GH15 is joining in a national call to prayer before the 2016 Elections: As One – A National Appeal to Heaven 40 Days of Prayer Walking the Nation Here is Today’s Focus: Other Faiths and Belief Systems Many Americans embrace belief systems and ideologies that claim to point the way to salvation through some system of selfsacrifice and good works yet miss the transforming power of the cross and resurrection. The apostle Paul taught, “if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV). Pray that believers across America will have opportunities to share the reality of knowing Christ with those who have never experienced His “amazing grace.” Especially pray for the various faiths that exist in America, as well as the many organizations and individuals focused on demonstrating the compassion of Christ among people of these groups. Pray that the growing “prayer, care, share” strategy of truly praying for and loving those of other faiths through caring for and helping meet their felt needs will become a national strategy of the Body of Christ. Pray by name for neighbors and friends you know who embrace different belief systems, asking God to enable you to share the Good News of your own testimony with them in love and humility. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned and by which they have transgressed against Me.” PRAY: 4 I thank you today, God, for the gift of your pardon. I repent of all the ways I have sinned against you and pray that you would cleanse my heart of all iniquity. As I consider this year’s election, Lord, I pray that you would pardon your people in America. Cleanse our hearts of iniquity, and rebuild us as a unified Body known by our love in this nation today. GLOBAL PRAYER SHIELD SUNDAY “Seeking God for the Peace and Protection of our Cities!” Join a broad coalition of churches, denominations and ministries globally in setting aside the first Sunday of October annually in the spirit of Jeremiah 29:7, Psalm 91: 7-11 and Romans 13:1-2 to appoint a designated time of prayer in our churches and other gatherings of worship to intercede for protection from global terrorism and for those who wear a of shield of protection (police, fire fighters, first-responders, etc.) as they seek to protect our citizens from harm and danger. Jeremiah 29:7 …Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper. Psalm 91:9-11 If you make the Most High your dwelling—even the Lord, who is my refuge—then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. Romans 13:1-2 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Terrorism is now a worldwide concern. Primarily carried out by radical Islamists, this is a type of warfare that comes right into neighborhoods and group events right where we live. Our governmental authorities, intelligence agencies and local law enforcement are working together diligently to root out plots and plans and stop them before they can be carried out, but we believe Divine intervention is needed to help them. Please join with us in prayer to this end. Thank the Lord that He is the One who ultimately protects our cities and nations from harm. Tell Him that we acknowledge Him first above any other source of protection. Pray for the peace of the city you live in and ask God to provide protection against terrorism. Say that the blood of Jesus protects your city from all harm and that no disaster can befall it. Pray for wisdom and direction from the Holy Spirit for authorities as they seek out all of those who may be planning harm and that every plot would be found out. Decree that acts of terrorism being planned in darkness in your state or nation will come into the light and be stopped! Psalm 127:1b “Unless the LORD protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.” 1 Peter 4:11 “If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.” When tragedy strikes, we all look for help. Those who are trained to provide that help, whether it is medical, protective, or rescue, are appreciated and honored by the vast majority of those whom they serve. In a day of global terrorism when authorities are under attack, as well as those who misunderstand and distrust even first responders, it is important that we pray for our police, fire, and medical response teams worldwide. Give thanks to the Lord for those who so often put their lives on the line for others. In so many ways, they reflect the giving nature of Jesus who gave Himself for us. Pray for physical protection for these first responders since there are many situations in which their lives and bodies are placed in danger. Pray for peace for their families who are aware of the dangers their loved ones often face. Pray for emotional protection, especially in the United States in light of criticism and attacks due to conflict between some African Americans and the police. Help them to not be easily offended or hurt by criticism. Protect them from cynicism. Pray for increased skill and effectiveness in their daily tasks of coming to the aid of others. Ask the Lord to give them confidence in the abilities He has given them and in those they have developed through training. We must always remember that God is ultimately our Shield against the enemy’s actions. He is the one we look to first to protect us and save us. Worship Him and thank Him that we can rely on Him 100 percent of the time!

