Kavanaugh Hearings – Day 3
Yesterday was a long day of Senate Judiciary Committee members grilling Judge Kavanaugh on about every aspect of his life. They covered his judicial and political philosophies. They explored his judicial background and record. They asked about his tenure as a staff member in the Bush White House and many other things. They drilled down deep, as we knew they would. It has really been informative to be here at the Hart Senate Office Building praying on site with insight. How are you doing? Gaining clarity from Holy Spirit? The day today will be similar to yesterday, allowing each Senator on the Committee a second round of questions. Likely, these will be clarifying things the judge said yesterday. Each Senator will have 20 minutes to ask questions, making the day a bit shorter. Keep up the good work!
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season; its leaf will not wither, and whatever he does will prosper.” (Psalm 1:1-3; MEV)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
Pray that you and I clearly hear Holy Spirit and know how to pray for Brett Kavanaugh, the Senate Judiciary Committee members, and the future of our nation.
Pray that the Body of Christ will not grow weary and stop praying at this point. We need to stay strong on the wall and keep at it!
Intercede for the intercessors to avoid falling prey to the political spirit. It is so easy to listen to these hearings and divide along political lines, instead of unite over the Word of God. We must hear clearly!
Come against all confusion, protest, witchcraft and demonic attacks in the hearing room. These all cause confusion. We, through our prayers, can keep this stuff at bay, so the decision our nation needs can be made.
A prayer you can pray:
Lord, we pray for Dutch and the other leaders and intercessors at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings. Let them hear Holy Spirit clearly. This is not just about seating another justice, but it is about the furtherance of turning this nation toward Your purposes. Strengthen the intercessors. Keep the Ekklesia on the walls, Lord, through the day and into the night. Keep our focus on You. Do not let us be emotionally swayed by the political rhetoric we hear. If we will be able to intercede properly, we have to be able to focus on Christ and Your Word. Keep us pure of heart. We take authority over all of the enemy’s attempts to cause confusion, delay or derail the hearings, throw Judge Kavanaugh off, or simply disrupt. Holy Spirit, descend in Your peace and shalom. Lead, guide, and direct the entire important process. In Jesus’ name, amen.
The next Supreme Court justice will be a person who loves God and upholds the U.S. Constitution.
