INTRODUCTION Since I recorded today’s post on Friday before leaving for the Healing Summit, I am not able to give a report. I will do so over the coming days. Today, I’m excited to be reading a portion from Ché Ahn’s new book, entitled Blueprints for Transformation: Bringing Revival and Reformation to the Nations . At the beginning of this year, I stated that we were moving into revival and reformation and that I would share a good bit on these subjects throughout the year. The timing of this book’s release could not be more appropriate. In the foreword, I call this book a “masterpiece,” and it truly is. I concluded the foreword by saying, “The greatest expansion of God’s Kingdom on earth has begun. Blueprints for Transformation is one of its textbooks! Without a doubt, this is one of the most important books of our time.” The title of today’s excerpt is: FROM REVIVAL TO REFORMATION In the mid-1990s, our church, Harvest Rock Church in Pasadena, CA, entered an unprecedented season of God’s glory being manifested in our midst. For six months straight, children in our church, including my daughters, regularly saw angels during our meetings. It was as if heaven had descended on us. Extraordinary healings took place. People smelled the fragrance of heaven, and there were many other manifestations of God’s glory. I loved each and every testimony that we witnessed. Through these experiences, I reached this conclusion: This is what God’s glory is—heaven coming to earth! The Prayer of Reformation: Heaven on Earth After those supernatural encounters, I felt led by the Holy Spirit to study the biblical theme of heaven on earth. In that season, I discovered an extremely important truth that had been in the Disciple’s Prayer (commonly called “the Lord’s Prayer”) all along. In Matthew 6:10, Jesus instructs His disciples to decree these words in prayer: “Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven . ” This is a revival prayer! For the past 2,000 years, the church has been praying for the kingdom of heaven—the rule and reign of God—to be established and manifested on earth. In essence, we have been praying for Revival with a capital “R.” But this is also a prayer for reformation. And it’s not only for us individually or for our families; it’s a prayer for our nations. The more I delved into the reality of seeing heaven on earth, the verse that really gripped me was Psalm 89:14 (NKJV), where the psalmist declares, “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and truth go before Your face.” In praying the Disciple’s Prayer and meditating on Psalm 89:14, I learned that we are actually praying for God’s righteousness, God’s justice, God’s love, and God’s truth to invade our lives and permeate society. “Heaven on earth” is asking God to invade the earth. Yes, with supernatural salvations, healings, and deliverance—the revival component of His kingdom—but also with His attributes of righteousness, justice, love, and truth, which bring reformation to earth as it is in heaven. For that is what heaven looks like. Revival and Reformation: A Third Great Awakening Since the events of 2020, I have been sharing that we are living in an extraordinary time of global shaking and greater glory. From the onset of the COVID-19 lockdowns to skyrocketing inflation, the extreme progressive Left agenda, and escalating global conflicts everywhere we look, all the nations of the globe have gone through an unprecedented time of shaking. The following ancient biblical prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes: “‘I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ declares the Lord of hosts. ‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and in this place I will give peace,’ declares the Lord of hosts.” (Haggai 2:7–9, NASB1995) God is using the darkness we are witnessing today as a backdrop for the great light of revival and reformation to break out. In my 50-plus years of walking with Jesus, I have never seen such a stark contrast between the darkness covering the nations and the greater glory of God being revealed, as Isaiah had prophesied centuries ago. “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” (Isaiah 60:1–3, NASB1995) I believe with all my heart that we are entering into a Third Great Awakening, which will encompass both the darkness getting darker and the light getting brighter. I define a Great Awakening as a national revival and reformation of society. In this case, the revival and reformation will spread throughout the world to other nations. In 2024, I had the privilege of speaking at two campuses of Gereja Bethel Indonesia (GBI). Under the able leadership of Senior Pastor Niko Njotorahardjo, GBI has 1,200 campuses and a combined membership of 300,000. While numbers alone don’t signify revival, this is a body of Spirit-filled, on-fire believers who are making a difference in their society. Indonesia is now 35 percent born-again believers.(1) To put that in context, despite being the world’s largest Muslim nation, Indonesia has some of the world’s largest churches! The move of the Holy Spirit is truly turning the tide in this island nation. Other places experiencing genuine revival range from Brazil and Latin America to Nigeria, India, China, and the underground church throughout the Middle East. My friends Rolland and Heidi Baker are transforming Mozambique, another Muslim nation, through Iris Ministries. The World Christian Database (WCD), one of the most authoritative sources on religious statistics, offers invaluable reference materials on all parts of the world. Its figures on China are particularly startling. According to the WCD, the country’s Christian population exploded from under 1 million in 1970 to around 120 million today. That’s over 9 percent of the country’s entire population, and the number of believers is expected to grow to 220 million by 2050. (2) If these numbers are even close to accurate, it would make the story of Chinese Christianity probably the greatest harvest in church history—and that is just one nation. Tens of thousands of souls are being born again every day, primarily in the Global South. God is on the move like never before! Pray with me: Father, as we move into worldwide revival and reformation, we decree again as You instructed us: Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. As Ché informs us, this is a prayer, not only for revival but for reformation. We also pray Psalm 89:14, asking for Your righteousness, justice, love, and truth to invade our lives, nation, and the nations of the world. We know the earth is ripe for this outpouring. You have and will continue to shake the nations in order to create further readiness for this great revival and reformation. You said You would fill the earth with Your glory, and we ask for this now. We declare Isaiah 60:1-3, that Your light has come and Your glory is rising upon us. Nations will come to this light, and kings to its brightness. Continue to pour out Your Spirit in Indonesia, Brazil, Iran, China and elsewhere. But we also ask for a great expansion into other nations of the earth. And we ask for the preparation in the church to continue, as Ché’s book so powerfully addresses. We ask this in Christ’s name, amen. Our decree: We decree that we will move with Holy Spirit into earth’s greatest revival and reformation. (Since the GH15 posts have to be written and recorded the previous workday, the President had obviously not yet given his March 4th address to Congress when this was prepared. I will comment on his speech on all my platforms later today.) Times That Expose Men’s Souls I have quoted from Thomas Paine’s essay, “The American Crisis,” on previous Give Him 15 posts. I think of it often and read it occasionally, finding it inspiring - as did Washington’s army in the Revolutionary War. In an article published by History.com , Missy Sullivan gives us background on this famous essay, and why it was so important. In it she says: “On December 19, 1776, Thomas Paine publishes the essay ‘The American Crisis,’ a shot in the arm to Patriots during a particularly difficult stretch of the American Revolution. “…General George Washington’s troops were encamped at McKonkey’s Ferry on the Delaware River opposite Trenton, New Jersey. In August, they had suffered humiliating defeats and lost New York City to British troops. Between September and December, 11,000 American volunteers gave up the fight and returned to their families. General Washington could foresee the destiny of a rebellion without an army if the rest of his men returned home when their service contracts expired on December 31. He knew that without an upswing in morale and a significant victory, the American Revolution would come to a swift and humiliating end. “Thomas Paine was similarly astute. His Common Sense was the clarion call that began the revolution. As Washington’s troops retreated from New York through New Jersey, Paine again rose to the challenge of literary warfare. With American Crisis, he delivered the words that would salvage the revolution. “Washington commanded that the freshly printed pamphlet be read aloud to his dispirited men; the rousing prose had its intended effect. Reciting Paine’s impassioned words, the beleaguered troops mustered their remaining hopes for victory and crossed the icy Delaware River to defeat hungover Hessians on Christmas night and on January 2, the British army’s best general, Earl Cornwallis, at the Battle of Princeton…” (1) This essay and the subsequent victories saved the effort for America’s freedom. Here is Paine’s opening of “The American Crisis”: “These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands [by] it now deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated.” (2) Earlier in 1776 before the war began, in his pamphlet “Common Sense,” Paine said: “The cause of America is in a great measure the cause of all mankind.” (3) When making this statement, he was speaking of the cause of freedom from tyranny, the God-given right of all people to liberty and justice. I believe this statement is true, but I also believe “the cause of America” at her founding was more than just natural liberty and justice, as basic and important as that is. History has proven that God had another overriding cause for raising up America: the spiritual freedom of humankind through the redemption provided by His Son, Jesus Christ. The propagation of the gospel is every believer’s responsibility, but it is also a national calling on America. Partnering with God in this greatest of causes is a tremendous privilege, a humbling and sobering assignment. It is not the assignment of America’s government to preach the gospel; it is the church’s assignment. It is our government’s responsibility to preserve the rights, liberties, and security that make the fulfillment of this calling possible. Natural governments should secure natura l liberty, the church proclaims and secures spiritual liberty. Trump and other conservative leaders certainly cannot save America spiritually, but they can make decisions that allow God to do so. Their actions can release God’s blessings and stop the efforts of leaders who align with evil agendas. Natural government cannot bind and loose spiritual powers, but it can enforce the fruit after the church does. And the Scriptures tell us a nation rejoices when natural government fulfills its God-given purpose (Proverbs 29:2). We must continue to pray that this natural and spiritual partnership occurs, and does so at higher levels. God has been and will continue to honor these prayers, blessing the righteous and exposing the corrupt. These present times “that try men’s souls,” will also be the times that expose men’s souls. God drew His line in the sand, some have crossed it, and the files are now being opened. Those who have refused to believe that God possesses the most authoritative gavel in all of creation, will soon hear its deafening sound. Some have interpreted His delay as indifference, others have even taken it as proof that He doesn’t exist. It was, actually, an offer of mercy. Now, the cup of iniquity is full and the reaping will begin. God will allow nothing to stop the coming harvest here in America and around the world. Nothing. Persevere, praying church. Take your place in history. You are God’s instruments, His channels, His voice. Be loud in the spirit. Call forth His righteous rule and the harvest of the ages. Pray with me: Father, I pray today for the praying Ekklesia, those who faithfully pick up the sword and intercede for America and the nations. You are using them to shape history. Their prayers release the gospel, salvations, Holy Spirit power, and miracles (Acts 4:29-31). Their prayers release manifestations of Your Kingdom and generate Your will on earth (Matthew 6.10). They release the rain of revival (Zechariah 10:1). Keep them reminded of this. Remind all of those who regularly pray for these things of the unspeakable honor of partnering with You to see Your will accomplished. And regarding our nation, we took our eyes off the prize, the honor of this partnership, and squandered our inheritance, just like the prodigal son in Scripture. We have now found ourselves feeding on husks meant for swine and bathing in mud. Many of our government leaders have reached the “fool” and “reprobate” status You spoke of in Romans 1:18-32. The times in which we live have exposed their depraved souls. Our culture became demonized, feeding on filth, and casting off all restraint (Proverbs 29:18 ESV). Expose and remove the masks, uncover the files. In Your great mercy redeem the humble; in Your power crush those who resist You, just as You promised in Psalm 2. And Father, we confess that much of the church became conformed to the world (Romans 12:1-2), rather than enlightening and preserving society (Matthew 5:13-14); and we agreed to be muzzled (Acts 4:18). But You have awakened many. We ask for this to continue. Bring sleepless nights to spiritual leaders who have abandoned truth. Haunt their dreams, awaken their consciences, restore passion, and relight the flames of their first love. Send revival. We appeal for the real thing, nothing less than genuine world-changing revival. Do it here and around the world. Millions are perishing without You; change this! All of this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Savior of the world. Our decree: We decree that we will persevere in the righteous cause of changing the heavens…to change the earth. - I Believe In Miracles—And They Are Happening Again!
