The Fullness of Time God said to Abraham, “I’m going to give you this land. As far as I’m concerned, it’s already yours.” But then he added later, “I can’t give you that land right now. It’s going to be 400 years, because the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.” Regarding this nation, I think God has been waiting in part for the Church to get ready. The bowls of intercession just have to get filled. Only God knows when the bowls are filled. Only God knows when the iniquity of the Amorites is complete. Regarding that iniquity, it’s as if he says, “When their sin is at a certain level, then I can righteously give the land to somebody else.” That’s what I think has been happening this last year. The iniquity ripened and the prayers of the saints filled the bowls. Now, God is moving to change this nation. “Not until the fourth generation will your descendants return here to possess the land, because the sin of the Amorite people has not yet reached its full measure.” (Genesis 15:16; The VOICE) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Have you felt anxious and wondered why God is taking His time dealing with your personal situation or with national sin? Have you felt the press of intercession to push toward the “filling of the bowls”? Rejoice, because God is moving in this year – 2018/5778 to fling open doors, deal with iniquitous patterns, and answer our long-time prayers. Declare that iniquity is being judged, death cultures are reversing, righteousness will reign. Determine to lovingly help those who have participated in the iniquities of the past. Do not rejoice over their fall. Catch them! We were born for such a time as this. A prayer you can pray: Father, You see the anxious hearts of Your people, so we bring them to You. At times, we haven’t understood why You appear to be taking your time. As always, Your Word holds the secret – iniquity was not yet full! That revelation gives us hope! So, we lean into the Words of the Lord that numerous prophetic voices have brought forth this year. Those voices are declaring that doors are opening, iniquitous structures are being judged, and righteousness will reign. Lord, take any gloating out of our hearts. Help us to pay attention to those whose hearts are turning, so we can be there to love them out of their shame and into Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ loving name, amen. How is Your View? “You know, 2017 was a very difficult time of uncertainty for so many of us. There were terrorist acts, riots, political unrest, and division. As we look on the world news, we have the threat of North Korea looming over the world. We had natural disasters here in the U.S., with fires and flooding across the nation. But, in the midst of it, I found myself starting to feel really good, and people looked at me like, ‘Are you crazy? Why are you feeling good right now?’ Because I’m seeing what God is bringing.” (Cindy Jacobs)1 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7; ESV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Are you feeling fearful over the challenges the nation is facing? Talk to the Lord about your fears. He cares. He already knows. He won’t reject you. Worship over the nation for a while. See the heavens opening and the angels pouring in to work with our intercession. Intercede for the political climate, the economy, US international relationships, healing of natural disasters, or some other big thing we are facing. Ask God to help Him to see things from His perspective. Feel your faith arise, as you pray. A prayer you can pray: Father, I know I can be honest with You about the many things the U.S. is facing on many sides. I love chatting with You about these things, knowing You won’t reject my questions. I exalt You over this nation, wonderful One! Open my eyes to see the angels rushing in to help carry out Your will, as we intercede! Help me to see from Your perspective in the heavenly places. A Pro-Abortion Mindset “No more children should be born when the parents, though healthy themselves, find that their children are physically or mentally defective. No matter how much they desire children, no man and woman have a right to bring into the world those who are to suffer from mental or physical affliction. It condemns the child to a life of misery and places upon the community the burden of caring for it, probably for its defective descendants for many generations.—Margaret Sanger”1 “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!” (Psalm 139:16-17; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Sanger’s words above are part of the root of the modern-day abortion movement. Thank the Lord for every single child, healthy or not. Declare that God has a destiny for every life He creates. He makes no mistakes. Declare that every life has value and purpose. Pray for any parents you know who have children with disabilities. Think of a way you can do something kind to let a parent with a challenged child know they are supported. Ask God for laws that protect the unborn from selective abortion. A prayer you can pray: Father, Margaret Sanger’s words above are shocking! It is very clear that Sanger believed, from ideas rooted in eugenics, that any person not “perfect” has no right to live. That is not how You feel. You love and value every life and we Believers are to value every life, as well. We are to come around the struggling and assist them in their circumstances. Encourage parents with disabled children, Jesus. (Pray for thse you know.) Show them how loved they are. Whisper acts of kindness I can do to help