You Can Make a Difference
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by people. ‘You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.’” (Matthew 5:13-15 NASB)
Sad to say, most Christians make very little impact on the world around them. Most never even consider the possibility. They are content with impacting their own private world by generating income, caring for their own, and perhaps building for their own future. Making it big, or even just making ends meet, motivates them. Making a difference is nowhere in the equation.
This is one reason the world is in such a mess. Those whom God ordained to be salt and light have lost their savor and hidden the light. This has happened for various reasons: 1) selfish ambition certainly controls some; 2) many have never been trained and challenged to think that they can make the world a better place; 3) far too many have a skewed understanding of the sovereignty of God, believing “if He wants to change things, He’ll do so,” and there are certainly other reasons. The last group mentioned - the “leave it up to God” segment - has no understanding of the partnership God intended with His earthly family. Sadly, “the mass of men lead lives of quiet abdication.” (I know Thoreau is probably turning over in his grave!)
Another significant reason, however, why many believers do very little to change the world around them isn’t selfishness, bad theology, or abdication of responsibility. They simply aren’t afforded many opportunities beyond praying, donating money, or, when it comes to impacting the culture around them, voting. These activities are certainly important, but I have very good news for those who want to do more. And it’s easy.
Awakening Your Fellow Believer
Shockingly, approximately half of evangelicals aren’t registered to vote, and half of those who are still don’t vote. This is mind-boggling. It is an accepted fact that if all evangelical Christians voted and did so according to biblical values, we could control every national election, positioning godly, Bible-believing leaders in office. This means that in one election cycle, Christians could initiate radical change in our nation. Today, I’m sharing how you can help! Thousands of you who watch Give Him 15 participated in this effort a few years ago and helped make it successful. Here is an opportunity to do so again.

Who would have thought that a person could sit at his or her desk or kitchen table and save babies, protect the future of children, end human trafficking, stop antisemitism, keep Communism out of America, ward off globalism, protect our borders, stop billions of dollars in fraud, end the voices of America-haters, and save our republic. But you can.

Father, we thank You for the awakening occurring in the body of Christ. The sleeping giant is stirring. Make the alarm clock louder and louder. Make it impossible for Christians in America to silence the alarm or override it with other activities and thoughts.
Our hearts, though breaking over many issues, are filled with faith that You are changing things dramatically. The conscience of a nation is being brought back to life. The heart of a complacent and passive church is, and will continue to be, awakened. Thank You for Your grace and Your mercy.
And Father, as believers awaken from complacency and lethargy, motivate them to action. Give organizations like Write Now America great success and participation as they implement creative ideas. Lead many people to participate in their efforts. Use this to give righteous candidates success in their elections.
Thank You for turning this nation around. We are very grateful that You did not give up on America. And since You didn’t, we won’t. Your verdict has been rendered: America shall be saved! So be it. And we, Your family, will do our part to see this occur. In Christ’s name, we pray this. Amen.

We declare that we, the church, will involve ourselves at every level and in all facets of government, releasing the authority and blessing of God into the earth through our prayers and actions.