April 4, 2025 Introduction One of our favorite guest contributors for Give Him 15 is our friend Cheryl Sacks. Just the other day, Cheryl sent us a timely word that I feel is appropriate for me to share today, the day of the Healing Summit in Ohio. You will be encouraged and inspired by her words. Join us tonight by livestream and believe for YOUR healing. Today’s title is: I Believe in Miracles—And They Are Happening Again! In Dutch’s recent Give Him 15 posts, he spoke of a mighty wave of God’s glory that is beginning to roll in—a wave of healing, deliverance, and salvation. He reminded us that on the Hebrew calendar, we are in the month of Nisan , which is historically marked by miracles. (Read The Month of Miracles GH15 post here) Those in my generation have lived through seasons of extraordinary supernatural activity—things our children and grandchildren have yet to see, but I am confident they will . We remember ambulances pulling up to healing crusades, people near death carried in on stretchers—and walking out healed and whole. We saw limbs grow out and, in some cases, entirely new limbs where there had been none before. My husband, Hal, and I witnessed such miracles firsthand. When the Power of God Fell One unforgettable night, Hal took his mom to a Kathryn Kuhlman crusade at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. What happened that evening was far more than a story about a healing evangelist—it was a glimpse into how God’s power can move through anyone willing to believe that He still performs miracles today. Hal’s mother suffered pain from a disintegrated disc. She also experienced chronic complications after having part of her colon surgically removed. Hal went to the meeting in faith, believing God would heal his mom—but also believing for something even more impossible: the healing of his sister Merrily. At the time, Merrily was in a catatonic state, locked in a padded cell at Camarillo State Mental Hospital. While touring with the rock band Jefferson Airplane, she became addicted to drugs and deeply entangled in the occult. Her mind was shattered, and demons tormented her. Hal had brought an item of her clothing with him that night, standing in proxy for her deliverance (see Acts 19:12). The service had barely begun when Kathryn pointed to the balcony—right to the spot where Hal and his mother were sitting. “I see the most unusual healing power hovering right there over the balcony,” she declared. “I’ve never seen anything like it!” At that moment, something like electricity surged through Hal’s body. “It felt like I was plugged into a 220-volt socket,” he later told me. Immediately, he turned and prayed for his mom. She twisted and turned in her seat. No pain. Instantly healed. She jumped to her feet and ran toward the platform to tell Kathryn what the Lord had done. Hal sat there awestruck, thinking, “Wait . . . Mom could barely walk into this building!” Weeks later, when Hal’s mom returned to her doctor—who was Jewish—he was in disbelief. Not only was the disintegrated disc regenerated, but X-rays revealed that the inches of colon previously removed had somehow been restored. “This can’t be,” he said, studying the scans. But he couldn’t deny what the X-rays confirmed. The Messiah he didn’t believe in had clearly done what medicine could not. Back in the auditorium, the Spirit of God was still moving. Hal noticed the woman next to him—elderly, wearing large hearing aids. Her husband explained that even with the devices, she could barely hear a word. Hal laid his hands on her ears and prayed. After a few seconds, Hal asked her to remove her hearing aids and turn away from him. He whispered, “Say, ‘Praise the Lord.’” “Praise the Lord,” she responded. “Say, ‘Jesus healed me.’” “Jesus healed me . . . Oh my God, I can hear!” she screamed, bursting into tears. But the Lord wasn’t finished. Remembering his sister, Hal held the piece of Merrily’s clothing in his hands and prayed for a miracle. The next morning, Hal’s mother received a call from Merrily’s doctor. His voice was trembling. “Mrs. Sacks . . . I wonder if you can shed some light on something that just happened. I’m really shaken.” As he did every day, the doctor had walked into Merrily’s room and said, “Hello, Merrily. How are you doing this morning?” For months, there had been no response—just a blank stare. But that morning, Merrily looked him in the eyes and said, “I’m fine, doctor. Jesus came into my room last night and healed me!” There was no other explanation. It was a documented miracle. One week later, Merrily was released—healed, restored, and completely in her right mind. A Living Room Healing Meanwhile, halfway across the country, I was a young high school teacher living in Dallas during the height of the Charismatic Renewal. Everyone in my circles was reading the Bible—believing it and doing what it said. My roommate, Ruth, had her car stolen, and was riding the city bus to work. She evangelized everyone who would listen, often bringing total strangers home to our apartment for prayer. One day, Ruth stopped by the 7-Eleven and asked the cashier how he was doing. He told her he had cancer and was scheduled for surgery the following week. Without hesitation, she said, “Come over to our apartment on your break. My roommate and I will pray for you, and you’ll be healed.” An hour later, I walked into our living room to find a complete stranger on our couch. When I heard we were about to pray for a man with cancer, I gulped. But I laid my hands on his head and prayed for the power of God to come into his body and burn out the cancer. While doubts feverishly danced in my head, a spirit of faith rose inside me. I declared he was healed! A few weeks later, Ruth saw the man again at the 7-Eleven. He was beaming. “When I went in for my pre-op appointment, I told the doctor to do another X-ray,” he said. “‘You won’t find a thing,’ I told him.” Sure enough, the doctor came back amazed. “How did you know?” “Well,” the man replied, “two really good friends of mine prayed, and God healed me.” Faith Wears Shoes I heard another story that beautifully illustrates how God’s miraculous power is manifested in the most practical ways. A mother with five children couldn’t afford new shoes. She bought one pair for each child, always a couple sizes too big, hoping they would last two years. But one daughter’s shoes arrived at least two sizes too small—and there was no way to return them. The mother brought the shoes to a healing service and asked the pastor to pray over them. Moved with compassion, he was about to offer her money for a new pair—but the Lord interrupted him. “No,” God said. “She came believing Me for a miracle.” The girl tried to put the shoes on, but they wouldn’t fit. So the pastor prayed. This time, the shoes slid on perfectly. Not only did they fit—they lasted three years. (1) The Wave Is Rising This same wave of healing, deliverance, and salvation is building again. And this time, God isn’t just releasing it through a few anointed individuals. He’s moving through ordinary believers—people like you and me who dare to believe! You don’t need a stage. You don’t need a title. You just need to be willing to step out in faith and obedience. God will do the rest. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you (Romans 8:11). Miracles are happening again. And they can happen through you. Pray with me: Lord, we thank You that Your healing power is being poured out in this hour. As healing meetings are convened this month, awaken Your people to believe again. Use not just leaders—but every willing believer—to carry Your glory. Let miracles flow in living rooms, churches, streets, and schools. Our decree: We decree that we will step into this wave with boldness and fearless obedience. And we decree that our children—and our children’s children—will see God’s mighty wonders with their own eyes and carry His miraculous power to their generation! - Don't Be Taken Advantage Of
April 2, 2025 Our ignorance of satan and his tactics, as well as how to deal with them, can be costly. Second Corinthians 2:11 tells us, “In order that no advantage be taken of us by satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.” The context of this verse is forgiveness – unforgiveness allows satan to take advantage of us – but Paul is obviously stating the content of this verse as a general principle: ignorance of satan’s schemes gives him an advantage, just as it does any foe. Let’s analyze this principle more thoroughly. The word “ignorant” is the Greek word agnoeo . Not surprisingly, it means literally “without knowledge or understanding of.” (1) It may surprise you, however, that our English word “agnostic” is derived from it. Technically, an agnostic is not a person who is unsure if they believe in God, though we now use it this way. An agnostic is a person who does not know or understand, regardless of the subject. We also get our word “ignore” from the same root. In this verse, we’re urged not to ignore or be an agnostic – without understanding – where the actions of the devil are concerned. “Schemes” is the word noema ; it literally means “thought.” (2) Does that surprise you? The verse is essentially saying, “Don’t be without understanding of the way satan thinks.” Noema is also used for “plans, schemes, plots, devices” because these things are products of and originate in our thoughts. For greater insight, let's insert all these definitions into the verse: “Don’t ignore or be without understanding of the way your enemy thinks and operates – of his plans, plots, schemes and devices.” Is there not also a subtle promise in this warning? If God suggests we are not to be ignorant of satan’s schemes, He must be willing to reveal them to us. What happens when we are unaware of these schemes? It gives satan an opportunity to take “advantage” of us. This word is pleonekteo , a compound Greek word meaning literally “to have or hold the greater portion” ( pleon – “the greater part”; echo - “have or hold”) (3) . The word can be used for both positive and negative actions. It is easy to see why this is a word for “covet,” which is a strong desire to possess a greater portion of something. (4) The word also means “overreach.” In boxing, the person with the longer reach has an “advantage” and usually lands more blows. The word is also translated as “make a gain”; we use the concept when we speak of “gaining ground.” Bullinger’s outstanding Greek lexicon says that in a negative sense, it means “to make a prey of; to defraud.” (5) Let’s