 years. Why should just a few people who don’t know You or understand the transforming power of Your Word decide to eliminate it from our schools? I will determine to be a voice for its re-insertion into the school system by encouraging students from the youngest to the oldest to take their Bibles to school. They should read them, quote them in papers and reports, and live according to its principles. Give teachers the boldness to study the Word in their free time at school, separately and together. Make those around them curious and hungry to see what that’s all about, Holy Spirit. Let our witness be filled with love and grace. Let Your holy wind blow over Your Word and perform it through Your Church in the schools, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: America will once again honor the Word of God! * Quote from “America’s God and Country.” Learn more here.

Quotes from Founding Fathers and Presidents “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For that reason alone, people of other faiths have been afforded freedom of worship here.” (*Founding Father, Patrick Henry) President Adams, on July 4, 1821, said, “The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity.” (*) Calvin Coolidge, our 30th President of the United States, reaffirmed this truth when he wrote, “The foundations of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the Bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically universal in this country.” (*) “He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.” (Psalm 62:2; NLT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Declare, “Our nation was founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ!” Thank the Lord for all of those who laid down their lives 240+ years ago for the cause of birthing a nation that would honor Jesus Christ above all. Declare, “The Bible, the Word of God, is an important component of the foundation of our government. The world cannot take that away, judges cannot take that away, and politicians cannot take that away. We, Christ’s followers, choose to live on that firm foundation!” Declare, “Those from the nations of the earth who come to our shores shall find refuge here, religious freedom here, and the opportunity to come to know Christ here.” A prayer you can pray: Our nation was founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Many lives, including those of some of our founding fathers, were lost establishing the United States of America as a nation that honors Christ above all. Thank you for their sacrifice, Lord. How dare we treat it so lightly as to ignore what they fought for. The Bible, the Word of God, is still an important component of the foundation of our government. The world cannot take that away, judges cannot take that away, and politicians cannot take that away. We, Christ’s followers, choose to live on that firm foundation! Jesus, send us those from the nations of the earth. Let them come to our shores and find refuge here, religious freedom here, and the opportunity to come to know You here. Amen. Today’s decree: Our nation was founded on Christ alone! * Quote from “America’s God and Country.” Learn more here.

A Little About Thomas Jefferson Thomas Jefferson wrote on the front of his well-worn Bible, “I am a Christian. That is to say, I am a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus.” (*) He was also the Chairman of the American Bible Society, which he considered his highest and most important role. When he was President, he was head of the school board in Washington, D.C., and required that the Bible and a book of hymns and songs be used to teach the kids how to read! This is who Thomas Jefferson was—the man they try to quote and say that our founders didn’t want God in school! Those advocating the separation of church and state know exactly what our founders meant when they wrote the U. S. Constitution, yet they teach fiction. It is not hard to find these historical quotes. They just don’t like the truth. It doesn’t fit their narrative. “Whoever speaks the truth gives honest evidence, but a false witness utters deceit.” (Proverbs 12:17; ESV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: When we twist truth, we can alter history. That has happened in the case of Thomas Jefferson in both his life and his writings. Boldly ask God to correct history! Identificationally repent for our nation’s attempt to remove God from civil society—from our government, schools, businesses and laws—where historical record was ignored or twisted. Declare that a spirit of deception that has come through the manipulation of historical record will be broken off our nation. Declare that Truth will be restored! Command the Supreme Court Justices to thoroughly research historical facts and intent before making arbitrary decisions that shift our nation’s history. A prayer you can pray: Father, we rarely think of the ramifications when we lie or twist the truth. In the case of Thomas Jefferson, revisionist Supreme Court justices thought they could take the words of a man they considered progressive and just alter them to fit their desire for America. Well, that has left us with an ongoing battle over religious freedom in America, as well as tarnished Thomas Jefferson’s image. Forgive us for our pride, Lord. We want You to be our Lord and King over America. We want our Constitution to be the solid foundation for the nation that it is meant to be. We do not want You rejected from civil society. We are in desperate need of You! We declare that this deceptive turning around of historical words is over now! We say that men and women who honored You will be once again honored in our history books for the stand they took. Truth will be restored to America! We say that only men and women can be seated on the Supreme Court who will look at every bit of historically factual information. They will base their decisions on what the intent of the Constitution’s writers was before they make a decision affecting our nation’s laws and future. God, cause things to be reversed and set right constitutionally in Jesus’ name. Amen. Today’s decree: Truth will reign over America! * Quote from “America’s God and Country.” Learn more here.

