Lightning Strikes “Come, and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days, He will revive us; On the third day, He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight. Let us know; let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.” (Hosea 6:1-3 NKJV) “The Lord reigns; Let the earth rejoice; Let the multitude of isles be glad! Clouds and darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.” (Psalms 97:1-2 NKJV) “Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, ‘Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.’ So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.” (Revelation 14:14-16 NKJV) The above verses speak of revival, clouds, rain, darkness, and reaping. The following dream also speaks of these things. It was given to my friend, Steven Springer, on January 20, 2021, the day Biden was inaugurated. God was showing Steven what He would do in the future. Though many Americans were feeling great devastation, Steven said he woke up from the dream with a sense of hope! Here is the dream: “In the dream, I was taken up over Washington, D.C. It was so cloudy that you could barely see the buildings below. Then lightning struck the top of the White House, and winds began to blow. I saw rain, lightning, and hail coming down from heaven. “As the winds blew, a clarity came across the city. Then one by one, I saw rubber masks coming off people; you could see them for who they actually were; they looked very hideous under the masks. An exposure of all things hidden and masked was occurring. “Then I saw a large broom come down out of heaven and begin to sweep across the entire nation, starting with Washington, D.C. As it swept across the nation, all sorts of evil were revealed and removed. “The cleansing brought awakening! I saw many people getting out of their beds, stretching and yawning, realizing it was daytime! The night was over, and a new day had dawned! “The sweeping continued to go across the nations of the earth. It was being swept clean of corruption and decay, so that awakening could come in a mighty revival and outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The revival brought fire, which burned up the debris left behind by the broom. As the dust settled, the earth looked dark and scorched. But the fire was followed by the outpouring of more rain, and new life began to sprout up everywhere. There was such joy and happiness on people’s faces. Even the land itself seemed to rejoice.” End of dream. Steven shared with me, “Out of the ashes will arise a beautiful church, and incredible revival and reformation, the likes of which the planet has never seen! Our greatest days are at hand.” Numerous prophetic leaders, including myself, have said that God’s agenda for the past 3.5 years has been to expose evil. Americans needed to be made aware of the incredible level of corruption in our government. Few have understood how devious and evil it has become. But the lightning of intercession has struck the White House, God has unmasked corruption, and His broom is sweeping the debris. “He fills His hands with lightning and commands it to strike its mark” (Job 36:32 NIV). “Strike its mark” is the Hebrew word paga,(1) which is the word for intercession. Prayer releases the power, light, and glory of God to strike targets, sometimes releasing blessings, at other times, judgment. “Have you ever seen a tree struck by lightning? If so, you’ve seen a picture of intercession. I pray a lot in a woods nearby. At times, I come across trees struck by lightning. The lightning is so hot, it literally changes the molecular structure of the trees and twists the trunks until they look like the stripes on a candy cane. The temperature in a lightning bolt can reach 30,000 degrees Celsius (45,000 degrees Fahrenheit), hotter than the sun’s surface. That’s hot stuff! And God uses this to picture His judgments!”(2) Keep praying, and keep your seatbelt buckled - He isn’t finished. In this dream, the fire of God brought further cleansing, not only here in America, but throughout the earth. Then, consistent with His redemptive heart, revival rain was released. God’s heart is always to redeem, not destroy. Though the cleansing is well underway, it will take some time to uncover and uproot all of the evil in our government. Many people will need to be replaced; entire departments must be dissolved, and others purged; laws and regulations will be rewritten or eliminated. People will resist this; there will be much screaming over their loss of power. Things will remain turbulent for a while. But remember the end of the dream: there was great joy, happiness, and revival. Even the land itself rejoiced. I close with the words of George Washington in his opening remarks to delegates of the Constitutional Convention on May 25, 1787: “The event is in the Hand of God.”(3) Just as the founding of America was in God’s hand, including the writing of the Constitution, she remains in His hand today. Let’s keep her there. Our prayer today is from King Jehoshaphat, in 2 Chronicles 20: “Lord, God of our fathers, are You not God in the heavens? And are You not ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? Power and might are in Your hand so that no one can stand against You. Did You not, our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land from Your people Israel, and give it to the descendants of Your friend Abraham forever? They have lived in it, and have built You a sanctuary in it for Your name, saying, ‘If disaster comes upon us, the sword, or judgment, or plague, or famine, we will stand before this house and before You (for Your name is in this house), and cry out to You in our distress, and You will hear and save us.’ Now behold, the sons of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, whom You did not allow Israel to invade when they came out of the land of Egypt (for they turned aside from them and did not destroy them), see how they are rewarding us by coming to drive us out from Your possession which You have given us as an inheritance. Our God, will You not judge them? For we are powerless before this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are on You.” (2 Chronicles 20: 6-12 NASB) Our decree: We decree that our prayers are releasing the lightning of God to judge evil, and these prayers are keeping America in the hand of God. Intercessors: Keep “Pushing” President Trump knows it was God who saved his life last Saturday. “God alone” were his words. It certainly was divine protection, which was absolutely generated by the prayers of the church. The following dream was given to Gina Gholston just days before the election of 2020. Most of us assumed - never wise to do so - it was for that time. It seems as though the dream was for now. (I’ll be sharing another such dream in tomorrow’s post.) The dream points out the need to pray for the president; tomorrow’s post points out what God intends to do in the coming season. Here is Gina’s dream: “On October 28, 2020, I dreamed there was a large crowd of people that had gathered around President Donald J. Trump in an attempt to overtake and presumably harm him. Then, I saw a smaller crowd begin to surround him. Along with Dutch Sheets, I pushed a large flatbed cart (like those at home/building supply stores) through the large crowd and positioned it beside President Trump. “Those of us in the smaller crowd helped him get onto the flatbed cart. On the cart was a chair, and the president sat down in the chair. He was holding a replica of the torch on the Statue of Liberty in his right hand, which he held up throughout the entire dream. “Trump was not rattled by the large crowd and their attempts to overtake him. He was very comfortable and completely at ease. Once he was seated in the chair, we positioned ourselves to push the cart forward. Before we began, several from our group took four large old family Bibles and placed them on each corner of the cart. The purpose was to balance and help steady the cart as we moved forward. “We then began pushing the cart; we gained momentum and were moving at a very high rate of speed. Others in the smaller crowd, whom I believe were intercessors, went ahead of us and, working quickly, used brooms to move rocks and other objects that had the potential of causing the cart to tip over if we hit them. “Eventually, as we moved forward, there were not only rocks in the roadway, but also land mines. However, the people continued to clear the way, and the landmines were removed without detonating. We never slowed down or hit a rock or a landmine. The way was cleared perfectly. “We continued pushing the President, who was still seated on the cart, holding the torch in his right hand. I said, ‘We must hurry and get him (the President) “there.” We don’t have a lot of time.’ So, we began pushing at an even higher rate of speed. “Then, out in front of us, we saw what appeared to be a solid rock wall blocking the entire roadway. We all looked at one another, wondering how we would get beyond the wall. But we never stopped moving. “Suddenly, I received a prophetic revelation and said, ‘It’s not real. That wall is not what it appears to be. Keep moving! Just keep going . . . same pace.’ I then said to Donald Trump, ‘Mr. President, hold on, we’re going to keep going!’ “The President then said to us, ‘This is not going to be a piece of cake, but do not stop. You can get me there, and this time, it will be different because now it’s realigned. Everything has been “reset”! It won’t be easy, but you can get me there. If you don’t stop, I will finish my eight years well.’ “We kept moving and arrived at the wall. I said again, ‘Mr. President, hold on!’ Then we hit “the wall,” which was not a solid rock wall at all! It was a thin, glass wall with a mural of a rock wall painted on it. We hit the glass, and it shattered into thousands of pieces. There was a huge mess left from the shattering of the wall, but it didn’t stop us. “When we hit the glass, it was as if we entered some kind of an opening; it looked like the image created by an aircraft as it breaks the sound barrier. We broke the sound barrier! We were then engulfed with a brilliant light. “As we went through that light, we suddenly found ourselves in front of the White House lit up with red, white, and blue. There were long tables set up on the front lawn, decorated for a banquet prepared for us, the President, and his family. “On each table were centerpieces that included small replicas of the Statue of Liberty, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Liberty Bell. These replicas were gifts for each of us to keep as a memorial of this day. Between each centerpiece, red, white, and blue flowers lined down the center of each table. “There was great excitement in each of us as the banquet began.” End of the dream. The dream is self-explanatory. Intercession is clearing the debris from Trump’s path to the White House. However, it is vitally important that we realize this is not really about Donald Trump. I’m not enamored with him, just as I’m not taken with any governmental leader. I honor leaders’ authority and positions, but they hold no celebrity status for me. And I certainly don’t place them on a pedestal. Like all of us, they are flawed, make mistakes, and desperately need the grace of God. As King David showed us quite clearly, even those “after God’s heart” are capable of mistakes. I have repeatedly stated that only God can save America, but we must be continually reminded of it; no person or political party can save America. I enjoy the celebrative atmosphere and most of the speeches at the RNC convention, but I am reminded over and over: determination is good, but not enough. Unity is essential, but not enough. Strategy is critical, but not enough. I am reminded over and over and over again as I listen: Faith in God released in humility before Him must be our number one priority during this time. “He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to WALK HUMBLY with thy God” (Micah 6:8; AKJV; emphasis mine). “Do Justice, Love Mercy, Walk in Humility” - now there’s an unbeatable platform. May it be our banner as intercessors, as we keep “pushing the cart.” Pray with me: Father, our personal righteousness is as filthy rags; that’s why You sent Jesus. Paul said no good thing dwelled in our flesh (Romans 7:18). That’s why he relied on Christ in him, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Even Jesus, when operating in His humanness, relied on You and Holy Spirit to help Him stating, “I can of my own self do nothing” (John 5:19,30). We loudly declare this day that You alone are our hope. You are our strength and salvation. Your mercy seat is where our faith lies, and it is accessed by humility. We humble ourselves before You now to receive Your grace. America has sinned grievously, turning to other gods and rejecting You. As mocking fools, we have maligned You. Cleanse us from our wickedness and deliver us from the wages of our sin. Heal our land and use us again for the world’s salvation through Christ. Protect Trump and Vance, Biden, our members of Congress, our Judges, and our spiritual leaders. Protect us from the terrorists in our land. Expose and foil their plans. And as we shall read of in tomorrow’s post, send revival to this dry and thirsty earth. In Christ’s authority, we pray, amen. Freedom’s Heroes In 2010, I wrote a small book, The Way Back, about forerunning pioneers, challenging American believers to rise up and lead our nation back to God, her purpose, and our once-held greatness. Most of today’s post comes from this book. Pioneers and forerunners are those who explore, prepare, or open up a new way. Sometimes they aren’t finding or opening up a new way, but the way back. Jeremiah 6:16 in The Message Bible tells us, “Go stand at the crossroads and look around.  Ask for directions to the old road, the tried-and-true road. Then take it.” Pioneers initiate; they go first, always ready to try something new. Not only are these way-makers open to change, they insist on it. “There must be a better way” is never far from the thinking of forerunners and pioneers. They’re inventors, explorers, scouts, pathfinders, trailblazers, innovators, change agents, and reformers; the “what if” bunch, the “why” and “why not” folks. They’d rather write history than read it. They’ll rock any boat, buck any system, and go against any flow. The status quo is never safe with a pioneer. Here are a few more identifying traits of pioneers and forerunners: They are often dissatisfied with things as they are, and want to be part of the change. Something deep in their nature comes alive when they hear about making a difference. To them, being “right” is more important than being in the majority. The inconvenience of change bothers them less than the stench of stagnation. Trying—even when they fail—is more appealing to them than risk-free living. They refuse to quit, realizing that setbacks, dead-ends, and failed attempts are just part of the forerunning process. The beaten path doesn’t beckon them; uncharted wilderness does. Playing it safe doesn’t appeal to them; the boredom of the familiar scares them more than fear of the unknown. They are never satisfied with status quo. They have a warrior spirit that would rather fight, even die, than forfeit liberty. As forward thinkers, they would rather advance a cause than maintain a position. Always hungry for change, they can’t ever seem to leave well-enough alone. They want their life to count for more than making money or experiencing pleasure. Making a difference means more than making it big. They would rather die trying, than live trying not to die. They march to the beat of a different drummer... and they often hear a completely different song! Pioneers have become a rare breed in our generation. We’ve seen them in technology, communication, medicine, and transportation. But a large percentage of Americans, and certainly most spiritual leaders, have lost the pioneer spirit that birthed us. Becoming followers and settlers, we seek the comfort and security of the crowd. This taming has created the desire to travel only known paths. And sadly, we’ve lost the desire to be world changers. Deep in the soil of this land, however, is pioneer blood, crying out for a new generation of trailblazers to answer the pioneering call of the wild. This spirit is desperately needed now because America has lost her moral and spiritual bearings, straying from the basic principles that made her great. Truth, integrity, personal and corporate responsibility, self-discipline, biblical morality, and the ideals of our founders—all have been at least partially lost. America needs a new generation of pathfinders, forerunners, and way-makers to arise and lead us back to the old road—our roots. Ironically, the way forward is sometimes behind us. Contrary to what many people believe, “old” is not synonymous with “outdated.” The future must always be built on yesterday’s strong foundation. The Psalmist said, in fact, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3). The church should have been leading America back to her foundations, but Christians seem also to have lost their connection to the pioneer spirit. Deep within the DNA of every believer is the spirit of Christ, the Pioneer of all pioneers, but this nature has been lost in the comfort of conformity, systems of religion, and the slow death of compromise. God, however, is issuing a fresh and powerful invitation to believers: Leave behind the safety and boredom of tame and anemic religion. Abandon the shallow life lived by the all too common narcissistic Christian in America. Overcome the fear of death, loss, and the unknown. Follow Me back to what I birthed 2000 years ago: radical, world-changing, miracle-working, fearless, love-not-your-lives-unto-death, passionate, warrior-hearted pioneers! Heaven waits for a remnant of God-fearing Americans to answer this call and begin a path-finding journey. Earth is waiting, also. Broken hearts, hungry bellies, war-ravaged nations, trafficked humans, and millions of unsaved people— they’re all desperately waiting for a 21st-century breed of pioneers to arise and lead. And these individuals are coming. Perhaps you’re one of them. There is another trait pioneers must have: courage. I recently read an account of American warriors who fought in the battle for Betio Beach during World War II. We’ve all heard of Normandy, Omaha, and Iwo Jima, but few have heard of this beach in the South Pacific. It was imperative that we take it back, but the odds against us doing so were great. The results of the battle were horrific; the hearts of our men were heroic. In his book Looking for America, Douglas Simpson states concerning our soldiers, “Never before in the history of warfare have men been asked to face such withering fire before them with only the cold sea behind to which to retreat.”(1) Knowing the importance of this location, the Japanese hand-picked 6,500 of their finest soldiers and placed them in fortified positions to defend the beach. When the battle began, it was terrible. The firepower cut our men in half. Seventy-five of the 125 landing crafts were destroyed. The waters of the lagoon turned crimson; hundreds of bodies bobbed in the surf, with hundreds more littering the beach. The Marines suffered 3000-plus casualties but still kept attacking. Of those who reached the pier, many did so by walking on the submerged bodies of their fallen comrades! (Reading that brought tears to this warrior's eyes.) By the end of the second day, Colonel Shoup, commander of the Marine landing forces, radioed to headquarters, “Casualties many; percentage dead unknown; combat efficiency—we are winning.” Though the battle was costly, our Marines took the beach. Warriors! Freedom’s heroes!! America saw some heroes and warriors this past Saturday night in Pennsylvania. Trump, of course, displayed his warrior spirit, but others did, as well. Cory Comperatore, who dove on his family, giving his life to protect them, is a heroic warrior. The Secret Service members who dove on Trump, placing themselves between him and any further bullets are, as well. America is filled with courageous warrior-hearted people and they are arising. They’ve heard a sound, and it is calling to something deep within their DNA. This warrior nature is now awakened and will only grow. It cannot be stopped. And for believers, it doesn’t end with patriotic fervor in flag-drapped colliseums. For us, it also surfaces in prayer closets, at altars, and in small clusters of interceding warriors, determined to see “the Lamb who was slain receive the reward of His suffering.” Patriots? Yes, but more than that, we are lovers of Jesus! We carry Old Glory in one hand, an Appeal To Heaven flag in the other. We honor the Constitution; we believe in and live by the Bible. We have put our hand to the plow, and we will not look back. Pray with me: Father, awaken the warrior heart in Your people. This heart loves people, hating only evil. It wars for the soul of its enemies, fights for the deceived, and lays down its life for others. Nevertheless, it is a warrior heart, unyielding in its pursuit of liberty and justice. Break passivity and pacifism off the church. Break off cowardice and complacency. Awaken courage, the pioneer spirit of Christ, and passion. Give us a generation determined to find the old road, though it be overgrown and hidden. It CAN be found, and it WILL be. Thank You for those who have risen up. Thank You for interceding warriors, difference makers, doers. Breathe Your pioneer Spirit into them afresh and anew—Your fire and determination. May they RUN to face the Goliaths of our day. Give us souls; give us nations. We ask in the authority of the Warrior-Christ, amen. The “Mavericks” Are Coming (Part 2) This past Friday night, I ministered with my friend Clay Nash in Independence, Missouri. This was the final stop of a ministry tour Clay and several others conducted based on a dream given to him in March 2022. While there, I became even more convinced of the dream’s significance. I want to share it again today. The dream is about gathering mavericks. A maverick is “an unbranded calf, cow, or steer; a lone dissenter, such as an intellectual, an artist, or a politician, who takes an independent stand apart from their peers; a person pursuing rebellious, even potentially disruptive, policies or ideas.”