Prayer for the Teachers
“The quality of the teacher has a huge impact on how much students learn. One study found that ‘good teachers have an extraordinarily powerful impact on the future lives of their students. Symmetrically, the researchers show the lasting damage that poor teachers have on the lives of their students.’ Furthermore, students who get the best teachers learn a lot and students who get the worst teachers fall behind. This study found that teachers matter most in producing educational results; more than class size, the curriculum, or the amount of money spent per student.”1
“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure and full of quiet gentleness. Then it is peace-loving and courteous. It allows discussion and is willing to yield to others; it is full of mercy and good deeds. It is wholehearted and straightforward and sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of goodness.” (James 3:17-18; TLB)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
Pray for every teacher you know and especially for the teacher(s) your child(ren) will have this school year, if you know who they will be.
Ask the Lord to give those teachers the wisdom of God, even if they do not know Him yet.
Pray that their skill to teach would be touched by the sovereign hand of God and that they teach with an anointing that gives each student exactly what they need. Believe for classroom miracles as the teachers instruct!
Pray that your child(ren) will be salt and light in the classroom and even bring a teacher or more to the Lord this school year.
A prayer you can pray:
“We bless our teachers in the name of the Lord and ask for divine health and Your abundant blessing on their families and finances and most of all that they would know and serve You! Holy Spirit, You are the ultimate Teacher, we invite You into our classrooms to lead students and teachers alike ‘into all truth.’ Father, we pray for every teacher with a true calling from You to be an educator. We cry out for a fresh anointing for our teachers – that they would be supernaturally empowered to achieve results far beyond their natural skills!”1 In Jesus’ name, amen.
Today’s decree:
We decree the exact right pairing of teachers with our Christian children, so that they may thrive!