add these definitions to the former, putting them together into an amplification of this verse: “To the degree we are ignorant of the way our adversary thinks and operates – his plans, plots, schemes and devices – to that degree he will take advantage, gain ground, land punches, prey on, defraud us of what is ours, and have or hold the greater portion.” Not good! The greater portion of what? Whatever! Our homes, marriages, families, communities, money, government, nation, and more. Fifty years ago, Americans, including the church, were without understanding of what satan was planning, and he took the greatest portion of our schools. This, of course, allowed him to prey on the minds of a generation, gaining ground in his attempt to take over our nation. The same could be said of our government. Distorting the Establishment Clause of the Constitution’s First Amendment, satan schemed to remove God’s influence from government and the public square. Through our ignorance, he took the larger portion. Sadly, we have discovered that it is much easier to maintain something than it is to take it back . Paul actually said in 1 Thessalonians 2:18 that satan occasionally made some gains on him in the ongoing war over spreading the gospel: “For we wanted to come to you – I, Paul, more than once – and yet satan thwarted us.” We know Paul won more battles than he lost, but he wasn’t perfect, and at times, satan succeeded in thwarting his plans. Please notice it doesn’t say God changed His mind about Paul going to Thessalonica. It clearly says that satan hindered him. Those people who would have us think satan can do nothing except what God allows, and that we should therefore ignore him, should reread these two verses in 2 Corinthians and 1 Thessalonians. God doesn’t ignore the devil, and neither should we. And satan certainly does many things God doesn’t “allow” him to do. The only sense in which it can be said God allows everything that occurs on earth is that He created the laws and principles – sowing and reaping, cause and effect, and the free will of humans – that govern the earth. Humans, however, implement these principles and determine with our free will and actions what is sown, reaped, and experienced. Satan, too, understands these laws and uses them to his advantage whenever possible. (6) This doesn’t mean that every time something terrible happens to you, you caused it through your choices. The decisions of others on the earth obviously affect us. It simply means that God isn’t behind these terrible things. God is for us, not against us, as is proven by the Cross. Thankfully, we can look to Him to heal us, restore us, and work for our good the evils satan, others, and even we ourselves have allowed. We are applying the redemption He provided in order to see our nation restored, and you can do the same for your personal life and family. Pray with me: Father, all of us have at times been taken advantage of by satan and his scheming. He is a thief who specializes in stealing, killing, and destroying. As a nation, we have also been taken advantage of by him. He has landed many blows, defrauded, and taken much ground in America. You, on the other hand, sent Your Son to bring us abundant life. You are the Giver, not the taker; the Healer, not the destroyer. We appeal to You today to deliver us from the evil one, restoring what he has taken from us as individuals and as a nation. We join our hearts in agreement now, asking You in faith for great breakthroughs. By the power of the Almighty Holy Spirit, give us back our children, marriages, streets, cities, and nation. Reverse the gains satan has made. Help us take back the ground he has stolen. Move by Your Spirit in our schools, on our campuses, in our government, in our churches. Return to us our voice of trumpeting the good news of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. And we ask for greater discernment, understanding, and awareness of satan’s schemes and plans. Give us the ability to discern when he is encroaching. Holy Spirit wants to give us intel of our enemy; teach us to tune into this. The thief is no match for Him. We ask these things for our brothers and sisters around the world. Strengthen Your people, bring great revivals, and raise up powerful nations throughout the earth for Your purposes. - IT'S HERE!
April 3, 2025 Introduction (The conservative candidate for the Wisconsin Supreme Court was defeated Tuesday. We prayed for conservative values and the Constitution to prevail, and many of you gave your time for the cause. Thank you! God will honor your gift. While I am disappointed, my faith is not shaken. God is restoring our nation and will continue to do so; He knows how to reverse setbacks. Remain strong, immovable in your faith. And today’s post will help. I should mention that Wisconsin voters did choose to require a Voter ID, and that is huge.) The title of today’s post is: IT’S HERE! It has been a little over 35 years since Holy Spirit gave me an open vision that would be part of charting the course for my life. The vision was about revival and the coming great awakening. I’ve shared it before on Give Him 15, but it is appropriate for today. While teaching a class on prayer, suddenly, I began seeing – not what was before me physically – but a spiritual vision. I saw thousands of young people in a stadium or arena passionately worshiping and crying out to God. The scene changed, and they left the stadium. I watched as they arrived back in their hometowns as balls of fire. Everywhere they went, the fire of revival sprang up. As I prayed about this, Holy Spirit said He was showing me what was coming: that there would be a Third Great Awakening, which would begin with the young generation. As you can imagine, I was deeply impacted. A month later, Ceci and I went to Washington, D.C., for a few days to participate in the National Day of Prayer. Upon arrival, I was told of a unique event taking place all that week called a Biblethon. A canopy tent and small PA system were set up on the Capitol lawn. Individuals signed up for 15-minute slots, and the entire Bible – Genesis through Revelation – was read over the Capitol and nation 24/7 for the entire week. Those participating didn’t choose the passages they read; each one had to start where the last person stopped. When the entire Bible was finished, they started again in Genesis. Upon arrival in D.C., a friend told me of this Biblethon and said, “I knew you would want to participate in this, and the slots were almost gone, so I signed you up.” “Yes! That’s awesome,” I replied. “The only slots still available were through the night, so I signed you up at 2:00 AM tomorrow night,” he said with a smile. Instantly, I heard Holy Spirit say, “Through the passage of Scripture you read in the Biblethon, I’m going to confirm what I told you after the vision – that another great awakening will occur, and will begin with the young people.” We should never demand that the Lord do things our way. He doesn’t respond well to that! I was absolutely not doing this, but my response to Holy Spirit was, “Sir, I could find the concept of revival in ANY 15-minute reading of Scripture. Any! Whether the passage be about holiness, righteousness, love, You judging evil, a miracle, someone You used, etc., I could get the meaning of revival from it. I trust You, but I don’t trust myself in this situation. I am not trying to manipulate or force You to conform to my demands, but because of the Scriptures You’ve been speaking to me from in my ‘quiet times,’ there is only one way I would know for certain that a passage was confirming that word: if I get to read either the book of Haggai or Habakkuk.” Haggai is two chapters long, Habakkuk is three. There are 1189 chapters in the Bible. I knew the odds were almost impossible that the reading progression would have arrived at one of these books just when it was my time to read. But that’s what I told the Lord. When I arrived at the Biblethon tent the next night, thirty minutes early as instructed, they were nowhere near Haggai or Habakkuk. Someone was reading from the gospels. I didn’t want the Lord to feel badly about being unable to have them at one of the passages I requested, so I assured Him it was okay, and that I still believed the vision and word were from Him. I knew He was comforted! A few minutes before my time slot, the lady in charge approached and told me I was next. Then her expression changed; she looked at me strangely and departed from protocol, saying, “Mr. Sheets, you have your choice; you can read either the book of Haggai or Habakkuk.” I was stunned! God was saying, “Not only can I arrange it so you can read one of those two books, I can do better than that. You said ‘Haggai or Habakkuk.’ Okay, you have your choice, son: Haggai or Habakkuk.” That, my friend, is how much the Lord wanted me—and wants you—to know He is going to send a Third Great Awakening, beginning with young people. I have been waiting for 35 years to see in realty what I saw in this vision. I have now seen it. Two days ago, Ceci sent me a video clip, adding the words: “Your vision!” As I watched it, tears began to flow and I said, “This is it. It’s here.” The video is from a Passion Worship Gathering in 2024, just over a year ago. This particular clip has had over 10 million views. I am not sure why we are just seeing it, but the timing of when this gathering occurred is right. Many have been saying for a year or so that revival has begun with the young people in America. This is being confirmed over and over by what is occurring on college campuses across the nation. Regarding the video: I have been blessed to have been in many worship times as strong as this one, even in large gatherings, such as The Call events with Lou Engle. But this one is the scene I saw in 1990. It is primarily younger people, no hype or manipulation, not music driven, just tens of thousands of young people in awe of and overwhelmed with Jesus. The lingering presence of Holy Spirit, the expressions of adoration on their faces, the depth of what was occurring - this is what I saw in the vision. The Third Great Awakening has begun. Find a quiet place where you won’t be distracted. Use the link below, watch the video, and be blessed. It’s approximately 20 minutes long. Don’t just listen to it – watch it! If you’re older and don’t know how to do so, have someone assist you, but watch it if you can. Pray with me: Father, in Habakkuk, You said to “Write down the vision…So that one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hurries toward the goal, and it will not fail. Though it delays, wait for it” (Habakkuk 2:2-3). Like the shepherds at the time of Christ’s birth who then waited many years for Jesus to explode on the scene, we have waited over 30 years for this great awakening. It has begun. Now, we ask for the fire to explode all over this nation. Shake the earth and send “the desire of all nations” to us. Fill this nation and the nations of the earth with the greater glory (Haggai 2:6-9). Cause this fire to consume the strongholds and plans of the enemy. As wax melts before the fire, consume Your enemies (Psalm 68:2). Come as You spoke of in Malachi, “For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze,” says the Lord of armies, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branches” (Malachi 4:1 NASB). And Lord, prepare us for the fire of revival. We pray that no traditions of men, preconceived ideas, or wrong expectations will hold us back. Blow the lid off. Rock the boat. Stretch our wineskins and challenge our paradigms. Give us new wine, fresh wind, and an abundance of rain. We ask for the greatest, biggest, and most far-reaching revival in history. Outdo Yourself, Holy Spirit. In Yeshua’s name! Amen. Our decree: We declare that Jesus, the desire of the nations, will be revealed in His glory throughout the world. - “I Must Have America”