The Price Paid For Removing One Simple Prayer “Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our Country.” What price have we paid for removing this simple prayer from our schools, which acknowledged God’s protective hand in our lives? Birth rates for unwed girls aged 15-19 are out of control. Sexually transmitted disease among 10-14 year-olds is rampant. Premarital sex increased. Violent crime increased. Adolescent homicide has gone up considerably since 1962, even after taking into account population growth. The Bible prior to 1962 was used extensively in curriculums. After prayer and the Bible were removed, scholastic aptitude test scores dropped considerably. All of this is documented. This doesn’t even take into account 67 million aborted babies! This also doesn’t mention the rise of euthanasia. Our founding fathers did not even remotely intend to remove God from anything to do with government or public life. “‘Even now,’ declares the Lord, ‘return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.’ Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity. Who knows? He may turn and relent and leave behind a blessing.” (Joel 2:12-14a; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Identificationally repent for the removal of prayer in our educational system, leading to the removal of the honoring of God in many spheres. Declare, “We will return to You, honor You, and worship You in every sphere of society.” Pray the simple prayer: “Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our Country.” Welcome God into this nation. Declare that regardless of what our government officials have decreed, we, the Ekklesia, decree, “You are welcome in our schools, halls of government, and marketplace.” A prayer you can pray: Lord, forgive our Supreme Court Justices, presidents, school boards, and other governmental leaders that felt prayer did not belong in the public arena, but only in our homes and churches. How foolish that thought process is! It leaves a huge hole that every other form of religion and doctrine of men comes in and tries to fill—with disastrous results! However, in our generation, we will return to You, honor You, and worship You in every sphere of society. Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our Country. You are welcome in our schools, halls of government, and marketplace. In Jesus’ loving and forgiving name, amen. Today’s decree: God, we fling the doors of welcome open to You in America!

Removing Prayer In School On June 25, 1962, the Supreme Court of the United States removed prayer from schools based on Engel v Vitale. For 185 years, prayer was allowed in public institutions and the Constitutional Convention itself was opened in prayer. If the founding fathers didn’t want prayer in schools, why did they pray publicly in official meetings? The U. S. Supreme Court, with no precedent in any court history, said prayer will be removed from schools. Here’s how harmful the prayer in question was: “Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our Country.” That was the offensive prayer. “Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16; NASB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Declare, “Prayer wasn’t removed from schools, like the judges supposed. It was sent like a seed to die and now it will spring forth in multiplied prayers in schools everywhere!” Declare, “Our schools will be filled with prayer!” Get your children ready. Teach them and train them how to pray. They can start a movement by standing next to their desks, bowing their heads and quietly praying before they sit down. They do not have to even make a disturbance. They can gather and pray for their school and nation at the flagpole every day, not just one day a year. Determine to raise your children to fear God and not man. Yes, they can pray at home, but why shouldn’t they pray everywhere they go? Does your family pray over meals in restaurants? Then, they can pray over lunch in the cafeteria. A prayer you can pray: Prayer wasn’t removed from schools, like the judges supposed. It was sent like a seed to die and now it will spring forth in multiplied prayers in schools everywhere! Our schools will be filled with prayer! Jesus, teach us to teach our children to pray. Let us give them God-ideas every day to fill their school with prayer! We want to start a student-led prayer revolution in the schools. They will publicly pray for their school and nation before they go in. They will pray at their desks before they sit down. They will pray over their lunches. They will pray in groups on playgrounds and quads at lunch time. They will pray at sporting events and at graduations. They will unashamedly pray! Far from the courts shutting down prayer, the persecution will have only made us more bold. What have we been waiting for? Jesus, lead us, guide us, and direct us. Amen. Today’s decree: Our schools will experience a prayer revolution!