(1) Here is an abbreviated version of the dream. The Mavericks Dream “The dream began with you, Dutch, creating a thread on Signal titled ‘Gathering the Mavericks.’ You requested those on the thread to meet you in Oregon City, Oregon, at the end of the Oregon Trail. “Upon arrival, you informed us we were there to help gather and drive maverick steers back to Independence, MO, the beginning of the Oregon Trail. You instructed us that the mavericks must be brought to Independence in order to achieve independence. You stated that as we found the watering holes where they were gathered, you would assign individuals to stay there; they would keep other mavericks in the future from muddying up the water holes. “You informed those who joined you in Oregon City that they were assigned certain horses on which to make the journey. The horse you assigned me (Clay) was one I had actually owned, a full Appaloosa named Judge. He had my King Brand saddle on him. Dutch, you were to ride the prettiest Buckskin I ever remember seeing. When I remarked on the strength and beauty of this horse, you informed us that it was a descendant of John Wayne’s favorite horse, Sent, and its name was Messenger. I asked you where the mavericks were, and your answer was, ‘We must find them along the way.’ “The grub wagon was there, packed and ready. Ken Malone pulled you to the side but was within hearing and said, ‘Isn’t that Gordon Lindsay on the grub wagon?’ [Gordon Lindsay founded The Voice of Healing magazine and Christ for the Nations Bible Institute in Dallas, Texas, and died in 1973.] “You answered and said, ‘Yes, but he can still cook food with heavenly nourishment and will bring healing along the way if needed.’ “You began informing us of various watering holes we would be dropped off at along the journey. You did not assign me one, saying, ‘You know about cattle drives, and I need you to scout on the whole journey.’ “We stopped at several watering holes, discovering and gathering mavericks at each; you assigned individuals to stay and protect the watering holes, and we moved on to the next. The 12th and last watering hole was in Independence, MO. When we arrived at Independence, I stated, ‘We must have over 10,000 mavericks.’ “You informed us that there were actually 12,000 mavericks and one ox. You were then asked what we were to do with them. You said that they would be discipled to go forth into the fields that are ripe unto harvest and disciple the nation. Someone asked, “What about the ox.” “You stated to us that the ox’s name was Sign and Wonder, and he would follow the mavericks as they discipled the nation. “Gordon Lindsay then told Dutch that his assignment was finished, but others from the cloud of witnesses would join us as needed.” End of Dream. The Interpretation A company of believers will emerge in the coming days—many of whom are not currently born-again—that will prove to be “mavericks.” Many of them will be young people. These believers will prove to be unique in their strengths and motivations. They are “unbranded” by religion and untamed in many ways; some will seem rebellious. They will be disruptive. But God has great plans for this company. My friend, Pastor Randy Lopshire, said regarding this dream, “I started preaching and prophesying about the mavericks in this dream three years ago, calling them ‘A harvest of harvesters.’ I saw many of them as Gen Z’s and have not yet been born again. But God is priming the pump, and they will know truth when they hear it. They are spiritually allergic to the spirit of religion; God is raising up and developing churches which specialize in receiving people like them.” Here are more of my thoughts: God is saying it is time for the rounding up of these mavericks; we must bring them to “independence.” For many, this will be done by leading them to Christ. For others, it will lead them to independence from the confining systems of religious structures that have tamed their “wild,” zealous desire to change the world. God wants to free them to be those who turn their world upside down. Pray for this to begin and increase; leaders must prepare. Watering holes - God will lead these mavericks to “watering holes” He has prepared for them. These places of nourishment, training, and discipling must be protected from the “muddying” of religiosity, sin, man’s agenda, fear, unbiblical traditions, and more. A horse named Judge, a King Brand saddle, and a scout/prophet, Clay Nash—Jesus is our King, the Supreme Judge, and Prophet; He will be overseeing this roundup as the Lord of the harvest and will lead us in finding the mavericks and watering holes. He is preparing them, even now, and will oversee the maintaining of the watering holes. Horses named Sent and Messenger - This is fairly obvious: we are being sent as messengers to find and lead these mavericks to “independence.” We are also called to “disciple them to go forth into the fields that are ripe unto harvest, and disciple the nation” (Mark 16:15-20; Matthew 28:18-20). We are not called to judge or tame them, but to prepare them for their important assignments. Gordon Lindsay - We must draw from the wisdom, insights, and movements of those who came before us, honoring and building on what they accomplished. One of these movements was the healing and miracle movement of the 1950s, 60s, and early 70s. Gordon Lindsay, a great teacher and author, was one of the leaders of this movement. He published The Voice of Healing magazine, sharing testimonies of the many miracles occurring around our nation and the nations. In the dream, Lindsay was the cook for the workers. We must partake of—eat— this anointing of signs and wonders. Also, the dream told us more from the cloud of witnesses would be sent to us, meaning there are other truths and movements of the past we must build on. The ox - The name of the ox was Sign and Wonder; he would follow this generation as they reaped the harvest and discipled the nation, just as Mark 16:17 tells us will occur. Lindsay said when leaving, that he had finished his assignment. That assignment was 1.) feeding us: we must learn from the past generations, and 2.) giving us the ox, a mantle of signs and wonders he and his generation restored to the church. Twelve watering holes and 12,000 mavericks - Twelve is an important number in Scripture. It represents governing authority, completion, and perfection. There are several possible meanings to this in the dream. It would certainly mean that these mavericks walked in the complete authority of the Lord. The great commission in Matthew 28, which speaks of discipling the nation, references this authority (verse 18). The fact that these mavericks would disciple the nation could also indicate that they would restore our government to its intended purpose and function. Personally, I believe it is both. Get ready for the mavericks. They will stretch the church. There is no box in which they will fit; they won’t accept clichés and methods based on “This is how we have always done it.” They’ll want a true relationship with Jesus, Holy Spirit, and the Father, not religion. They will insist on power—not rituals, traditions, and forms. They will ask why. They’ll want action, not words. They will be lovers of justice. And they will demand change. And they are coming. Pray with me: Father, we know You have significant plans for the coming generation/s. Not only will You save millions of them, You will use them to change the world, just as You did the generation of the 1960s and 70s, which so many thought was hopeless. We ask You to prepare the body of Christ to receive these mavericks. Prepare the watering holes and keep the water clean. Prepare flexible wineskins that can disciple these unbranded warriors. Deliver us from mindsets and ways of thinking that would want to put them in religious boxes. Give us hearts that embrace their wildness, fathering it instead of taming it. And prepare the hearts of the mavericks for the outpouring of Your Spirit. Finish ripening the harvest; prepare, and send the laborers. We pledge to You that we will not lose this harvest. The Assassination Attempt on President Trump As we all now know, a 20-year-old man fired several shots at President Trump during his rally Saturday evening in Pennsylvania, nicking his ear, killing a man who covered his family, and critically wounding two others. This was the first assassination attempt of its kind on a president or presidential candidate since 1981. While the agents on site are being praised by many, obvious and inconceivable breakdowns in Trump’s protection planning are being spoken of, including the fact that the Secret Service detail was terribly undermanned. Investigations will surely follow. Like so many in our nation, the trauma of watching the attempt live left it indelibly imprinted in my mind. I have since watched it replayed dozens of times—I didn’t leave my spot in front of the TV for the next eight hours. I rarely watch Trump’s rallies; I’m very busy and know his positions on the main issues. But for some reason, I was drawn to watch this one. Because of this, I, along with thousands of others were praying immediately. Trump is aware of the supernatural protection he experienced. In a statement on Truth Social, he thanked people for their prayers and said, “It was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening.” Trump displayed his warrior heart as he stood up from the stage floor with a bloody face, shaking his fist and shouting, “Fight!” He reinforced it in the Truth Social post, stating, “We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our faith and defiant in the face of wickedness.” He also voiced his love and prayers for those who were wounded and condolences regarding the man who was killed. If Trump ever questioned God’s hand and destiny on him, he should now be fully assured of it! Melania also released sincere thank you’s, offered condolences, and made an eloquent appeal: “Let us not forget that differing opinions, policy, and political games are inferior to love…ascend above the hate, the vitriol, and the simple-minded ideas that ignite violence.”(1) Since the shooting, there have been hundreds of hours of commentary, thousands of comments from pastors yesterday offering comfort, and millions of prayers lifted to the Lord for peace and healing. What I want to do today is thank you for your prayers and ask you to continue. There is zero doubt in my mind that prayer is why Trump is alive today. Zero. Many had premonitions and warnings from Holy Spirit, myself included, regarding an assassination attempt against Trump, and thousands of people have been praying for his protection. No one group can take credit for this supernatural protection - please don’t fall prey to a proud spirit that wants to take credit, as I have heard some do! What is needed now is deeper humility over America’s sin and rebellion, not pride. God has heard every prayer offered in faith and humility for Trump’s and other leaders’ protection. Your appeal is as important as that of any leader or group of leaders. I also have zero doubt that satan and his pawns plan more unrest and violence. The shaking spoken of by prophets and prophetic intercessors has, without doubt, begun and will continue for a season. Violence, chaos in the Democratic party, exposure of dishonesty, and corruption in our government and media have all gone to new levels, and will continue to do so. Remember that God is not causing this evil! Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV) tells us, “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” God’s mercy will keep the shaking from destroying America, AND He will use it to awaken and clean up our nation. Continue to appeal, and be vigilant with your prayers! Prophets have said the chaos and unrest in America will continue into the spring or summer of 2025. And then it will take several years to fully restore our nation to health and wholeness. I concur. Our sins have been grievous, and the swamp is very, very deep. But it is very important to realize that the turnaround has already begun! Discipline is proof of love! (Hebrews 12:5-11). Don’t confuse the surgeon’s incision with the disease’s destruction. America’s healing process has begun; prayer and humility are the reasons!! Do not stop! The prayers and decrees of the Ekklesia are bringing the Kingdom authority and will of God to America, just as Jesus said in Matthew 6:10! The great wisdom of God is being manifested to principalities and powers through His Ekklesia, as He declared in Ephesians 3:10. The Ekklesia Jesus promised He would build is arising (Matthew 16:18-19). You are part of this spiritual army, this spiritual government. You’re one of Christ’s ambassadors here on earth. Your decree matters; your appeal moves God’s heart. He has found a willing people in the day of His power; like the dew of the morning, we cover the earth (Psalm 110:3). Like David’s mighty men, we can run through a troop and leap over a wall (Psalm 18:29). We are those Isaiah saw who mount up with wings like eagles, run without growing weary, walk without fainting (Isaiah 40:31). And like the early church in Acts, we will turn our world “upside down” (Acts 17:6). In my book Intercessory Prayer, I share the following story: “John Killinger tells about an interesting method used in the past to break a wild steed by harnessing it to a burro. The powerful steed would take off across the range, twisting and bucking, causing the burro to be wildly tossed about. What a sight! The steed would run away, pulling the burro alongside, and they would drop out of sight—sometimes for days. Then, one day, they would return with the proud little burro in charge. The steed had worn himself out, fighting the presence of the burro. When he became too tired to fight anymore, the burro assumed the leader position. And that’s the way it is many times with prayer. Victory goes to the persistent, not to the angry; to the dedicated, not to those who can demonstrate great emotion and energy. We need committed, determined, systematic prayer, not once in a while fireworks.”(2) That’s what we’re doing, and what we shall continue to do. Pray with me: Father, we thank You for protecting Donald Trump from this assassination attempt. We pray for the recovery of those who were wounded and for comfort to the family of the hero who lost his life. We pray that You would continue to protect Presidents Trump and Biden and their families. We also pray this for our leaders in Congress and on the Supreme Court. (Take a few minutes and pray for leaders in your state: governors, legislators, judges, mayors, etc.) Use this experience to draw President Trump closer to You, Father. I have always believed that at some point, he would have a profound encounter with You, that You would fill him with Your Spirit and bring him into a close relationship with You. Let this be that time. In the coming days and years, may the White House become a place where You are welcomed, loved, worshiped, and honored daily. May the fragrance of worship and intercession arise from those grounds. Let this be part of the healing for our great land. And we will never stop asking for and declaring that revival is coming to our nation: a Third Great Awakening. You are coming to redeem and reform America. We will return to the God of our fathers and mothers, and we will accomplish Your purposes for us. America shall be saved! The Unseen Realm The Lord prepared me for the 50-State Tour in several significant ways. One of the most important was by teaching me a principle He called “connecting heaven and earth.” I wrote about it in Releasing the Prophetic Destiny of a Nation. Here is a portion of that chapter: “‘While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are NOT SEEN; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are NOT SEEN are eternal.’ (2 Corinthians 4:18 NASB) “‘For we walk by faith, NOT BY SIGHT’ (2 Corinthians 5:7 NASB) “‘Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things NOT SEEN.’ (Hebrews 11:1 NASB 1995) “There is a relatively unknown dimension that must be understood in order to fully partner with God and experience the fullness of His blessings. It is the unseen realm of the spirit - invisible yet real, hidden yet very active. Much of what happens on earth is influenced by this realm; certainly anything of eternal significance, or which controls the destinies of people and nations is controlled from there. “Most people, including Christians, give little thought to this unseen world, though it governs the one we see. Many individuals, especially in cultures such as ours which emphasize higher levels of education and intellectualism, are actually cynical of this arena of invisible activity. However, the Bible is filled with descriptions and accounts of this dimension; in fact, it is the primary story of the Bible, for the Bible is about God. Indeed, apart from this invisible realm, there is no God, satan, angels, demons, fall of humankind, birth of Christ, redemption through the cross, miracles, or the resurrection of the dead. Yet surprisingly, most Christians live their lives giving very little thought to how much this realm affects them, let alone how they can influence it. “Yet here is an important and inescapable truth: The more we learn to function in the invisible realm of the spirit, recognizing and applying the principles that govern it, the more we can partner with God, positively impact our world, avoid the snares and influence of the evil one, and enjoy the blessings of our salvation. Doing business for the Lord in this invisible arena was the primary purpose of our 50-State Tour. “A clear biblical example of the invisible realm controlling the natural is found in Second Kings 6:8-23. The king of Aram sent an army to kill Elisha. When Elisha and his servant woke up in the morning, a great army had surrounded them. ‘Alas, my master!’ cried the servant. ‘What shall we do?’ “Elisha, enabled by the Holy Spirit to see into the spirit realm, responded that those on his side were more numerable than his enemies. He then prayed that the eyes of his servant would be opened to see into this spiritual dimension, and God answered his prayer. The servant saw a mighty host of angelic forces, which, at the request of Elisha, proceeded to strike the enemies with temporary blindness. An invisible realm was controlling what occurred in the visible. “There is great activity, including spiritual warfare, taking place around us in the invisible realm of the spirit all the time. And the key to an overcoming life, partnering with God, and certainly to receiving spiritual breakthrough, is learning to operate in this arena. We often do so without realizing it as we worship, quote Scripture, preach the gospel, pray and fast, do acts of kindness, and perform many other spiritual activities. However, most haven’t learned to intentionally operate in this realm. “Just before the Tour began, God had been trying to give me a higher level of understanding concerning this spiritual dimension. On one occasion, while studying the subject, I felt impressed to read the five references to ‘heavenly places’ in Ephesians, without reading the in-between verses. What I found was a fascinating sequence sounding like one unbroken passage. Here are the five verses together: “‘Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ…which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places...and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus…so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places...For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places’ (Ephesians 1:3,20; 2:6; 3:10; 6:12 NASB 1995). “Taken together, these power-packed verses reveal important truths about operating in this invisible realm of the spirit. First, the Lord informs us that we have been given everything needed to operate in this arena. He then states that Christ has been positioned there with all authority, and we have been seated there with Him, sharing in this authority. This is followed by a declaration that we, the Church, will manifest God’s great wisdom to the opposing forces operating there. And finally, in the last reference, Holy Spirit identifies these invisible forces. “Shortly thereafter, Holy Spirit gave me a final lesson and reminder concerning the importance of operating in this invisible realm. We had actually begun the Tour and were at our second stop, the state of Oklahoma. Chuck was at the podium and when prophesying, spoke of God opening a door. I immediately began wondering what the natural occurrence might be and what natural door might open. In other words, I was envisioning something occurring in the natural realm that would create an open door of opportunity. I actually pictured in my mind a door opening. “Instantly, I heard Holy Spirit say, ‘There you go again.’ Being the intelligent person I am, I immediately discerned that I had messed up! ‘The door I’m opening is not a physical or natural occurrence,’ He said. ‘It is a spiritual occurrence and door - in the invisible realm, the heavens. You must learn to go through the spiritual door up there, before you’ll be able to go through the natural door down here.’ “Just as Holy Spirit said this to me, Chuck stated, ‘Let’s bring Dutch up to speak now.’ Then he hesitated. ‘No,’ he said, ‘before he comes up, I need to share one more verse, Revelation 4:1 (NKJV). It reads, “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, ‘Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.’” Now, Dutch, come and share.’ “I was blown away. Holy Spirit then spoke to me one more time, ‘I'm trying to teach you to move into the heavenly realm in your thinking, listening, praying, and decreeing in order to partner with Me there. If you will learn to do this, as I stated in Ephesians, you will connect Heaven and earth.’ “What an interesting phrase - ‘connecting heaven and earth,’ I thought. "The Lord concluded by saying, ‘This will give you the results you’re seeking: realignment, restoration, the healing of nations, and the release of My glory.’ Holy Spirit wants to teach all of us to connect heaven and earth. Ask Him for greater revelation in this regard. Let’s do so now. Pray with me: Father, we believe in You, though we cannot see You; Your handiwork, proving Your existence, is all around us. We believe in the supernatural, Holy Spirit and His power, angels, and that we are seated positionally with Christ in the heavenly realm. We also believe satan and his demons are real. We ask for greater awareness and understanding of this invisible realm. Remind us of the incredible influence it has over the natural, visible realm we can see and touch. Teach us to operate more effectively in this dimension, thereby connecting heaven and earth. We know You want to open doors for us in this spiritual realm, giving us access to blessings, provision, and revelation in the natural realm. You also want to open and close doors through us in this realm. Help us to understand how to do this more effectively. Teach us to arrest the powers of darkness working against our children, families, cities, nations, and, yes, ourselves. Give us greater discernment as watchmen, in order to recognize their activities, so we are not taken advantage of. And teach us to work more effectively with Holy Spirit. We ask for these things in Yeshua’s name. Our decree: We decree that we will look not only at that which is seen, but also at the unseen and eternal, according to 2 Corinthians 4:18. The Lord gave Gina Gholston two dreams that have to do with God relighting the fire of His presence in the church, preparing us for what He is about to do. As always, you’ll find Gina’s dreams edifying and instructive. The title of today’s post is: Let the Fire Burn Recently, the Lord reminded me of a dream I had in 2022, which I feel is important to revisit. I will only share a few highlights from the dream: I was sitting next to a campfire with another minister. While stirring the embers around the edge of the fire with a long stick, he began to prophesy. “There’s a redemptive sound coming that will provoke a redemptive movement. Referring to this movement, he said, “It’s NOT a light thing! It’s weighty, and it will come forcefully. Hell has tried to stop it, but they won’t! They can’t!” He then lifted a large rock above his head and dropped it into the middle of the fire, causing embers and sparks to fly out in every direction. Very emphatically, he said, “That is what the redemptive movement will be like once the sound is released. It will come hard and fast, and it will cause a response. There will be an instant breaking loose - a redemption. The Lord is going to redeem the Church, and He is going to redeem the nation!” INTERPRETATION Among other things, the word redeem can mean, “to renew; to bring back to a former or original state.” I feel this dream describes what we are now beginning to experience. The “Rock,” Christ Jesus, is coming to reclaim what belongs to Him - His Church, and the nations His Father gave Him as an inheritance. The nations may rage, and there are those who plot vain things, but He Who sits in the heavens is releasing the “sound” of His laughter (Psalm 2). Jesus, our Rock and Redeemer, has come to produce a movement that will change everything! Christ built the Church to be a strong representation of Himself, against which the gates of hell could not prevail. He made us to be a glorious Church, filled with and operating in the power of His Spirit. We are called to carry His fire and be clothed with His glory, to reveal His awesome might! Now, He’s bringing the Church back into alignment with His original intentions, renewing us to be those fiery “embers.” He will work through us to initiate revival, impacting America and the nations with His power and the reality of who He is! ANOTHER DREAM I had another fascinating dream that speaks to this. It was long and detailed, so I will only share the ending: I was with a group of people that was being shown how the plan of God had moved through the generations. Each generation had assignments for their time, enabling the movement to continue into the future. Throughout the dream a lady accompanied us, explaining the details we were seeing. At the end of the dream, the wind suddenly began to blow. Our guide became very excited and exclaimed, “The wind is blowing again! Hold out the embers you carry! Let them be reignited in the wind!” The wind intensified. As could only happen in a dream, each of us reached inside ourselves and pulled out an ember. As we held our embers out in front of us, the wind began to reignite them. Each ember quickly became a blazing fire, hot in our hands, but still we held it! We were determined not to allow the flame to fall to the ground and be extinguished, knowing they were necessary for our generation’s part of the plan. Then, seamstresses with measuring tapes began measuring each of us. I asked our guide the purpose of this and she replied, “You’re each being fitted for the garments you will wear in the coming days.” Then she said, “And your time…starts…NOW!” It is time for our generation to fulfill our assignment on God’s great timeline. He is restoring and reigniting us to be the Church Jesus intends us to be, unlocking our purpose for this time. The Lord once said to me, “I am awakening that which is in My Church! There are seeds of purpose I have placed in them that are necessary for this moment, but those seeds have been overshadowed by their emotions. It’s time for the seeds to mature and produce the fruit of My intended purposes! “There’s an unlocking anointing being released from the Light of My Glory! My Light will penetrate and remove the shadow being cast by those emotions, and this anointing will unlock My seeds of purpose! The unlocking of the seeds will relieve the pressure surrounding their minds. They will take deep breaths in My presence, feel My life and vitality rush into them, empowering them to run with the purpose I am unlocking!” We must receive this anointing. It will free us from confinements, allowing us to humbly and confidently walk with God in the fullness of His intentions for our lives. We each have an important purpose for the overall function of Christ’s Body. There are no big or little parts - every part matters to God! We don’t have to fully understand all of His plans, but we must do our part. We are in a defining moment, a turning point, and God is calling the Ekklesia to deeper revelations and experiences with Him. This will equip us to be carriers of His fire and glory. The wind is blowing again. Hold out your ember! The Lord has come to reignite in us what is necessary for this time. Allow His fire to burn, no matter the cost, so that with undeniable signs, wonders, and miracles He makes Himself known. The “redemptive movement” has begun; and though hell opposes it, this movement cannot be stopped! Pray with me: Father, though it may seem to some that there is no hope for the redemption of our nation, You still reign, and Your plan of the ages has not diminished. You have said that America shall be saved, and You have not altered Your intentions. Release the redemptive sound that will stir and awaken the Church, bringing us back into alignment with Your original plans. As You remove the shadow of “confining emotions,” we will be free to run with Your purposes. We step into the wind of Your Spirit, and by faith, hold out our embers to be reignited. Shine with the light of Your transforming glory, and impact our nation with the reality of Jesus! We continue to pray protection over our families and leaders. Protect Trump, Biden and their families from harm. Protect those in Congress, and the Supreme Court Justices. Thwart every plan to harm them. Expose terrorist cells in our nation and thwart their plans, as well. We ask all this in Jesus’ name. Amen. Our decree: The redemptive movement has begun, and hell cannot stop it! The Unraveling Intensifies The most corrupt group of people ever assembled in America has been perpetrating the greatest national hoax and crime in her history. The Democrat Party, Deep State, some members of Congress and the Judicial system, and the Media have worked together to frame their political opponents, place a cognitively challenged man in the Presidency, and run the nation with a shadow government. It has been fascinating to watch many of these complicit liars now try and save face, acting surprised at Biden’s mental condition. They all knew. Truth, legalities, decency, mercy - none of these things matter to this power-hungry group of Obamanites determined to stay in power and transform America. Nor do the lives of the children they have destroyed, the thousands of people that are trafficked, the hundreds of thousands who have died due to the fentanyl highway they created at the border, or the thousands of terrorists that have no doubt entered our nation and are now waiting to earn their 72 virgins. All that matters to this conscience-seared company of criminals is power and control. But…Holy Spirit has a vote. The Unraveling While thinking about this evil several months ago (February 28, to be exact), I heard Holy Spirit say, “It is all coming unraveled.” I was surprised when I looked up the Greek word for “unraveled” and discovered that it was analusis,(1) which comes from the root word, luo.(2) This piqued my interest because I knew luo was translated as “destroy” in 1 John 3:8: “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” The word luo has both legal and physical meanings; this verse is no doubt referring to its legal connotation: to pronounce or determine that something or someone is no longer bound; to dissolve or void a contract or anything that legally binds.