April 1, 2025 When approaching graduation from Christ For The Nations Bible Institute, Ceci and I were confident we would end up on “the mission field,” as we called foreign missions back then. America had so many churches and laborers; we wanted to go where the need was more significant. Opportunities in four nations were on our radar; our bags were practically packed. Then, something strange occurred. While praying one day, Holy Spirit spoke to me, “The Bible College is going to offer you a position, and you’re to accept it.” “Where did that come from?” I thought. This was nowhere on our radar! Sure enough, within days, the offer came, and we said yes. We thought we would serve there for a short time, then go to another nation. We continued to pray for other nations faithfully and fervently, as well as sow financially all that we possibly could into missions. Over the next few years, we served in a couple of other ministries, all the while holding onto the dream and wondering why the Lord would not release us to move somewhere overseas. Finally, Holy Spirit broke through our preconceived notions of being foreign “missionaries.” “America is your mission field,” He said, “I need you here. And by serving Me here, you will serve Me abroad.” My first thought was, That can’t be God speaking. America has more preaching and teaching than anywhere in the world. I want to go where the need is greatest. Little did I know… By the late 80s, I could see where America was heading, including the American church. My heart had become greatly concerned, at times overwhelmed with grief (and yes, sometimes anger). I saw that the great Charismatic and Jesus People movements, while bringing many to Christ in America, was not transforming the culture and society as a whole. An eschatological mindset that Jesus was coming soon, and that we could, therefore, ignore the cultural institutions and remain focused only on seeing people saved was dominant. Other theological beliefs also contributed to the church not focusing on discipling the nation, as Jesus had commissioned us (Matthew 28:18-20). The result? After one of history’s greatest revivals, America was actually losing ground spiritually, becoming further from God and His ways. As I mentioned, I saw this coming in the 80s and watched it pick up steam in the 90s as the church–God’s instrument of change–failed to wake up and take action. Many churches were growing; mega-churches were springing up, bringing a false sense of success. Although most of the growth was only transfer growth, not conversions, many leaders would not accept the reality that we were losing ground. Also, America’s economy was doing well, and much of the deterioration taking place in the nation was still hidden underground. The foundations were crumbling, however, and as this devolution progressed, it eventually became clear that without supernatural intervention, America would not recover. In ‘99 and 2000, I had had two dramatic visitations from the Lord, in which He brought to fullness a 20-year process of mantling me for my calling to America. In the second of these impartations, as I wept with Him for three and a half hours over America’s lost condition, the Lord clearly said to me, “For what I am going to do among the nations in this season of history, for the harvest I am going to reap in the earth, I must have America.” (1) I share this today to remind us all that the restoration God is doing at this time in America is not just for America. I don’t claim to speak for President Trump or other Americans, but for myself – and I believe where God is concerned – “America first” means: fix and heal America first, so that she is strong and prosperous enough to be the instrument God needs at this time in history. For our nation in general, this means being used by God for various things. For the church, however, it will mean accomplishing Mark 16:15-20 and Matthew 28:18-20: saving people and discipling nations for Christ. Just as with Abraham, America’s great blessings are not just for us. God told Abraham that the blessings coming to him, his descendants, and his nation were also so He could bless the world through them. This is true of America, as well: we are blessed to bless. I want revival and reformation in America so that we can be used to further revival and reformation around the world. My calling to America is a calling to the nations. Join me, for this noblest of callings is to all of us. With this in mind, I leave you with the following encouragement and call to prayer. Revival In the Middle East CBN News states: “Amid talk of a broader war in the Middle East, there is also news that a Jesus Revolution may be underway. An unprecedented number of Muslims are choosing to follow Christ, especially in Iran, as people search for a better life. “Iranians are growing tired of the ayatollahs and a nation led by the empty promises of their Islamic theocracy. An anonymous internal poll found that 80% now prefer a democratic government, and many are leaving Islam. “According to Todd Nettleton, Vice President of Messaging at VOM [Voice of the Martyrs], the faith option many are choosing is Jesus with at least a million Muslims reportedly leaving Islam for Christianity. So, how is the regime reacting to this, with a reported 50,000 of the country’s 75,000 mosques now closed? “‘This is not something that is making the regime happy. And, really, in many ways, they are seeking to solidify their power and to crush any kind of dissent,’ Nettleton said. ‘We have heard multiple stories this year of a Bible study, a home church being raided. Everyone there is photographed, everyone there is questioned. But then the leader of the meeting is held on to. They are arrested, they are detained, they’re put in prison.’” (2) Though great persecution is taking place in other parts of the world, it is also true that the greatest harvest of souls in history has begun. Pray for this to continue and increase exponentially. Pray for our brothers and sisters around the world who suffer because of their faith in Christ. And yes, pray for America – He needs us. Pray with me: Father, Holy Spirit is on a great mission, which will not fail, to make the kingdoms of this world “the Kingdom of our Lord of his Christ ” (Revelation 11:15). Our part in this glorious and unfailing cause is to win people to Christ through the preaching of the gospel, and discipling nations to the principles of the Kingdom. In Your heart, the nations are intertwined, flowing physically from one man, Adam, and spiritually from one man, Jesus Christ. What we do to save and transform America is also to save and transform the nations. Ultimately, Your glory will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. We pray for the revival that has begun in the Middle East to now grow and intensify. Save a billion Muslims and Jews in this hour. And as many of our brothers and sisters there suffer for Your name’s sake, we honor and pray for them. They are true heroes of the faith. Give them strength, encouragement, and perseverance; may their faith not fail them in times of testing. Though the pain and loss they experience is great, please remind them of the great reward they will receive – that their suffering is not in vain. Comfort them through Holy Spirit’s great love. And we pray for the votes taking place today in Wisconsin. Please grant us favor, moving the hearts of conservatives to get out and vote. We also ask that You move on the hearts and minds of undecided voters to vote for righteousness. Awaken them to the damage caused by Leftist and Marxist ideologies; help them to see clearly the fruit of these destructive mindsets. Please continue to move among the young people in America. Send revival. Send fire. Send awakening. Save America. Save the nations. Glorify Jesus! We pray for all of this in His mighty name. Amen. - Help Turn The Tide
