Fascinating Dream Concerning the Supreme Court
“When they had driven him [Stephen] out of the city, they began stoning him; and the witnesses laid aside their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul. They went on stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said, ‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!’ Then falling on his knees, he cried out with a loud voice, ‘Lord, do not hold this sin against them!’ Having said this, he fell asleep. Saul was in hearty agreement with putting him to death. And on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. Some devout men buried Stephen, and made loud lamentation over him. But Saul began ravaging the church, entering house after house, and dragging off men and women, he would put them in prison.” (Acts 7:58-8:1-3; NASB)
It is important to remember that God can at times turn the hearts spiritually of individuals who oppose Him. It is not that He chooses to turn some people and not others. It is, rather, that some individuals have hardened their hearts to the point that God cannot reach them, whereas others have not. This is easily seen in history through people like Hitler. He became so demonized and deceived that God could not change his evil heart.
The apostle Paul, (formerly Saul) was very deceived, but his heart was still desirous of truth. God was able to turn him around, awakening him to truth and a revelation of Jesus. He had been watching - and many historians believe possibly overseeing - the martyrdom of Stephen. Yet, intercession was probably being made for him, and was certainly being made regarding the persecution of the church, persecution he was helping to lead.
Was Paul impacted by Stephen‘s message? Or by the way Stephen died? We are not told, but I believe he most likely was. Shortly thereafter, Holy Spirit encountered him in a profound way (Acts 9), showing him who Christ really was. The rest, as they say, is history.
Can God do this today? Of course He can, and He will. I have been reminded of this recently by Holy Spirit, and somewhat convicted about failing to remember the possibility. I am thinking specifically of the Supreme Court and other government leaders in America. Paul’s violent and aggressive stance against the church was so intense that many believers were skeptical of his conversion, and afraid to trust him. Yet, his conversion was real and he became a champion for Christ. I believe this will happen in our day.
I was recently sent a dream in which God turned the heart of a Supreme Court Justice (whom I believe should remain unnamed). This was immediately confirmed to me in a profound way. I will share a portion of the dream, without giving names. The dream was given when a team of us were in Washington D.C., praying against the political and religious spirit influencing our nation. The timing of the dream was meant to encourage us that the prayers were effective, and people would now begin to be freed from this stronghold.
It is also significant that although we were in DC, the dream was given to a person in Lubbock Texas, a sanctuary city for the unborn. All involved in the prayer meeting, as well as the person having the dream, were a part of the movement to make Lubbock a sanctuary city for the unborn. This, from the person passing on the dream:
“I had an important dream shared with me just before our team met to pray for those of you on the assignment in Washington D.C.
As we were gathering Tuesday morning (2/22/22), a believer setting up the room for us, told us she had had a strange dream Monday night.
“In the dream, she was waiting for our team to arrive. As we were coming in, she noticed that some were carrying a person. The person was not asleep or injured, but had been overcome by the power of the Holy Spirit. She asked who the person was and was given a name. She recalled that the name was of someone important, but couldn’t place it right off.
“Others on the prayer team walked in with wrapped gifts. Some of us were handing the gifts to this person (who had awakened from her Holy Spirit encounter), and others were carrying more gifts into the meeting room. End of dream.
“When this dreamer awakened she Googled the name and realized the person in the dream was a Supreme Court Justice, one whom we would think of as liberal.
“As a result of the dream, we decreed a turnaround in the Supreme Court and especially for this Justice. We prayed for them to be one of those set free from the religious and political spirit, and overwhelmed by Holy Spirit. (Again, this group was meeting to pray regarding this very thing.)
“We believe the significance of ‘gifts’ coming from a Sanctuary City indicates a gift of change in the Supreme Court, a change that will end the tyranny of death to the unborn in our nation.
“The dreamer used an odd phrase, ‘people mover’ buses to describe the vehicles we came in. We decreed that many people will be moved towards righteousness, holiness, and hope as they are delivered from the political, religious spirit!!”
After reading this dream, which came in a text, I was wondering what to do with it. At the time it was sent, I was reading cards and letters mailed to me from GH15 listeners, catching up. Embarrassingly, I was 2 months behind due to holidays, travel, illnesses, etc. I literally had hundreds to read. IMMEDIATELY, mere seconds after I read the text containing this dream, I pulled out the NEXT card. It was dated from over two months ago, December 18, 2021, and said in part:
“God has burdened me for the Justices regarding the Dobbs abortion vote. I’m praying for each one, but especially for [the Justice named in the dream]. I’m praying for [them] to have a divine turnaround and fulfill their call to lead in righteousness.”
What are the odds that I would pull out and read this card, two months late, immediately after reading this dream about the same Justice?! I can only believe God is saying to pray for them, that He knows their heart can be turned. Conservative Justices have flipped in the past and become liberal. Why should we not expect a liberal-leaning Justice to do so?
Pray with me:
Father, we will not forget to pray for the babies. We bring before You again the Supreme Court Justices of the United States. We are asking You to move in Your powerful way and turn their hearts toward life. We are asking You to make it overwhelmingly clear that Roe versus Wade was decided improperly. And also to awaken them to the evil it has caused in our land.
We pray also for their salvation. Any who do not know You and whose heart can be changed, please do so. Transform them just as You did Paul. If it takes a supernatural encounter such as he had, then we ask You to do that. We pray for their deliverance and for the scales to be removed from their eyes.
We ask this not just for those on the Court but all throughout our government. Bring a revival into the government of America. May thousands of them find Jesus.
We also remember the people of Ukraine. Please end this evil war as quickly as possible. Protect the innocent. Save the lost. Send revival to Ukraine and Russia. Expose corruption and evil leaders. We ask all of this in Christ’s name. Amen.
Our decree:
We decree that salvation is coming to many in our government, and their positions regarding life and morality will change.