(3) Placing these definitions into the verse, Jesus came to dissolve the legal hold satan had over humankind; to pronounce that we were no longer bound by him and his works; to void the contract, ending his dominion over us. There is another relevant passage in which luo is used: Matthew 16:18-19. After making the all-important announcement that He was going to build an Ekklesia (governing body) here on earth, Jesus continued in verse 19: “I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven, and whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you shall loose [luo] on earth shall be loosed [luo] in heaven.” In interpreting these two verses, the obvious question is: If Christ luo-ed satan’s hold over us at the Cross, and He did, why would the church also have to luo satan’s activities? The answer is two-fold: 1) because satan is a thief and trespasser. The fact that he no longer has a legal right to steal, kill, and destroy does not mean he will not continue to do so if allowed. And 2) God’s plan is to work on earth through His family, the body of Christ. We must enforce Christ’s victory through the authority of His name and with Holy Spirit’s power. We do not have to re-defeat satan, but we must enforce his defeat. As I pondered all of this back in February, I heard Holy Spirit say, “As the church has been releasing Christ’s authority, binding and loosing [luo-ing] the plans of satan in America, it has enabled Me to unravel [analusis] and expose his plans.” The next day, February 29, I wrote in the GH15 post: “God is, indeed, exposing satan’s schemes and plans. Americans are beginning to see just how corrupt our government has become. They see the two-tiered system of justice. They are observing the insanity of plans to remove our borders, destroy our families and children, distort our history, and steal our nation. They see the dishonesty and deceit. They are coming to grips with the disheartening and horrifying truth that for many of our leaders, votes and power mean more than the lives of the American people. The corruption is all being unraveled, enabling the American people to understand what is truly happening. The truth is painful, but necessary. And throughout this year, 2024, the process will intensify. The revelations will be amplified, and Americans will not like what they see. “This is all part of God’s deliverance process. America is receiving her MRI. That which is hidden on the inside is being revealed, and the level of revelation will increase. We asked for this, and it is occurring, exposing the cancer of sin eating away at the life of our nation. “Keep praying. Do as Jesus instructed us in Matthew 16:18-19: bind the plans of the enemy; loose, dissolve, untie, unravel his evil schemes. Do as He instructed us in Matthew 6:10—command His Kingdom rule into our land, His will to be done. Ask Christ to pour out His Spirit, bringing life to America’s dry bones and healing our land. Ask Him for revival, the great ingathering, and the transformation of our nation. Yes, grieve over what Holy Spirit is exposing, but don’t be discouraged as you witness it. Be encouraged that we are getting a proper diagnosis in order to receive the cure. “Don’t allow the shaking to shake you. Determine to keep praying and standing in faith that America shall be saved. Decree it daily. Your prayers are saving our nation and releasing salvation to a billion people around the world. Never stop.” Pray with me: Father, thank You for answering our prayers by exposing and revealing our nation’s true condition, even though it is painful and grievous to see. We ask You to continue unraveling the evil structures and plans. Show us where satan has entrenched himself in our nation; reveal his schemes; enlighten us to what must be repented of. Root out evil at all levels. Go deep. We loose this through Jesus’ authority. Even as we pray against the evil, we ask for the salvation of those who are deceived and partnering with the evil one. Help us to remember that You love the lost, Your mercy is great, and just how powerful a cleansing agent is the blood of Jesus. Keep us from the sins of pride and stone-throwing. Deliver those who are deceived and walking in darkness; open their eyes to truth and the gospel; soften hard hearts. Do these things here and around the world. We also pray again today for the protection of our family members and our leaders. Destroy every scheme to take their lives, and expose every deceitful plan to assassinate their character. We pray for Donald Trump’s protection from physical harm and judicial injustice. Turn it all for good. We pray for the protection of our water resources and structures, and for protection from all forms of terrorism. And we ask for the great spiritual harvest. Your plans are on schedule. You change the times and seasons (Daniel 2:21), and You know exactly when to do so. You know when to stop shaking and start saving, when to tear down and when to build up. We trust You. Releasing the Prophetic Destiny of a Nation Paul had a thorn in the flesh that plagued him for years of his life. No one knows for sure what it might have been. I was born with a thorn in the flesh – my elder brother Tim. From my earliest days, I have had to endure hardship from him as he took my lunch money, bullied me, teased me, and always blamed me when the two of us got into trouble. Now, I find myself having to correct his flawed messages and lack of discernment. Undaunted, I have allowed this to make me a better person. In the 1980s, God decided this thorn was insufficient, so he brought another into my life: Chuck Pierce. This thorn grew until it reached fullness on our 50-State Tour. No one had ever interrupted my messages to insert their prophetic words and insights until he came along. The first time he did so at our first state, New Mexico, Chuck gave me no warning. Unbeknownst to me, he had asked for a microphone to keep with him on the front row while I spoke, and for it to be left on so he could control when it was live or muted. I was under a heavy anointing in my message, making a brilliant point, when Chuck felt led to prophesy. He did not wave at me, stand up and wait for me to finish my point, or give any other warning; he simply turned his mic on and, from his seat, began to prophesy. At first it scared me half to death, then euphoria flooded me for a second as I thought God was speaking from heaven, endorsing my brilliance. Shock and confusion quickly followed as I realized it was Chuck. “If you must help me make my points,” I pleaded after the service, “just give me some kind of warning.” This type of unpredictable interruption continued for over a year, in all 50 states. ACTUALLY… Tim, of course, needs no help from me, and Chuck’s prophesying has never been an interruption. Like many of you, I feast on Tim’s books and messages, and am thoroughly excited when Chuck stands to prophesy during one of my messages. (Yes, he does now stand to warn me.) On the tour, he correctly prophesied Saddam Hussein’s capture would occur within the week, the uncovering of a terrorist cell in Tampa, and dozens of other significant events. The 50-State Tour stretched us immensely, as Holy Spirit made it clear we were not to simply draw from previous teachings for the states, but hear what He was saying to them specifically and deliver only that. (It was a bit harder for me than Chuck, whom I think prophesies in his sleep.) When finished, we compiled the key points given to every state, added pertinent history from each, wrote a few general chapters for context and insight, and put it all in a book: Releasing the Prophetic Destiny of a Nation. The book has since become a handbook for thousands of intercessors across the nation. When our publishers, Destiny Image, were considering a new release of the book last year, they suggested we add a couple of chapters from Tim to further equip the reader as they pray. “Why not?” I thought. “I’ve endured one or both of these thorns all my life.” “Sure,” I said with a smile, “that’s a great idea!” And it was. Tim’s added insights were tremendous, giving greater depth and revelation to the book. Though it contains over 500 pages of strategic information, only the first 150 are teachings; the remaining 350 pages summarize what Holy Spirit spoke to each state. Obviously, this section need not be fully read; just find your state’s summary, prophetic words, declarations - and pray accordingly. There is also a list of powerful biblical decrees for you and your prayer group to utilize. Here is a short excerpt from the book: “I had one more significant encounter with the Lord that prepared me for this [tour] ‘ride.’ It occurred in October 2000, just before the national presidential elections. During a Wednesday night service, I walked to the podium to begin a message when a strange feeling began to overtake me. I paused, trying to discern what was happening, and within seconds, I was weeping uncontrollably as God began to impart to me His heart for America. I did not feel anger, though I’m sure we as a nation have angered Him, but instead, I felt His great love—the kind of love a father might feel for a prodigal child. “I began to weep so hard that I could not regain my composure. Someone else closed the service, everyone went home, and I was left alone. For three and a half hours, I wept over America—so hard at times that I was afraid I was injuring myself. I felt as though my heart was literally breaking. I did not know one could cry from so deep a place inside. “Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four-year-old child whose next-door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman’s yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, ‘Nothing, I just helped him cry.’(1) “For three and a half hours that night, I helped God cry.”(2) SADDAM’S CAPTURE The meetings in each state were powerful. Some were more difficult than others to hear the word of the Lord, but all who were present pressed in, and we were able to hear. Our meeting in Texas stands out to me, probably because of what occurred later that week. During my message, I prophesied that Texas was a prophetic state, and that things would be birthed there for the entire nation. At that time, we were at war with Iraq. As I spoke, God took Chuck into the heavenly realm, and Holy Spirit told him, “I am going to tell you why you are here. Do not think; just go and decree what I tell you.” So he jumped up from his seat to prophesy, coming to the platform this time. Chuck prophesied: “There is strength in this state to turn the battle at the gate. Allow your strength to rise up…the heavens are opening tonight, and revelation is beginning to pour out.” Then Chuck said Holy Spirit showed him a nest of snake eggs and began prophesying again, “There are four snake eggs that are lying wait, and from this state, I am giving you the power tonight to crush those snake eggs. I would even say to you in this state tonight, you will be able to decree to Babylon, and that strongman that has not been found will now be found in the next seven days.” Because of other things being said, prayed, and prophesied, we knew the “strongman” was Saddam Hussein. Chuck handed the mic to me with a look that said, “I can’t believe I just said that! Do something!” My first thought was, “Why are you handing me the mic? You got us into this situation, you get us out.” But it was too late—I had the mic, and everyone was looking at me. I did the only thing I knew to do - pray. Then, we had several others pray, including a soldier from the 4th Infantry Division stationed in San Antonio. Three days later, Chuck called me at 4:00 AM and said, “Wake up and turn on your TV; they’re not going to stone us. Saddam was just captured.” Indeed, troops from the 4th Infantry Division had pulled him from a hole in the ground. Love those prophetic interruptions. (This entire story is shared in the book.) Pray with me: Father, thank You for apostolic and prophetic leaders like Tim and Chuck. We pray for them now - that they prosper more and more in their callings, as well as their personal lives. Thank You for publishers like Destiny Image who boldly publish Your prophetic words to the body of Christ. And thank You for the prayer army You have raised up. We ask for increased revelation to the church. Use this book as part of that process; may it bring You glory. Take the praying Ekklesia to greater levels of understanding Your will and ways so we can partner with You in even greater measure. You said there would come a time on earth when knowledge would increase (Daniel 12:4); surely we are in that time. Let this increase occur regarding our knowledge of You and Your ways. Empower us with this greater understanding to win, shift, and disciple nations. Pour out wisdom and manifest it through us, even to principalities and powers in the heavens (Ephesians 3:10). Don’t Grow Cynical I’ve always enjoyed the satirical humor of Mark Twain. This was a pen name, of course, and came from his days as a riverboat pilot on the Mississippi River. “Twain studied the Mississippi, learning its landmarks, how to navigate its currents effectively, and how to read the river and its constantly shifting channels, reefs, submerged snags, and rocks… Piloting also gave Twain his pen name from ‘mark twain,’ the leadsman’s cry for a measured river depth of two fathoms (12 feet), which was safe water for a steamboat.”