March 28, 2025 “Finally, dear brothers and sisters, pray for us that the Lord’s message will continue to spread rapidly and its glory be recognized everywhere, just as it was with you. And pray that God will rescue us from wicked and evil people, for not everyone believes the message.” (2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 TPT) Passages such as these make clear the incredible importance of prayer, and also that God’s will is not automatic or guaranteed simply because of His sovereignty. As I stated in yesterday’s post, we involve Holy Spirit through our prayers. In these verses, Paul says that prayer is needed in order for the Lord’s message to spread rapidly and its glory be recognized. The success of the gospel is linked to our prayers. Incredible. He also instructed us in this passage to pray for rescue from “wicked and evil” people. The word “wicked” comes from the Greek word atopos . (1) The note in The Passion Translation says this Greek word can also be translated as “weird,” “irrational,” “absurd,” and “disgusting.” “Evil” in the above verses is translated from poneros (2) . Thayer’s Lexicon says this word can refer to “a bad condition in a physical sense, such as being diseased or blind, and in an ethical sense: evil, wicked, bad.” In what is often referred to as The Lord’s Prayer, the word is used to reference satan as the “evil one” (Matthew 6:13). Using these definitions, we are told to pray for rescue from “wicked, weird, irrational, absurd, disgusting, and evil” people. It is pretty easy to apply some of these terms to what goes on in our government today. Insisting that toddlers have enough understanding to want to change their gender and allowing confused children to be castrated is wicked, weird, irrational, absurd, disgusting, and evil. Sending drag queens to indoctrinate innocent kindergartners is wicked, weird, irrational, absurd, disgusting, and evil. Allowing criminals to go free and walk our streets to steal, rape, and murder is wicked, weird, irrational, absurd, disgusting and evil. Encouraging Americans to harm those they disagree with and destroy other people’s property is wicked, weird, irrational, absurd, disgusting, and evil. Many people coming into our nation illegally simply want a better life; some, however, are bad people and come for other reasons. To willfully allow them – murderers, rapists, gang members, drug dealers, and terrorists – to pour into our nation is wicked, weird, irrational, absurd, disgusting and evil. The good news is that we are told prayer can rescue us from the efforts of these individuals. Prayer can also deliver some of them. Let’s persevere in our intercession for a great revival, which will not only save people’s hearts, but deliver depraved minds. Let’s pray for the Lord’s message to continue to spread rapidly and its glory to be recognized. Our prayers matter – appealing to heaven still works. And here is one more issue we must pray about. The Wisconsin Supreme Court election on Tuesday, April 1, is of paramount importance for not only Wisconsin, but the entire nation. It will significantly influence the state’s judicial landscape and, by extension, its governance. Liberals currently hold a 4-3 majority; one of them is retiring, creating an opportunity to flip the court. The outcome will shape decisions on critical issues such as election integrity, regulatory policies, and individual rights. For conservatives, a majority on the court would create an opportunity to uphold constitutional principles and promote a limited government approach. The judiciary plays a crucial role in interpreting laws and ensuring that legislative actions align with the Constitution. A conservative majority could counteract judicial activism, ensuring that judges adhere to the original intent of the law rather than imposing personal ideologies. Also, the court’s decisions on economic and regulatory issues directly impact Wisconsin’s business climate. A conservative majority is likely to favor policies that promote economic growth, reduce regulatory burdens, and support the rights of businesses and property owners. This could lead to a more favorable environment for job creation and innovation. Additionally, election integrity is a pressing concern for many conservatives. The Wisconsin Supreme Court has the authority to adjudicate disputes regarding election laws, including voter ID requirements and mail-in voting regulations in their state. A conservative court could reinforce measures aimed at securing fair elections, thereby restoring public confidence in the electoral process. AP News reported that “On Monday night [March 24], Democratic U.S. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries told supporters that electing Crawford [the liberal judge] was important so she and other liberal justices can order a redraw of congressional boundary lines…‘As soon as possible, we need to be able to revisit that and have fair lines,’ Jeffries said in a live discussion on the social media platform X. ‘The only way for that to be even a significant possibility is if you have an enlightened Supreme Court.’” (3) “Fair” and “enlightened” are two words Jeffries and the Left define very differently than Mr. Webster. This election is seen by them as a way to gerrymander the House districts and retake the U.S. House of Representatives. This would halt the progress of Trump and conservatives in Congress as we restore our nation to truth, our original foundations, and frankly, sanity. The stakes are high. The election is seen as so important that as of Tuesday [March 25], $81 million has been spent on this one race, most of it coming from outside Wisconsin. If you live in Wisconsin, please vote. All of us can pray. Pray with me: Father, we are moved by the thought of being Your co-laborers. What a staggering truth! You have made us partners in Your great cause of releasing Christ’s redemption throughout the earth. Whether it be writing a letter, making a phone call, or offering up prayers, we are honored to work together with You. Please breathe upon this election in Wisconsin, and give us a more biblically based Supreme Court there. We ask You to thwart the efforts of those who work against Your principles and ways. We continue to pray for those in our national government whom You are using to bring reformation. Give President Trump, his Cabinet, and legislators great wisdom as they develop and implement strategies. Continue to expose the rampant theft and fraud that has taken place. Open the file cabinets and expose the hidden files, as You have said You would do. Continue to awaken the American people – bring this nation to its senses! And lastly, You told me years ago that the third great awakening in America would begin with the young people. This has now begun – You are pouring out Your Spirit on campuses throughout the nation. We ask that this not only continue but intensify, and that no effort from satan to defile it would succeed. Guard it jealously. Throw more oil on it, causing it to burn with holy fire and great intensity. Bless the endeavors of those You are using; give them provision, anointing, and great success. All of these things we ask in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, amen. Our decree: We decree that the good work God has begun in our nation will continue and not be thwarted. Introduction You may have noticed, along with me, that changes in our nation (and throughout the earth) are occurring much more quickly these days. Holy Spirit gave my brother Tim a word regarding this. We have titled it: It’s Time For The Blitz The movie “Braveheart,” depicts the story of William Wallace. There is a scene in which he rides before Scottish troops, challenging them with the following statement, “I am William Wallace, and I see a whole army of my countrymen, here, in defiance of Tyranny. You’ve come to fight as free men, and free men you are. What will you do without freedom? Will you fight? Aye. Fight and you may die. Run, and you’ll live…at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days, from this day to that, for one chance–just one chance–to come back here and tell your enemies that they may take our lives, but they’ll never take our freedom!” (1) We are advancing into a supernatural era of the church, even as we navigate a fierce season of spiritual war. This will be a time of notable miracles, signs, wonders and great harvest, but also a season in which we’ll have to fight spiritually for our rightful inheritance as the heirs of Christ. Since President Trump’s election, some have been saying “There’s a new sheriff in town.” I believe it’s time to declare something even greater, “There’s a new church in town.” Ekklesias have been engaged and are showing boldness, strength, and unwavering faith. We have been prepared and empowered by the Holy Spirit to win great battles. Those who know their God will stand strong in Him and fight back against hell’s evil agenda. I was recently reminded by Holy Spirit of a word He spoke to me three years ago: “ It’s time for the blitz push of My Kingdom Ekklesia.” The definition of “blitz” is a sudden, energetic and concerted effort to accomplish a specific purpose; a push to complete a cause; an intense, sudden military attack. A blitz is intended to disorient an enemy. (2) “Blitzkrieg” is a German term referring to an intense warfare campaign designed to bring about swift victories. It is also a method of warfare known as “lightning war.” A blitzkrieg is a surprise attack using a rapid movement of overwhelming force to break through an opponent’s line of defense. It is a sudden strike designed to disorient and dislocate enemy defenders, unbalancing them to provide an opening for quick victories. It can involve multiple battlefronts. (3) Holy Spirit is stirring the Ekklesia to carry out God’s battle plans, changing things on earth and setting captives free. There are spiritual battles on the horizon that we must fight and win. Holy Spirit has trained, equipped and prepared us for the greatest advance of His Kingdom. Holy Spirit gave me the following word regarding this: “ I will move through My Ekklesia hubs and My triumphant remnant in sudden, energetic, concerted efforts to accomplish My plans for the season. I will lead My remnant warriors, implementing lightning warfare. I will lead you to strike like lightning. My Kingdom will now move rapidly with overwhelming force. Rapid strikes will break through enemy defenses, disorienting and dislocating them. Swift victories are on the calendar. I will call you to sudden advances, throwing hell’s kingdom completely out of balance, interrupting their plans and defeating them quickly. My Ekklesias will invade enemy positions suddenly, causing disruptions and scatterings to systems of evil. Multiple surprise moves will be implemented in regions, territories, and nations as My Ekklesia emboldens itself. Hell will not see this coming because their arrogance has blinded them. Their human partners will also not see it coming, as their arrogance, self-righteousness, pride and filth justification has blinded them also. “Swift, strategic maneuvers are being activated through My Ekklesias to scatter lewd pollutions of My identity for male and female. The demon prince of perversion promoting doctrines of transgender will be struck suddenly, repeatedly, and boldly by My powerful advancing Kingdom and My angel armies. Truth will be their shield and buckler. Just as surely as Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed for perverting My identity for men and women, so will the demon doctrines of blind leaders of the blind be defeated. Original intent, truth and identity order will be proclaimed. “Rapid strikes and sudden, energetic, coordinated efforts will now push for Me