GH15 is joining in a national call to prayer before the 2016 Elections: As One – A National Appeal to Heaven 40 Days of Prayer Walking the Nation Here is Today’s Focus: Christian Laborers (Remembering Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers, and Other Christian Workers) Today our primary focus for prayer as watchmen are those who help spread or teach the Good News of Christ in our community and nation. Be specific as you pray for those you know by name who are serving to advance the Kingdom of Christ. Some may be prominent leaders in the Church, known worldwide, while others may only be known to a small community of believers, including you. They need your prayers. Pray for those you know who may be beyond your theological sphere or denomination. Compile your personal list of those you want to pray for at least once each month. Pray also for more laborers to be called into the harvest (Matthew 9:37-38). Pray also for those who proclaim the Gospel, that it will be “the pure Gospel” and that all Christian workers, whether missionaries or indigenous pastors and evangelists, will remember Peter’s compelling words: “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12, NKJV). Today’s Passages: Matthew 9:37-38 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Romans 10:13-15 “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As you pray through today’s passages from Scripture, apply these promises to this specific focus— Religion (and more specifically, the Church). Include churches and denominations by name, asking God to bless them with true revival. Pray specifically for revival in your church and the churches of your area and for a resulting spiritual awakening in your community so that many might come to Christ as the result. Additionally, remember people of other faiths and religions, that they might experience the transforming grace of Jesus Christ. Today’s Passages: Ephesians 3:14-21 For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Pray As One As One is a national call to prayer. The basic strategy revolves around a 40-day period of prayer-walking, fasting, and corporate prayer events. The Fire that Unites This nation is a seriously divided nation, racially-speaking. Some keep working hard at unity, but then something always seems to happen to divide us again. The United States once had many small towns of mostly European immigrants with their own languages and cultures dotting the landscape, but over time most melted into one nation. It has always been much harder for people of color. The beauty of our ethnic backgrounds isn’t meant by God to divide us, but to bring a fullness of beauty to America. We need His miraculous move to heal us and make us truly one. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28; BSB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Declare that every Christian man, woman and child, regardless of race, is a son and daughter of the living God and was bought with the blood of Jesus. Declare that we are standing together in the beauty of our racial diversity asking God for awakening in America. Pray that all of our cities and neighborhoods would be visited by revival and that not one would be left out! Cry out, cry out for revival fires to unify this nation! A prayer you can pray: We declare that we are Christians, sons and daughters of the living God. Before our skin pigment, we declare we were bought with the precious blood of Jesus. We are brothers and sisters standing for an awakening in America. Father, we ask that you would send revival fires across the nation, among Latin communities, among Black communities, among Asian and all other minority communities. Together with every other American, we are all in desperate need of You, Lord! Unite us in revival and awakening! In Jesus’ name, amen. A Sound That Will Be Heard I am asking for pastors, prayer leaders from every state, moms, dads, teenagers, people from every race, and everyone that is willing, to join us in Ohio October 20th to the 22nd for three days of prayer and worship. We are going to release a sound that will be heard in heaven. Let’s don’t make the mistake of hoping things will change and certainly not in putting our faith in a person or a political party. Let’s take action. Let’s pick up this nation in prayer, including the elections, and cry out until we receive what He has promised us in His Word. (For more information and to register, click here.) “The LORD said to his people: ‘You are standing at the crossroads. So consider your path. Ask where the old, reliable paths are. Ask where the path is that leads to blessing and follow it. If you do, you will find rest for your souls.’ But they said, ‘We will not follow it!’” (Jeremiah 6:16; NET) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Repent if you have been simply hoping things in this nation would work out for the best. Identificationally repent for those in the Body of Christ who will not look to God for His path for this nation, so we can get on it and move forward. Even if you can’t come to Ohio, call for the 3000 that can come and join their voices together to cry out in one voice for the future of this nation. Tell the Lord you are expecting to see answers to these unified prayers! A prayer you can pray: Father, forgive me for not rousing myself to “believe” more than “hope” that You can move this nation forward to fulfill Your Will for it. Forgive the Body of Christ across this nation who have a Jeremiah 6:16 attitude and won’t look to You in prayer for Your path forward for this nation. Often that is because of unbelief, as things have not seemed to change for so many years. Help us, Lord. Forgive us. I call for the people of God to congregate in Ohio October 20th to 22nd. First Presidential Debate The upcoming national elections are crucial for America. They will either make or break the nation. The only possible hope for America is PRAYER. The 2016 Presidential Debates will have a big impact on what happens in this country for many years to come. The first of those debates is tonight, Monday, 9/26, at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY. It will be moderated by Lester Holt of NBC. It will consist of six 15-minute segments selected by the moderator and announced ahead of the debate. “Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?” (2 Chronicles 1:10; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: Ask the Lord to protect each candidate, moderator and attendee, as well as Hofstra University, and that His Holy Spirit and angelic host will intervene wherever necessary so that His plans and purposes can be carried out in this nation. Take His authority that He has given to His followers to command and decree that the enemy will not have any power over the debates or the elections. Pray that during the debates, God will bring clearness and wisdom to the person of His choice. Pray that person will have discernment and wisdom from God in what they say and do. Pray for Lester Holt of NBC, who will be moderating the debates. May he be fair and unbiased. A prayer you can pray: Lord, we pray for the future of our nation today as we pray for the first Presidential Debates. We ask that you would protect each candidate and attendee from harm and that Hofstra University would be a safe and secure place for the debates tonight. We decree that Lester Holt of NBC will be fair and balanced as the moderator and that his questions will not be distorted. We also pray that neither he nor any other media source will misinterpret answers given by the candidates. We ask that You bestow Your Spirit of Wisdom on the person of Your choice, so that they can be clearly seen in their answers and actions. In the name of Jesus, amen. Today’s decree: God will help us see the candidate He is raising up to lead the nation for the next season as we intercede for the debates tonight!