(1) One of my all-time favorite quotes of Twain is his account of the n’re-say-die optimist fighting a man of superior size, strength, and skill. The unyielding optimist said, “Thrusting my nose firmly between his teeth, I threw him heavily to the ground on top of me.”(2) Ya gotta love it! Regarding the often byzantine, tortuous, and discombobulated world of politics, Twain once said, “Politicians and diapers must be changed often, and for the same reason.”(3) To be fair, there are adults in our government; it’s just that those in diapers are so self-serving, misguided, dishonest, and smelly that they often give bad names to all. And sadly, the rankness drives many people away from the political process. Don’t fall into this trap; stay engaged in the governmental process. The coming great awakening won’t eliminate bad politicians, but it will place adults in the majority. And though the nature of a democratic republic means that, at times, our vote comes down to “who comes the closest to my values” - not to our ideal candidate - disengaging from the process actually helps elect the person furthest from our values. I’ve never quite understood the logic of choosing that option. In politics, an all or nothing approach will lead to nothing. Revival IS coming. I have stated for almost 40 years, since the end of the Reagan era, that the only hope for fully recovering America’s greatness is in a Third Great Awakening. I could see that humanists, secularists, and progressives were already too entrenched in our government and education system to stop them through human effort alone. Though the insane fruit of their movement was not yet fully developed - we weren’t cutting off the breasts and genitalia of kids yet - the seeds had been sown. And dirty diapered politicians and educators were now in charge of the garden. Twain also said, “Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were a member of Congress, but I repeat myself.”(4) In today’s world, we would add “liberal professors” and “progressive presidents of universities” to the quote. Perhaps even “Supreme Court justices who admit to not knowing the difference between male and female” should be included. Once again, I should qualify my cynical comments: there ARE many wise, non-woke-but-fully-awake, leaders and educators in our nation. They just don’t scream as loudly or capture our attention with smelly diapers. Yes, we need revival. If we think we can heal and reform America with elections, laws, education, and yes, meaningful and uplifting church services alone, we are very deceived. Only a heart-level transformation - a rebirth - in millions of Americans can deliver us from our insanity. “Then why be involved in the crazy world of government and other aspects of a sinful culture?” you might ask. 1) Because we CAN make a difference; and 2) because we MUST prepare and position ourselves to reform (disciple) our and other nations (Matthew 28:18-20) when awakening (Mark 16:15-20) creates the possibility. Don’t give up, and don’t go to sleep. Don’t waver in your faith, and don’t grow so cynical that you empower evil by disengaging. Remember that we are God’s method, His partners and ambassadors on earth. Remember that our all-knowing God said one of the reasons we “have not” is because we ask not, (James 4:2-3). Yes, He knows what He wants to do and how to do it - but He said we still must ask. The church’s lack of involvement in awakening and discipling nations has often been caused by bad theology, and has cost us much. Many theologically challenged believers actually want things to get worse and worse on earth, including America, believing this will get us out of here more quickly. Others have bought into the lie that God being sovereign means He is controlling everything that occurs on earth. Therefore, He must want things to unravel, or is at least okay with it. When and if He wants to send revival, He will. So much for God not wanting any to perish (2 Peter 3:9). It’s amazing how often we Christians’ religious beliefs exonerate us from responsibility. The key to an awakening is an awakened church! The key to a reformation is a reformed church! Heaven’s plan is typically that a revived remnant is used to revive the church, which is used to revive a nation - all through the power and authority of a willing God. Revival doesn’t occur when God “gets ready” or “finally decides” to do so. It occurs when He has been able to get free-willed people ready. Harvests must be ripe. “Fullnesses of time” don’t arrive based on divine whims and moods; they are the end of seasons wherein God has brought human beings to times of awareness and hunger. Our prayers are used to generate this. We appeal because it is what God said to do, and it works! We ARE appealing and He IS listening. We also decree. He is speaking, we are declaring His words, Holy Spirit is empowering them, and angels are performing them. This is all moving us toward a rending of the heavens and an abundance of rain (Isaiah 64:1; 1 Kings 18:41). Persevere! Pray with me: Father, You are waking up the church to our responsibility. Many around the world are responding to the urgency You are conveying to their spirits, including many in the American church. Help us to maintain an appropriate balance of knowing only You can heal and transform America, yet You do so through the church: our involvement, our prayers, our Spirit-led decrees. America has been devastated by allowing the unrighteous to rule our land, a devastation as great as that of any nation in history. Our collapse has been shocking and tragic. But we know dry bones can live, and You have said America shall be saved. We have decided to say what You say: America shall be saved! As we move toward another great fullness of time, we rely on Holy Spirit’s leading to instruct and guide us. As we do, we will be the Spirit-led sons and daughters You spoke of in Romans 8, those who devastated portions of earth are anxiously awaiting. May we be that people! Give us greater sensitivity, allow us to experience greater oneness with Your heart, and release greater and greater power from Holy Spirit within us. All of this we ask in Yeshua’s name, amen. Today’s Heroes Two hundred forty-eight years ago, on July 2, 1776, the Second Continental Congress passed the Resolution for Independence, declaring the freedom of America’s 13 colonies from Great Britain. Two days later, on July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence, which officially announced and explained the case for independence, was approved. On Wednesday, July 3rd, the day after the resolution, John Adams sent the following message to Abigail: “The second day of July, 1776, will be a memorable epocha in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations, as the great Anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp, shews, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations, from one end of the continent to the other, from this time forward forever. “You will think me transported [ecstatic] with enthusiasm; but I am not. I am well aware of the toil, and blood, and treasure, that it will cost us to maintain this declaration, and support and defend these states. Yet, through all the gloom, I can see the rays of light and glory; I can see that the end is more than worth all the means, and that posterity will triumph, although you and I may rue, which I hope we shall not.”(1) Adam’s was spot on, though celebration day turned out to be the 4th, the day the Declaration of Independence was formally approved. Tomorrow, we will celebrate just as he predicted. He was also right about the blood, toil, and treasure it would cost to maintain the declaration. Then, and down through history, many have paid the ultimate price for what you and I will celebrate tomorrow. Washington, when addressing his troops regarding the imminent War of Independence, stated with sobriety: “The time is now near at hand which must probably determine whether Americans are to be freemen or slaves; whether they are to have any property they can call their own; whether their houses and farms are to be pillaged and destroyed, and themselves consigned to a state of wretchedness from which no human efforts will deliver them. “The fate of unborn millions will now depend, under God, on the courage of this army. Our cruel and unrelenting enemy leaves us only the choice of brave resistance, or the most abject submission. We have, therefore, to resolve to conquer or die.”(2) Washington, too, it seems, was prophetic when he said, “The fate of unborn millions…will depend on the courage of this army.” Fast forward 168 years to Normandy, France, and the deciding battle of WW II, known as D-Day. This bloody and horrific battle turned the tide against Hitler’s evil plans. Pvt. Charles Neighbor said of that day, “As our boat touched sand and the ramp went down, I became a visitor to Hell.”