and My ways. Boardrooms, corporate leaders, and corporate identities will change. Government leaders will change or be changed. Sudden strikes, led by unique leaders I’ve ordained, are now advancing into positions of great authority. My Ekklesia’s voice is rising to sound out My Words. Angels are activating to tear down this stronghold of evil that is polluting a young generation. My enemies, the enemies of My heirs, will become unbalanced. They will stagger in the blitzkrieg of truth and righteousness that is now accelerating. Swift victories and turnarounds will be seen. “For I have a great harvest among those who have been misled and confused by minds occupied by demons. My truth will free them. My truth will reorder real identity, meaning, and purpose; it will rise in them, for My love is set upon them. I will free multitudes from the lie. I have sons and daughters trapped in the confusion and I will redeem them. I have prodigal sons and daughters to free. I have champions whose identity I will restore. I am moving to change battlefronts; activating overwhelming force to accomplish this purpose. I will disorient the confusers. I will now dislocate the positioning of those spreading perversion. Their influence will fade and their voices will fester from the evil infections they created. “I have targeted kingpin positions of great authority who, as Pharaoh of old, have hardened their hearts against Me. My Ekklesia, assisted by My angel armies, will target them in prayer to remove their influence, and to release leaders that will not resist My ways. For the blitz push of My Ekklesia includes concerted, coordinated, fast-moving efforts to remove the influence of evil kingpins. The Lord of Hosts declares to His church: ‘The warfare for earth will now intensify, but you will experience swift turnarounds as you release My authority to regions, states, and nations. Lightning warfare, quick strikes, and rapid responses will occur against evil that once enjoyed passivity’s stupor among My people. The world will now see a different church. A ‘ruling and reigning with Me’ church. A church that strikes like lightning. When hell pushes, they will push back. When culture, government, big tech and education pushes, they will push back. And when demons push them, they will push back.’” We are living in a historic, world-shaping time, a hinge of history. Holy Spirit is moving, empowering and resourcing us for this moment, energizing people with tenacious faith. It is time for the Ekklesia of King Jesus to boldly advance. Pray with me: Lord, we ask for the blitzkrieg of the Kingdom of God to be released. Loose Your voice throughout America and across the world. Thank You, God, for the release of angelic assistance and the power of Holy Spirit. Prepare and energize us with another powerful infilling of Holy Spirit; make us bold warriors, engaged against evil. Use us to strike like lightning against the strategies of hell, blinding philosophies, and plans of demons. Bring confusion into Your enemy’s camps. Restore purpose, truth and identity, freeing those bound, setting prodigal sons and daughters free. Give us great discernment, wisdom and understanding of our times. Lead us as we engage in the blitz push of Your Kingdom, striking demonic enemies, defeating their strategies, and setting captives free. We decree that Your Kingdom rule WILL come to earth. - The Power of Purpose
March 27, 2025 “‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.’” (Jeremiah 29:11 NASB) Three Important Words Many people consider this verse only when in difficult situations, using it to inspire hope that God has a plan for their deliverance or recovery. Though certainly including this, the verse has a much broader meaning. “Future” is from a Hebrew word that includes the meaning of destiny. (1) The New King James Version at times translates it this way. As I said in yesterday’s post , “plans” is from a word meaning “to weave, plait, or mix.” (2) It can even refer to craftsmen inventing musical instruments, artistic objects, weapons, and other objects. The concept is simple: combining two or more substances to create something new. When used in reference to the mind, it refers to thoughts mixing together to form plans. God has plans for our future that involve more than rescue operations. They are His all-wise thoughts, woven together into plans before we are even born (Psalm 139:16) that become a hope-filled destiny. We can have confidence that we are more than a meaningless blip on eternity’s radar screen. God has assignments for us to accomplish, people whose lives we are to impact, prayers we are to pray, and more. “Hope” is a word that means more than a pleasant expectation regarding the future; it is also the word for a cord or tether. (3) Fascinating. Hope “connects” us to our future. Conversely, a lack of hope can cause us to give up on life, thereby disconnecting us from our future. Knowing and believing God has good plans and a destiny for us is more than optimism; this understanding and assurance actually connects us to that plan. This hope also forms a path or track upon which to travel. We no longer wander aimlessly, but follow the roadmap God gives us as we confidently seek Him daily (Proverbs 3:5-6). Life becomes a secure, meaningful journey, not a maze of endless dead-ends and wrong turns. Governmental Destinies God destines some people to be leaders, including leadership in government. Donald Trump now believes that God saved his life in order for him to play a significant role in saving America. This belief has become a purpose that produces passion, a path that provides direction, and a cord connecting him to God. A belief in destiny, as President Trump now possesses, creates incredible motivation, discipline, and focus. There are others in our government whom I am sure also realize they are there by God‘s design and calling. The concept of a “calling” is not limited to the religious world. Adam was called to be a gardener, David was called to be a shepherd and king, Abraham was called to be a rancher. God used these individuals mightily as they carried out responsibilities and careers we would normally not consider “spiritual.” Many individuals in vocations we would not consider spiritual do more to influence the world than those in so-called “spiritual” vocations. Are we to believe God does not “call” people to and equip them for this level of influence in government and other influential arenas? Of course He does. This means we must pray for God‘s gifts, anointing, and wisdom to be given them in their assignments. Do President Trump, his cabinet, and his advisors need this God-given help less than Moses, David, Josiah, or other leaders in the Scriptures? Do Mike Johnson and other legislators need this less than Joseph, Daniel, or Joshua? These people today are making decisions that influence the entire world! We should pray that they seek God and hear His voice. We should ask that Holy Spirit’s help be given them, as well as that of angels. We should ask that revelation of Scripture and insight from dreams be given to them. And, of course, we should pray for their safety and protection from harm, wrong influences, and corruption. I do not find it a stretch to believe that some mistakes made by leaders could have been avoided had people been praying for them. I believe some leaders who have fallen into sin could have been preserved from doing so had people been praying for them. Peter’s ministry and walk with God were undoubtedly saved by Christ’s intercession for him (Luke 22:31-32). Why would we be called to pray for leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-3) if our prayers did nothing? We must accept our responsibility to pray for those in government; part of their success as they serve us will be determined by our faithfulness to pray. The great preacher and orator, Charles Spurgeon, once made the profound statement, “Prayer bends the omnipotence of heaven to your desire. Prayer moves the hand that moves the world.” (4) This doesn’t mean our prayers control God; it means they involve Him. Let’s keep Him involved in our nation’s government. Pray with me: Father, thank You for the assurance that we have a purpose, and that our lives were planned by You. You created us with design and intent; we all have a calling and destiny. Teach us to factor this into our decisions and goals, always seeking Your path for us, staying tethered to Your purpose. A purpose we all share is moving Your powerful hand through our prayers. We are honored to partner with You in this way. We do so today by interceding for our government. We pray that President Trump, his cabinet, and his advisors will be given wisdom from You to lead America on a path of restoration. Keep them from wrong decisions and demonic traps. Help them make sound financial, legal, and military decisions. Guide them in their dealings with other nations. Help them reform our nation back to strength and morality. We pray for Congress. Give them the understanding needed to legislate wisely. Give favor to those who honor You and Your ways, remove the voices of those who do not. Deliver us from the political spirit that is so influential and divisive in our nation. We pray for our Justices and Judges. Give them wisdom and understanding. Give us Judges who do not legislate, but who accurately and wisely interpret laws without prejudice or bias. We ask for the removal of those who politicize their positions and who do not honor You. Please continue to cleanse and reform our government and send an outpouring of Holy Spirit to our nation’s leaders. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen. - Put God In The Mix