lighten their day a bit. Restoring the Sanctity of Life “My friends, life is winning in America because love saves lives. And know, as you march for life, that your compassion, your persistence, your activism, and your prayers are saving lives. And this pro-life generation should never doubt we are with you. This President stands with you. And He who said, ‘Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you,’ is with you as well. And I believe with all of my heart, with your continued dedication and compassion, with pro-life majorities in the Congress, with President Donald Trump in this White House, and with God’s help, we will restore the sanctity of life to the center of American law.” (Vice-President Mike Pence)1 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. You are fearfully and wonderfully made! Pray for every pregnant mama you know. Intercede for those married couples who would like to be pregnant and are struggling with barrenness. Call “life” to their wombs! Ask the Father for more pro-life laws to restore a culture of honoring life in America. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we worship You—the One Who gave us life! Oh, how you love us! Oh, how marvelous You have made us! I lift up (pray for each pregnant woman you know.) Father, grant a grace to conceive for all those married couples who would like to have a child. We say into the women’s wombs, “Life!” We have a window of opportunity in this political environment to pass life-honoring legislation. Make a way, Jesus! Our Pro-Life President “More than 240 years ago, our Founders wrote words that have echoed through the ages. They declared ‘these Truths to be self-evident,’ that we are, each of us, endowed by our ‘Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.’ Forty-five years ago, the Supreme Court of the United States turned its back on the unalienable right to life.  But in that moment, our movement began. A movement that continues to win hearts and minds. A movement defined by generosity, compassion, and love. And a movement that one year ago, tomorrow, inaugurated the most pro-life President in American history, President Donald Trump. However, he pleases the Lord in that he chooses to honor life in the United States of America! Thank the Lord for our President. Thank the Lord for V.P. Mike Pence, as well, as he is also staunchly pro-life and has a wonderful influence on our President. Thank God for President Trump’s actions to prevent our tax dollars from funding overseas abortions, for empowering states to honor life, and for nominating pro-life judges. Identificationally repent for the state our nation is in due to actions of our past leaders who chose abortion for us. Ask the Lord to let Roe v Wade be overturned in our generation. Say out loud that you choose life for your family and community and nation. A prayer you can pray: Father, thank you for President Trump, who has boldly and unashamedly chosen life for our nation. He is appalled at abortion and the effect on our country. Bless him for these righteous stands and protect him from the backlash that could come against him, spiritually and physically, for this stand. Bless Vice-President Mike Pence, also. What a wonderful, godly, and God-fearing man. It’s good to see his unfaltering support and encouragement for the President. Thank you that President Trump has acted to keep my tax dollars from funding abortion, here and overseas. He is working to give states the right to stop funding abortion in our states. He has kept his word and nominated pro-life judges. Forgive our judges, presidents, governors, and legislators of the past that opened the door to abortion and even expanded its bloody culture of death. God save us from abortion! All equipment (audio, video, internet, Livestreaming, etc.) to meet every need to function properly throughout the conference Transportation and safe arrival of DSM truck, trailer, and things inside (equipment, supplies, etc.); protection against every potential vulnerability or attack from the enemy. Drivers to be protected and fully alert throughout the trip and good weather as they make the trip from Colorado to D.C., and back again A prayer you can pray: In the name of Jesus, we join together to decree that everything that the DSM staff, administration, technical teams, and volunteers put their hands to is unto You and for Your glory. We decree divine protection over each team member, including all interaction and coordination with hotel providers and vendors, and over the function of every piece of equipment needed. We decree that every scheme of the enemy against any person and all equipment associated with The TURNAROUND is being exposed, extracted, and eliminated now, and that by the Blood of Jesus every person and all equipment is secured and sanctified for the purposes of the Lord. Room at the Inn “Marianne Donadio was 17 when she found out she was pregnant.  At first, she felt like she had no place to turn. But when she told her parents, they responded with total love, total affection, total support. Marianne bravely chose life and soon gave birth to her son. She named him Benedict, which means blessing. Marianne was so grateful for her parents’ love and support that she felt called to serve those who were not as fortunate as her. She joined with others in her community to start a maternity home to care for homeless women who were pregnant. They named it ‘Room at the Inn.’ Today, Marianne and her husband, Don, are the parents of six beautiful children, and her eldest son, Benedict, and her daughter, Maria, join us here today. Thank the Lord for parents and others in these women’s support networks who helped them in their life decisions. Bless them for not judging, but choosing the life of the new little one, instead of thinking of their own reputations. Many ministries have unfolded after life-choices were made. Pray for the success of the Room at the Inn and any life centers or women’s support centers you know about in your community. A prayer you can pray: Father, I and my family choose life! Thank you for the women who are brave enough to choose to keep a challenging pregnancy, even though they may battle great fear at times.  Thank you for the men who impregnated them who stood with their decision to choose life and did not pressure them to abort. Thank you for parents, family, friends, and church members who swallowed their pride, chose to love and not judge, and supported completely the woman’s choice to bring her baby into the world. I bless the many life centers and other ministries that help women who choose life. Grant grace to the workers and move on hearts to give finances to help in many ways! Thank you, Jesus. Amen. New Life-honoring Legislation “I strongly supported the House of Representative’s Pain-Capable bill, which would end painful, late-term abortions nationwide. And I call upon the Senate to pass this important law and send it to my desk for signing. Today, I’m announcing that we have just issued a new proposal to protect conscience rights and religious freedoms of doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals.  So important. I have also just reversed the previous administration’s policy that restricted states’ efforts to direct Medicaid funding away from abortion facilities that violate the law. We are protecting the sanctity of life and the family as the foundation of our society.  But this movement can only succeed with the heart and the soul and the prayer of the people.” (President Donald J. Trump)1 “It is impossible to do what God’s standards demand because of the weakness our human nature has. But God sent his Son to have a human nature as sinners have and to pay for sin. Rejoice and thank God for President Trump’s desire to sign righteous laws, laws that honor life, and laws that protect our freedom of conscience as Believers. Decree that life and family are the foundation of American society and they will be honored across the land! A prayer you can pray: God, thank you for President Trump, who desires to sign laws that honor life and righteousness. He has already reversed unrighteous laws that limited Believers’ freedom to choose to honor life, preserving their consciences.  He reversed former policy that restricted the states from defunding abortion facilities. He has determined that his administration will “protect the sanctity of life and the family as the foundation of our society.” Jesus, we ask for the Pain-Capable Bill to become the law of the land. Defenders of the Right to Life “As you all know, Roe vs. Wade has resulted in some of the most permissive abortion laws anywhere in the world.  For example, in the United States, it’s one of only seven countries to allow elective late-term abortions, along with China, North Korea, and others. Right now, in a number of states, the laws allow a baby to be born [torn] from his or her mother’s womb in the ninth month. It is wrong; it has to change. Americans are more and more pro-life.  You see that all the time.  In fact, only 12 percent of Americans support abortion on demand at any time. Under my administration, we will always defend the very first right in the Declaration of Independence, and that is the right to life.” (President Donald J. Bless him for proposing legislation that protects life and rolls back unrighteous abortion-on-demand laws. Forgive our nation for past legislation and Supreme Court action leading to us being one of seven nations allowing late-term abortions. God, forgive us! I decree that America will stop late-term abortions as soon as possible! Let a national disgust over abortion rise up across the land, until our lawmakers and judges eradicate it from our shores. Love Saves Lives Yesterday, 1/9/18, was the National March for Life in Washington, DC. President Donald Trump addressed the marchers. “The March for Life is a movement born out of love.  You love your families, you love your neighbors, you love our nation, and you love every child, born and unborn, because you believe that every life is sacred, that every child is a precious gift from God. We know that life is the greatest miracle of all.  We see it in the eyes of every new mother who cradles that wonderful, innocent, and glorious newborn child in her loving arms. I want to thank every person here today and all across our country who works with such big hearts and tireless devotion to make sure that parents have the care and support they need to choose life.  Because of you, tens of thousands of Americans have been born and reached their full, God-given potential — because of you. You’re living witnesses of this year’s March for Life theme.  