An Unusual Vessel of Hope and Exposure
Let me share another dream with you today. The dreamer said, “I dreamed I was traveling with my family and we stopped to get gas. It was dark and rainy, and I noticed there was a gloominess over the people. On my way in to pay for the gas, I saw the advertisement for a book that was being sold inside. The book had a picture of President Trump and Melania on the cover. The title was, ‘Hope’. The subtitle was, ‘I am l Lighting Up the Darkness’. I immediately knew I wanted to purchased the book, and I thought, ‘Everyone needs to read this.’”
I don’t think this is saying that President Trump is lighting up the darkness, but rather that God is using President Trump to bring light to dark places. To those of us that espouse conservative Christian values, he is bringing renewed hope for the future of this nation. There are things we don’t like that the president does. No one is perfect, and I get that. He has, however, done several significant things well with his appointment of judges that are constitutional and pro-life. His own stand for life. His de-funding, as much as he can, of abortion. His position on Israel. His support for our military. His strengthening of the economy and support for business. He has done all of these things well. He is bringing hope in these areas.
God is also using him to expose darkness. If you are in the Deep State, your activities are being found out. Some of the corruption that has existed in our government is now being exposed. It’s not so much that President Trump was so discerning and started seeing it, knowing where it was, and exposing it. It’s more that the darkness hated him, and through others’ attacks against him, they are exposing themselves. So, in all these ways God is causing him to bring hope to us in this season.
“And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.” (John 3:19-20; ESV)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
Talk to the Lord about your feelings regarding President Trump.
Ask the Lord how to pray for this man, who is our president. The Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 2:2 to pray for those in authority over us. It does not say to only pray if we agree with their leadership.
Thank the Lord for the things President Trump has done that align with biblical values.
Pray for the ways the Lord is bringing exposure through this man. Ask the Lord to protect him from those who are being exposed.
Declare that exposures will come until we can clearly see what is really going on in this nation.
A prayer you can pray:
God, things in this nation are really heating up. There are many attacks against President Trump. There are many reasons for them. It’s hard to watch. Help us to sift out what is good and what needs intercession to align things with Your plan for America. We don’t believe You are finished with America yet. In Your mercy, bring the President to a place of humility. Show Him that humility is strength of character, not weakness. Let him understand that Your strength is made perfect in our weakness.
We do thank You for all the things he has done over the last 3 ½ years that have been beneficial for America. There have been many things that honor You. He has appointed judges that are constitutional and pro-life. He has taken a strong stand for life. Thank You for his de-funding, as much as he can, of abortion. Lord, he has remained friends with Israel and honored his promise and moved our embassy to Jerusalem. He supports our military. Also, he is an expert in the strengthening of the economy and support for business. You are using the anger of those who don’t agree with him to expose areas of darkness in this nation. President Trump is not purposefully doing this. They are exposing themselves! Shine Your light, Jesus, in the darkest of places. We know that light penetrates the darkness and the darkness cannot overcome it! Kingdom of God, come in this nation! Root the darkness out and give us Your shalom in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Today’s decree:
Light, shine in the darkness and expose, expose, expose!