March 26, 2025 Abraham was a dreamer, maybe one of the greatest ever. God liked that about him – at that time in history, He desperately needed a dreaming friend. The Lord had been waiting for him to come along, a man He could partner with to recapture His dream of family. The Redeemer would be born through this man’s family. Their story begins in Genesis 12, where God initiates His plan by instilling a dream in Abraham. “Now the Lord said to Abram, ‘Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you; and I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you…’” Notice that God began His journey with Abraham by speaking to his dreaming nature. How fascinating is that! “I’m going to make you My partner in rescuing My dream, Abraham. And I’m going to begin by giving YOU a dream.” Why, when looking for someone to help Him recapture His dream, would God approach it this way? He could have just demanded that Abraham do what He wanted. But the Lord is well aware of the strength of our dreaming nature. He placed it there, after all. With this in mind, God knew that for the partnership to endure for a lifetime, Abraham would need freedom to release this God-given nature. It couldn’t be a one-sided dream. Therefore, God began by placing a dream in Abraham’s heart regarding the birthing of a great nation and announced the partnership, “I will make from you a great nation” – Abraham's dream. “And in you, all the families of the earth will be blessed” – God’s dream (Genesis 12). Since God gave us our dreaming nature and has a purpose and destiny for each of us, it seems obvious He would want a voice in our choice of dreams. There is a verse of Scripture that addresses this and has meant a great deal to Ceci and me over the years: “Roll your works on the Lord. Commit and trust them wholly to Him. He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and so shall your plans be established and succeed” (Proverbs 16:3 AMP – classic edition). This wonderful verse seems almost too good to be true. God declares that He will supernaturally shape our thinking and plans, aligning them with His, which will then ensure success. The word plans in this verse comes from a word meaning “to weave, plait, or mix.” It can even refer to craftsmen inventing musical instruments, artistic objects, weapons, and other objects. This obviously would include dreams. Placing this definition back into the verse, God is saying to us: When you dream, I want to be in the mix. If you will allow Me, I will infuse my thoughts into the process and shape your plans according to the purpose and destiny I have created for you. This will guarantee success. Just as He did with Abraham. What a great promise! I recall a time when Ceci and I were searching for the next phase of God’s calling in our lives. We had recently married, and I was about to graduate from Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas. We had four opportunities we were considering. The leading possibilities in our minds were overseas. We were standing on this verse, Proverbs 16:3, from the Amplified Bible. We quoted the verse daily, usually picturing ourselves somewhere in Guatemala or Zimbabwe. Our bags were practically packed. Then, something strange occurred. While praying one day, I had the thought, CFNI is going to offer you a position, and you’re to accept it . “Where did that come from?” I thought. This was nowhere on our radar! Sure enough, within days, the offer came, and we said yes. It probably wouldn’t surprise you to know that those next two years working at CFNI became invaluable preparation for what God has done through us for the last forty-plus years. Proverbs 16:3 had happened. God infused His thoughts into ours, and we listened, allowing Him “into the mix.” Dreaming works out much better when we bring the Author of dreams into the plans! Proverbs 19:21 uses this same word: “Many plans are in a man’s heart, but the counsel of the Lord will stand.” Most of the time, we humans make our plans and formulate our dreams without bringing God into the process. This began with Adam and Eve’s original sin in Eden. Satan, the tempter, knew he could throw a wrench into God’s dream if he could cause humans to dream without divine influence. God’s plan wasn’t to have a family of independent dreamers; He desired co-dreamers. It was never His plan that we dream apart from Him and His influence – not because He’s a control freak, but because He wanted partners and associates. God wanted someone to dream with and someone to dream through. He needed outlets for His dreams. During the late 1700s, the Lord chose a remarkable destiny for a young man in England, one that would help shape the history of a nation. The movie Amazing Grace tells the true story of William Wilberforce, who led the efforts to eradicate slavery from Great Britain. When asked by his butler after his conversion if he had found God, Wilberforce’s reply was, “I think He found me.” Indeed, God found Wilberforce, who became so joined to His heart and desires that ultimately, no price was too great for the dream. His passion to see slavery end was so overwhelming that it resulted in stomach ailments, nightmares, ridicule, and four decades of tireless work. But days before his death, the decisive vote came to eliminate slavery from England. When the law became formal three days after the vote, Wilberforce’s spirit left this world. Thomas Buxton, a member of the House of Commons at the time, said of Wilberforce, “The day which was the termination of his labors was the termination of his life.” (1) God has need of you, just as He did Wilberforce. Since He never acts without purpose, the fact that you’re alive is proof that you have something this generation needs. Most people, however, go through life pursuing personal careers and goals without ever considering that God wants to dream through their thoughts/plans. Too often, He’s a lonely dreamer. There must be millions of written but unfulfilled destinies in God’s dream book in heaven. The plans, accomplishments, and dreams He wrote about for so many are tragically undiscovered and unrealized. He and His plans never make it into their dream mix. Pray with me: Father, as we are challenged to dream, we look now at the importance of keeping You in the mix. Teach us how to allow Your thoughts, Your ways, and Your heart to leaven the process. You have promised that if we do this, our plans will be established and succeed. You tell us in Your Word that many plans are in a person’s heart, but the counsel of the Lord – Your counsel – will stand. Forgive us for taking You out of the mix in our personal lives, and also for doing so as a nation. We repent on behalf of our nation and ask for the blood of Jesus to cleanse us from our rebellion and rejection of You. You have determined that we would be outlets for Your dreams, as would our nation. We choose this day to walk in the fullness of that revelation. Psalm 2 makes clear Your dream of a great harvest in all the nations. You told Jesus to ask You for this, and You would do it. He has asked, and now You will accomplish it. As part of Your dreaming family, we partner with You to see this accomplished. And we do it in the unfailing name of Jesus. Amen. - Undistracted Devotion
March 25, 2025 Introduction In yesterday’s post, I spoke to you about the nations being given to Christ as His inheritance. Today, let’s focus on us as individuals being part of this inheritance. We are loved by the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Today’s title: Undistracted Devotion I like football. Okay, I love football. And for all the NFL fans out there, the Dallas Cowboys may be America’s team, but as any true fan knows, the Denver Broncos are God’s team. That’s why He made the sky blue and sunsets orange. Several years ago, when my younger daughter, Hannah, was only three or four years old, I was enjoying a great Broncos playoff game (my favorite NFL team at the time). Did you catch that? Not just a game – a Broncos playoff game. I had a great fire in the fireplace, had kicked back in my football recliner, and was into a great game. Hannah did not understand football and couldn’t have cared less about the game. She plopped down in my lap and, as kids do, began jabbering about something. She wasn’t talking about anything terribly important – at least, I didn’t think it was all that important. But I was listening…sort of. I was actually dividing my attention between her dialogue and the exploits of John Elway. This is real devotion to my daughter, I thought. Sharing my football time with her childish jabbering. Bronco’s playoff football, at that. What a devoted dad I am. I was doing the typical distracted listening routine, an “uh-huh” here, an “ohhh” there, with a smile or two and a head nod thrown in for added effect. Sure, I was missing a play here or there, but hey, that’s just the price of devotion. Hannah has always been very perceptive. And, of course, she has the female trait of wanting the men in her life to really listen – to the details! I don’t know when that particular gene kicks in for women, but it obviously comes alive at an earlier age than I realized. After a few minutes of my divided attention, Hannah had finally had enough. “Dad,” she said rather sternly as she placed one index finger on each cheek and turned my face away from the TV and directly toward her. “Look me in the eye and listen.” Women manifest these mindsets and tendencies at a young age! With my attitude adjustment, I looked her in the eye and listened! That, my friend, is undistracted devotion. Paul uses these two words, “undistracted devotion,” in 1 Corinthians 7:35, speaking of our commitment to the Lord. The phrase comes from the Greek words aperispastos euprosedros . The literal meaning of the first word is interesting, “Don’t let anything pull or drag you away from something.” (1) With this picture in mind, it became the word for “undistracted.” Devotion is euprosedros. The root word prosedros means “to sit forward or toward” someone or something. Imagine a person sitting in the presence of someone they are completely devoted to, leaning toward them, hanging on every word. The prefix eu means “well,” intensifying the concept to mean “sitting well toward.” In our culture today, we often use a similar phrase, “sitting on the edge of our seats.” Obviously, we mean by this that we’re totally captivated by someone or some performance. Hence, the meaning of “devotion.” Putting the two words together: Don’t let anything or anyone pull you away from your devotion or attraction to Him. Hannah wanted me to give HER some face time, not the TV; she wanted undistracted devotion , demonstrating that she, not the Broncos, was number one. And she was. At that moment, my favorite color wasn’t orange; it was brown, the color of her eyes. God would like some face time with you. He knows you’re busy and can’t live like a monk, giving yourself to nonstop worship and meditation. He’s also aware that you have a family to care for, work to perform, and the need for sleep. He doesn’t want all of your time; He does, however, want some undistracted time. It’s a matter of setting the right priorities. You can’t focus on everything; focus on what matters most. I have found that priorities are heart-related. What means most to me is what I’ll prioritize the most. If we find ourselves