And that theme is: Love saves lives.” (President Donald J. Do any societal concepts push up against your understanding of what the Bible says? Talk with God about these things and where His love comes in. Are you able to love those who have aborted their children, as well as loving those who choose life? If you have had an abortion or helped someone attain one, have you fully forgiven yourself? If not, bring it to the cross now and let God fully love you, and heal your heart and mind. In Him, forgiveness is yours when you repent. Intercede for God’s love for every unborn child to sweep across the hearts of this nation. A prayer you can pray: Lord, show me my heart toward life from the moment of conception. Are there any places where I would compromise Your Word, because of my compassion for the women involved? Let’s talk this through until my heart lines up with Your Word. Am I walking in any area of judgement against those who have aborted their children? Forgive me. Help me love them as deeply as I love those who choose life. (If you participated in an abortion: Forgive me for my complicity in any abortion. I didn’t understand at the time that love stands strong for life. Let Your loving forgiveness for me heal my heart and mind.) Looking to the Next Generation “In Isaiah 28:9, the question is posed: ‘If the Church is currently in (an unusable) condition, how can we begin to shift things for God?’ Who can we begin to teach the right principles to and convey the message of the transformation? The question is asked in verse 9, ‘Those just weaned from the milk? Those just drawn from the breast?’ It is as if the prophet is suggesting that we may have to intentionally turn to a new, younger generation to get the job done! This is to display God’s eternal purposes and the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers, the mandate for subduing and having dominion, the call to bring territorial transformation, the strategy to heal the land, the heart to restore people but also to restore all – the mission to cause the kingdoms of this world to become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ.” (Tom Hamon)1 “Who is the LORD trying to teach? To whom is he explaining a message? Those just weaned from milk! Those just taken from their mother’s breast!” (Isaiah 28:9; NET Bible) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Intercede for the spiritual mothers and fathers to arise and make themselves ready to teach the younger generation the truths of the Gospel of the Kingdom. If you are in the spiritual father/mother age group, ask the Lord to make this shift in your mind and heart. If you are a Millennial or younger, ask God to send you and your friends spiritual fathers and mothers to teach you Kingdom ways, so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Do a Bible study in the New Testament looking for teaching on the Kingdom. A prayer you can pray: Father, we call forth the mothers and fathers that have placed themselves under Your Lordship and maintained a right relationship with You. Stir them to make themselves ready to impart the teachings of Kingdom life and Your ways to the next generation. As a father or mother, I ask You to help me to shift priorities around, so I have time. Give me a love for the young ones and give me what I need to give them. As a Millennial or younger individual, I ask You to send my generation the spiritual fathers and mothers you have been raising up for the last few decades. God, You have taught them so much that I need to understand of the Kingdom. Don’t make my generation start all over again. We know our need of them and will receive from them. Jesus, show us all, old and young together, the Kingdom strategies in Your Word, that we may walk together in them. Amen. Are You Ready for the Battle at the Gates? In Isaiah 28:6, the Word declares that God will be “a Spirit of Justice to him who sits in judgement, and for strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.” I believe that is the call and the challenge in this season: to turn the tide of social injustice, unrighteousness, immorality and evil in our culture today. The gate is always where the battle rages to see who will control a city, a nation, a region and a culture of people. The passage in Isaiah goes on to say that those who are called to battle at the gate have lost their battle to influence the culture, because they are intoxicated or drunk on the world system. They have imbibed the worldly culture around them so much that they are no longer holy, different, righteous or influential for God’s cause anymore. (Tom Hamon)1 “But now those leaders are drunk. The priests and prophets are all drunk with wine and beer. They stumble and fall down. The prophets are drunk when they see their dreams. The judges are drunk when they make their decisions. Every table is covered with vomit. There is not a clean place anywhere.” (Isaiah 28: 7-8; ERV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Choose this day whom you will serve – God or the world’s systems. Repent if you need to. Repent if you have so embraced the world and its delights and culture that lost souls can’t see any difference in you and the world around you. Declare to the Lord the areas of society around you that you know you are called to influence – the family, the schools, government (at the local, state or national level), the military community, business, etc. Intercede for that area of influence. Feel the effects of your repentance as you pray in His power and strength. A prayer you can pray: Lord, I choose to serve You. Forgive me for letting the world glitter in my eyes. Forgive me for thinking I can live any way I want, forgetting the world is watching. Show me how to be a light in the darkness without being religious. Show me how to go into dark places without living like those that are comfortable there. I declare that You have created me to invade the gates of (your area of influence) in prayer and action. I will intercede now with a cleaned-up heart that is grateful and passionate for You to move in this area of society! In Jesus name, amen.