(3) Pointe Du Hoc Pointe du Hoc is a prominent cliff on the coast of Normandy. It was a strategic point heavily fortified by the Germans. The United States Army Ranger Assault Group scaled the cliffs under intense enemy fire to capture and secure the location. At the 40th Anniversary of the D-Day Ceremony Pointe du Hoc, Normandy, France, on June 6, 1984, President Ronald Reagan gave a powerful speech entitled “The Boys of Pointe du Hoc”: “We’re here to mark that day in history when the Allied peoples joined in battle to reclaim this continent to liberty. For four long years, much of Europe had been under a terrible shadow. Free nations had fallen, Jews cried out in the camps, and millions cried out for liberation. Europe was enslaved, and the world prayed for its rescue. Here in Normandy, the rescue began. Here, the Allies stood and fought against tyranny in a giant undertaking unparalleled in human history. “We stand on a lonely, windswept point on the northern shore of France. The air is soft, but forty years ago at this moment, the air was dense with smoke, and the cries of men, and the air was filled with the crack of rifle fire and the roar of cannon. At dawn, on the morning of the 6th of June 1944, 225 Rangers jumped off the British landing craft and ran to the bottom of these cliffs. “Their mission was one of the most difficult and daring of the invasion: to climb these sheer and desolate cliffs and take out the enemy guns. The Allies had been told that some of the mightiest of these guns were here, and they would be trained on the beaches to stop the Allied advance. “The Rangers looked up and saw the enemy soldiers - at the edge of the cliffs shooting down at them with machine guns and throwing grenades. And the American Rangers began to climb. They shot rope ladders over the face of these cliffs and began to pull themselves up. When one Ranger fell, another would take his place. When one rope was cut, a Ranger would grab another and begin his climb again. They climbed, shot back, and held their footing. Soon, one by one, the Rangers pulled themselves over the top, and in seizing the firm land at the top of these cliffs, they began to seize back the continent of Europe. Two hundred and twenty-five came here. After two days of fighting only ninety could still bear arms. “Behind me is a memorial that symbolizes the Ranger daggers that were thrust into the top of these cliffs. And before me are the men who put them there. “These are the boys of Pointe du Hoc. These are the men who took the cliffs. These are the champions who helped free a continent. These are the heroes who helped end a war. “Gentlemen, I look at you and I think of the words of Stephen Spender's poem. You are men who in your ‘lives fought for life...and left the vivid air signed with your honor…’ “Forty summers have passed since the battle that you fought here. You were young the day you took these cliffs; some of you were hardly more than boys, with the deepest joys of life before you. Yet you risked everything here; why? Why did you do it? What compelled you to put aside the instinct for self-preservation and risk your lives to take these cliffs? What inspired all the men of the armies that met here? We look at you, and somehow, we know the answer. It was faith and belief; it was loyalty and love. “The men of Normandy had faith that what they were doing was right, faith that they fought for all humanity, faith that a just God would grant them mercy on this beachhead or on the next. It was the deep knowledge - and I pray God we have not lost it - that there is a profound moral difference between the use of force for liberation and the use of force for conquest. You were here to liberate, not to conquer, and so you and those others did not doubt your cause. And you were right not to doubt. “You all knew that some things are worth dying for. One’s country is worth dying for, and democracy is worth dying for, because it’s the most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man. All of you loved liberty. All of you were willing to fight tyranny, and you knew the people of your countries were behind you. “You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.”(4) On her 248th birthday, America faces another war for her freedom. This war is ideological, but no less consequential. Liberty and the salvation of millions depend on the courage of the spiritual army called the church, the Ekklesia. Intercessors are today’s heroes; your prayers can turn the tide. Like the boys at Normandy, we fight to liberate; and we, too, believe in our cause. With God as our help, as surely as we celebrate liberty on July 4 and victory over tyranny on June 6, we will one day celebrate victory over this attempt to destroy America and delay God’s great harvest. Pray with me: Father, You had great plans for America, and still do. We have given more to the spreading of the gospel than any nation. We have also given more to humanitarian causes than any other nation. Yet, we have lost our way and, like the prodigal, squandered our inheritance and forsaken our destiny. Thank You for the fresh start You have promised. Continue to orchestrate this turnaround and a new beginning. We know that the fate of untold millions still hangs in the balance. We will not relent in our prayers and efforts until we see complete victory. Refresh and refire Your intercessors this week. And Father, You told us to pray for those in authority; we do so again today. We ask for protection for President Biden, leaders in Congress, and Supreme Court Justices. We especially pray for President Trump, who is so hated. We ask that You keep the hatred of him from resulting in physical harm. We also ask this for the family members and staff of these leaders. Expose EVERY plan, and bring the plan/s to nothing. Keep the watchmen engaged. In Jesus’ name, amen. Make Your Life Count This is a week that allows and, indeed, encourages nostalgia. We remember our nation’s birth, our Founders, great documents, and great leaders. Today, I want to use some thoughts and writings from a great contemporary leader and author, Quin Sherrer. Quin is a true mother in the faith, and one to whom I owe a great debt of honor. Had it not been for her efforts, it is quite possible that I would not be writing GH15 posts today, and that I would not have written any of my 20-plus books. Quin says of her Holy Spirit inspired “goading” of me to write: “It was my privilege to encourage Dutch to finish [the] book he had gone to Colorado to write. I’d give him notebooks all the time – one for his car, one for his nightstand, one for his pocket, one for his office, one to take to the mountain cabin hideaway. I prayed diligently for his book to come forth and encouraged him to finish.”(1) “Encourage” is a nice way of saying it. When Quin has heard from the Lord regarding something, she grabs it like a bulldog with a bone. I had attempted to write a few times and failed miserably; it wasn’t time, and God had not yet awakened the gift. This caused me to doubt my abilities. However, Quin believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. And she not only encouraged me - with 500 notebooks! - she took me on as a prayer assignment. Thank God for Quin Sherrer. Quin was born in 1933, the worst year of the Great Depression, when unemployment was 25%, food shortages abounded, and wage earners averaged about $20 weekly. In her amazing book, Pondering My Journey, Quin said of that year, “You could rent a house for $18 a month…bread cost seven cents, and a gallon of gas ten cents.” (She’s OLD!) “Franklin D. Roosevelt had become president of the United States, and Adolf Hitler, the chancellor of Germany, opened the first concentration camp in Dachau.”(2) In this wonderful book filled with pearls of wisdom, Quin enlightens us with many lessons from her 90 years on earth. She speaks of miracles she has either witnessed or experienced, what God has taught her in both the good times and the bad, and of perspectives for life that come from a life well lived. Here’s the story of Quin receiving her first miracle, which will encourage your faith for a miracle: “At age 16, I had no idea that God’s miracle gifts mentioned in the gospels were still available for Christians. But the Lord had a big surprise for me, though I did not know I would be the recipient of one of His blessings. “That summer after I finished tenth grade, I attended my church’s youth retreat held at a large beach house sitting right on the sand dunes beside the Gulf of Mexico - about an hour from our home. “On the third day, I was feeling sick and running a fever. Mother came and took me home. Our small town did not have a hospital. The doctor said I had malaria, and he ordered quinine for me, but that did not seem to help much. I lay in bed for four more days. I guess I went in and out of consciousness, as I did not seem to respond to anyone… “We lived in the small hotel that my mother managed. She had a great kitchen staff who cooked for our boarders and guests. One day, the head “Cook” — we called her that— told Mother about a “Holy Ghost Revival” she was attending at night. She said that the visiting “faith healers” even prayed for sick people, and they were healed. “Since I had not shown improvement, Mother asked her to see if the evangelists holding the meetings would come to pray over me. “One afternoon, as I lay semi-conscious on my bed in the hotel, I suddenly opened my eyes. A Black man and woman, both dressed in all white clothing, were leaning over me, shouting, ‘Be healed in Jesus’ name! In Jesus’ name, be healed and get up!’ Were they angels? I certainly thought I had died and gone to heaven. “Suddenly, I was fully awake. Lying in my bed. Healed. Surprised. Recognizing things around me. They had anointed my head with oil and prayed some Scripture prayers of faith aloud, I later learned… “While my introduction to a miracle healing happened when I was 16, too many years passed before I fully recognized that God still performs wonders and miracles… “Years later, I attended large healing crusades and saw people miraculously healed. I even went to two packed-out meetings conducted by Kathryn Kuhlman and saw miracles for myself when she prayed for Jesus to touch them. One of my Houston friends attended one of Miss Kuhlman’s meetings. At 45, she was given a few weeks to live due to cervical cancer, but Jesus healed her, and she lived another 53 years! She recently stepped into glory just a few weeks shy of age 99.”(3) Quin was always ready to share her faith and pray, even on airplanes: “Another time, while waiting to board an airplane, I had a lively conversation about the Lord with a professional basketball player sitting beside me. He kept talking enthusiastically about his praying grandmother. I gave him one of my books on prayer as we began to make our way onto the plane. “I took my aisle seat while he made his way further back. We’d been in the air a while when the airline attendant serving snacks whispered to me, ‘When I am through serving, would you pray for me?’ “‘Of course I will. Be glad to. But why did you ask me specifically?’ I replied. “‘The man sitting back there is engrossed reading a book. When I asked what he was reading, he said it was about prayer and that you wrote it.’ “Later she came back and knelt in the aisle beside me. It only looked like we were talking to each other - but I was talking to God, asking Him to solve her difficult situation.”(4) That’s Quin. You may want to read this powerful book and others authored by this amazing lady. You’ll be glad if you do. But I share these thoughts today not just to honor a great lady, but to remind you to make your life count. You may never write a book, but your life is writing a story. Make sure to dot your i’s and cross your t’s. Pray with me (from Quin’s book): Lord, thank You for seeing us through uncertain times - for protecting us and for opening doors of opportunities for us to use our skills. We are grateful for those who defend our nation and grateful too, when wars end. We thank You for the way You have guided us through our many decisions. Thank You that You have plans for our individual lives and You will help us accomplish them. Father, thank You for arranging encounters with some people with whom our lives have connected but are often unplanned. When these amazing events happen, I am surprised but most grateful. I praise You for such serendipities in my life. And Lord, thank You for sustaining us from our birth to our eventual passing - all those in-between years we have been privileged to live. Help us run our race well. Thank You for the crown of righteousness that awaits us when we meet You. Help us leave footprints of faith for our descendants to follow.