uninterested in the pleasure of God’s company, the place to start is with repentance. We should ask God to forgive us of indifference toward Him, and to awaken passion in us. Then begin spending quality time with Him. As we do, hunger for His presence will increase, and we will look forward to those times. As King Solomon was about to begin his reign over Israel, he prayed a prayer God couldn’t resist. “So give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” (1 Kings 3:9). The phrase “an understanding heart” should actually be translated as “a hearing heart.” Most translators struggle with the concept of a “hearing” heart, so they don’t word it this way. But the Hebrew word is shama, meaning “to hear.” (2) Solomon asked for a hearing heart. God liked that. In times past, before we had refrigerators, people used icehouses to preserve food. They had thick walls and were well-insulated. In winter, large chunks of ice were taken from lakes, ponds, or streams and laid on the floor, then covered with a thick layer of sawdust to insulate it. This made a great “refrigerator.” One day, a gentleman lost an expensive watch in the icehouse. Due to the thickness of the sawdust, his efforts to find it had failed. Others looked, also in vain. Finally, a small boy slipped into the icehouse when no one was around and promptly found the valuable watch. Surprised, the men asked the young boy how he had so quickly found the valuable timepiece. “I closed the door, lay down on the floor, and was very quiet,” replied the lad. “Pretty soon, I heard it ticking.” (3) Hearts can hear, but only when they’re undistracted. Our problem in hearing God isn’t His refusal to speak but our negligence in getting quiet enough to hear. Silencing the soul (the mind and emotions) is a learned art. The psalmist David spoke of this. “Surely I have composed and quieted my soul; like a weaned child rests against his mother” (Psalm 131:2). When we quiet the soul, we can hear His voice in our hearts. God speaks to those who will listen. Slow down a little and let Him into your world. If you do, He’ll allow you into His. He will find the pleasure of your undistracted devotion, and you will experience the pleasure of hearing His heart. Look Him in the eyes and listen. Pray with me: Father, we thank You for Your undivided attentiveness toward us. The Song of Solomon tells us You are ravished by just one glance from our eyes (Song of Solomon 4:9). What pleasure might it bring Your heart when we choose to not only glance, but to gaze, giving You our undivided devotion. You love Your family! We repent today for letting ourselves lose interest in the pleasure of Your company; forgive us for our indifference. Awaken passion in us for Your presence, and guide us as we reset our priorities. Holy Spirit, teach us the art of waiting on You with undivided hearts in order to hear You clearly. You are worthy of our undistracted devotion, sitting on the edge of our seats, watching intently for Your every move, listening to every word You speak. Like Solomon, we ask, “Would You grant to us hearing hearts!” What a change this will make! Jesus, we choose to prioritize You, taking the time to look into Your eyes, and pausing to listen. - Praying The Promise
March 24, 2025 It is exciting to change the world as part of God’s international Ekklesia! His praying church is growing and maturing. A simple but powerful insight regarding prayer is what some call “Praying the Promises.” One of the most profound promises in Scripture we can pray and act on is Psalm 2:1-9 (NKJV): “Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and His Anointed (Christ/Messiah), saying, ‘Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away their cords from us.’ He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath and distress them in His deep displeasure: ‘Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.’ I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for Your inheritance and the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’” Think about the amazing phenomenon occurring in this passage. Psalm 2 allows us to enter a conversation between the Father and His beloved Son, Jesus, in which Yahweh makes Him an eternal PROMISE! “You are My Son … Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for Your inheritance and the ends of the earth for Your possession.” (verses 7-8) This Psalm tells us Jesus was given a great promise for which He had to ask, cooperating with God through prayer. The Father instructed His Son to pray and ask for every nation; they were His inheritance. God loves the nations. He loves America! We know that while on earth, Jesus was a man of disciplined prayer (Hebrews 5:7; Luke 11:1). Surely He asked for the nations! We pray with passion and hope for America because Jesus was promised this nation as His inheritance. And He is granting us more and more insights, revelation, and passion as we do so! This is also why we pray with faith and send missionaries around the earth – because Jesus was promised every nation as His inheritance. And every nation has a growing Ekklesia “Praying the Promise” for their beloved nation. “Several years ago, I was ministering in Toronto. On my last morning there, as I was packing my bags and thinking about my final session, I was also visiting with Holy Spirit. I wasn’t in intercession, and it wasn’t my quiet time. I was simply communing while working, sharing some of my inner thoughts with Him, much the same way I might have done with my wife had she been there. “Suddenly, Holy Spirit spoke to me. It was as natural and matter-of-fact as if two friends were sharing their hearts. ‘Japan is really on My heart this morning,’ Holy Spirit said. “This surprised me. I’ve never thought of God at times having one place on His heart more than others. I’ve always figured He had every place on His heart all the time. And the phrase ‘on My heart’ surprised me as well. It was more than on His mind; this was something deeper – very important to Him. I felt as though He was letting me into His very heart. “He then said to me, ‘I must have Japan. There is tremendous warfare over the nation right now. Would you pray for Japan this morning in your session?’ “How do you like that?! Not a command, as in ‘Pray for Japan!’ But a question, ‘Would You?’ He was asking me! “‘Of course we will, Holy Spirit,’ I said. ‘We would be honored to do that.’ And we did! Such an anointing and burden of prayer came upon the assembly – tears, travail, intense intercession. It went on for about 45 minutes, at which time I had to leave for the airport. They continued – how long, I do not know.” (1) God’s heart was yearning for the nation of Japan. Japan has been promised to Jesus, as has Canada, Mexico, Iraq, China, etc. Every nation has been promised to Him. Jesus loves Japan. Jesus loves the nations! This season finds us in a powerful and anointed time of “Praying the Promise” Yahweh gave Jesus regarding the nations. Holy Spirit has many redemptive purposes now working through the Ekklesia in a massive invasion of planet earth. They are happening in amazing, synergistic ways! Holy Spirit outpourings are occurring in America Angel armies are on the move The Great Communion awakening is taking place Righteous leadership is arising in nations And the Prayer Army is “Praying the Promise” of Psalm 2 Do you think the Father will answer the decree and promise He made to His Son in Psalm 2? YES! Jesus has asked and continues to do so through His Bride, His Ekklesia, you and me. Holy Spirit is orchestrating this partnership of prayer for America and all nations. And our prayers are being progressively answered, manifesting before our very eyes. Conclusion We pray for our nation, not because of a particular political party or candidate, and not from a selfish nationalism. We pray, and we do so with confidence because of the Father’s Promise to Jesus in Psalm 2. Would you take hold of this promise? Would you “Pray the Promise” with Jesus? Pray the simple prayer: “Heavenly Father, I pray with Jesus today and ask that You fulfill Your Promise to Him, giving Him America as His inheritance. Today, I ask for Your Kingdom to COME and Your will to be done in our country.” There is something epic happening in America… There is something epic taking place in the nations… The promise of the Father to His Son (Psalm 2) is being answered right before our eyes! Just over 50 years ago, the Lord began this phase of growing His prayer army. Two books were copyrighted in 1973 that ignited many intercessors: Rees Howells – Intercessor by Norman Grubb (Christian Literature Crusade, copyright 1973), and Shaping History through Prayer & Fasting by Derek Prince (Whitaker House, copyright 1973). Both of these books emphasized the great need to impact the nations for Jesus through prayer and fasting. Each of them demonstrated that God has chosen intercession as the key to shaping history. Back then, most believers were not focused on the nations, including praying for America. Fifty years later, that has changed for America and all nations. Holy Spirit is emphasizing and anointing this awesome promise in Psalm 2. Let’s pray it and release the power of God’s promise to Jesus. Pray with me: Father, we pray and decree Your promise to Jesus that You would give Him the nations as His inheritance. He created the earth and all it contains with His words, redeemed the inhabitants with His blood, and You have declared that He would be King, the Sovereign Ruler over all of it. We now “Pray the Promise.” We ask that America be not just the promised, legal inheritance of Jesus, but the relational and realized inheritance. We ask this as well for all the nations. We know this isn’t institutions and organizations, nor is Christ’s rule a forced dominance or dictatorship. Your relational heart wants to make the inhabitants of the nations Your family and friends, Your heirs, and Christ’s co-heirs. This desire is beyond explanation – the infinite God wants a relationship with finite man. We are grateful beyond words. So now we ask: give Christ the nations. Give Him this billion-soul harvest Holy Spirit has talked about. Give Him the fruit of His labors and sacrifice, the complete harvest from the incorruptible seed He became. John, the beloved, saw this company: “…a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands” (Revelation 7:9). We ask for this in Jesus’ name. Amen. Our decree: We decree that the Father’s promise to give Jesus the nations will be granted. America shall be saved.