Gather the People There are times in the scriptures where praying and doing what is right on an individual basis is simply not enough. On occasion, the Lord said, “Gather the people to me.” Some of those occasions were to listen to His instructions, such as at Mount Sinai, other times it was to fast and pray on behalf of the nation. On one such occasion in the book of Joel, the situation was so desperate that God said, “I want everyone to participate—the moms and dads, the children, even the newly married.” Joel’s call to prayer trumped even the honeymoon. America has come to such a desperate time. We must come together, set ourselves apart and give ourselves to the task of saving a nation through prayer.1 “Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber. Let the priests, who minister before the Lord, weep between the portico and the altar. Let them say, “Spare your people, Lord. Do not make your inheritance an object of scorn, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’” (Joel 2:16-17; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: This is a time to think corporately in intercession for the nation. Intercede and ask God to call the Body of Christ to prayer for this nation. Pray for Believers across all denominations, races and generations to gather together more and more in concerted intercession for our cities and country. Ask the Lord for a season to fast and pray with others nationally. Check out national prayer movements, such as the “Appeal to Heaven” movement and “As One – A National Appeal to Heaven.” Sign up and join in! What a Season! What a season we are in! What a challenging season, but what a great season of opportunity. Amazing opportunities, amazing spiritual warfare, amazing anger of the enemy to try to stop the purposes of God, which we know is not going to happen! We have to press through opposition to get to opportunity. Amazing season! “There is a real opportunity here for a great and worthwhile work, even though there are many opponents.” (1 Corinthians 16:9; GNB) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: If we could only see what was on the other side of the enemy’s ranting! Rejoice, therefore, knowing that there is something really good coming! Knowing that God has a plan, tell the enemy to back off and get out of your way! Remind him that God’s plans will come to pass! Thank the Lord for increasing your faith. Intercede now with that increased faith for all of those situations you feel are opposing you, your family and our nation from moving forward. A prayer you can pray: Father, You are up to something wonderful! You see the enemy’s attacks against me and against this nation and You know why! You know that he is really opposing You and Your plans! Satan, back off, because God’s plans will come to pass and I am going to be here watching when they do! Thank You, Lord, for increasing my faith through these trials. I am looking forward with expectancy to seeing how you resolve all of these situations in my life, the life of my family and in my nation. (Name out loud the things that are troubling you.) Tumultuous Times “Starting April 25th through October 20, 2016 will be the most tumultuous, confusing time this nation has known in over 160 or 170 years. We have now crossed over into a time that will determine our future. I want you to know how you are connected in the Body of Christ. I want you to know the Body of Christ will not be the same. You stand at a crossroad and must know how to turn! This is a time that America determines its future! But understand this: this is a time that those leading the Kingdom of God must move into their next identity.” (Chuck Pierce)1 “You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.” (Psalm 91:5-8; NIV) Give Him 15 minutes in prayer: If reading the above prophetic Word by Chuck Pierce makes you feel afraid, read Psalm 91:5-8 aloud a few times and ask the Lord for a revelation of His protection over you and your family. Pray for wisdom in these tumultuous times and ask the Lord to prosper you in the midst of the turmoil. Pray that America will make the right choices to move forward on the path of destiny God desires for the nation. Pray that Kingdom leaders receive revelation of their identity and boldness on how to move the Body of Christ forward in these challenging and confusing times. A prayer you can pray: Father, if I am tempted to feel afraid in these unsettled times, I will declare Your Word out loud until You grant the revelation that You are with me and nothing evil shall befall me when my trust is in You. Grant me the wisdom I need for this season and prosper me in the midst of it. I ask that the people of the United States will make the decisions necessary to keep us moving forward on Your Kingdom path. Give our leaders revelation of their identities for this new season so they can lead this Kingdom advance forward in Jesus’ name. Amen.