The Establishment Clause “Anytime religion is mentioned within the confines of government today, people cry ‘Separation of church and state!’ Many people think this statement appears in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and, therefore, must be strictly enforced. However, the words ‘separation’, ‘church’ and ‘state’ do not even appear in the First Amendment! The First Amendment reads, ‘Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of a religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.’ The statement about a wall of separation between church and state was made in a letter on January 1st, 1802, by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Association of Connecticut. The congregation heard a wide-spread rumor that Congregationalists, another denomination, was going to become the national religion. Jefferson made it very clear in his letter to the Danbury congregation that the ‘separation’ was meant to be that government would not establish a national religion or dictate to men how to worship God. Jefferson’s letter, from which the church and state statement was taken, affirmed First Amendment rights.” (David Barton)1 “Indeed, the time is coming, and it is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. The Father is looking for people like that to worship him. God is a spirit. Those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23-24; GWT) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: The President, the Congress, nor the Supreme Court cannot limit our worship of God! Rejoice! Do not bow down to the separation of Church and State! It is not in the Constitution and it must be challenged! Unless you are someone else’s private property, pray where you want to. Read your Bible where you want to, including in school! Anywhere where it is public domain, you can worship God! Get a few friends, go to a public place and worship Him. Plan to draw a crowd and tell them about Jesus. Teach your children how to ask fellow students if they can pray for them. Teach them to pray for the sick and the hurting. Teach them to lead people to salvation in Christ. Teach them how to even pray over their teachers, principals, other school staff, and classroom volunteers. Want to see your school’s atmosphere change? Call the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) or The Justice Foundation for help, if you are told to stop praying or worshipping in any public forum, including your schools. A prayer you can pray: God, what a revelation! I can feel the fear lifting. The enemy has tried to put Your people in a box and make us afraid to worship You in the public square. We thought we had to honor the separation of church and state. What a lie! Let Christian parents teach their children to pray in their schools, pray over their friends and teachers, read their Bibles, and sing songs that honor you. I can see our schools’ atmospheres changing! Bless the ACLJ and The Justice Foundation for helping us know how to legally navigate this and take back our First Amendment freedom to worship You anywhere we want to! Thank you, Jesus! Amen. Today’s decree: The courts of America shall not prohibit our worship of God! 1 learn more about David Barton and Wallbuilders here.

Is Marriage on the Rocks? “In San Francisco a few years ago, sat an imperiest judge who concluded that marriage, as it has existed for more than 5000 years on every continent and in every culture on the earth, is not rational and should be retooled. Although many fine men and women serve on the bench, this decision illustrates the heady abuse of power that is all too common among independent fiefdoms, known as judges. They rule like royal monarchs, and sitting on the top of the pyramid is the U.S. Supreme Court, which threatens the liberty that was purchased with the blood of countless men and women who died to secure it. How did this happen to us? How could such a great and freedom-loving people have allowed themselves to be dominated by a handful of unelected, unaccountable, arrogant, and often gutless judges, many of whom receive lifetime appointments and regularly circumvent the democratic process? It is a breathtaking and ominous development. Was this the desire of the founding fathers when they designed this great representative form of government? Hardly.” (James Dobson)1 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24; ESV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Declare, “Marriage is not defined by man, but by God alone!” Repent for Christians who have not honored their marriage covenants. This opens the door to the world’s judgements of the institution. Pray for every marriage you know, including your own. Pray for the strengthening of the relationships between husbands and wives in general. Ask God for America to once again honor marriage as being between one man and one woman. How sad that we even have to define it. A prayer you can pray: Father, I honor marriage as You created it. What a miracle to see one man and one woman enter into a one-flesh, life-long marriage covenant. Forgive the Church for not always honoring our marriage covenants. We have esteemed them too lightly and not understood covenant ourselves. The world, therefore, has mocked us and felt they could do a better job at defining what marriage could be. (Pray for every marriage you know, including your own.) Strengthen marriage in America. Let the covenants be honored. Let marriage between one man and one woman be desired and not rejected. Let our nation once again honor Your definition of marriage as the only definition of marriage, Jesus. Amen. Today’s decree: Marriage cannot be redefined by any judge! Marriage belongs to God! 1 Learn more about Dr. James Dobson here.
