Day of Quiet Worship
After a time of spiritual battle and declaration, such as we have undertaken these last three days, it is always good to rest in the Lord. (See August 8 through 10 in the archives if you missed them.) The battle is done. He and His angels are at work and your place is to simply enjoy Him. There is nothing better! Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the beauty of His temple and in the depth of His love for you. Rest in Him today.
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” (Isaiah 26:3; NKJV)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
Worship Him in a soft place of rest and trust.
Pray His Word from 1 Chronicles 16:23-25, “Sing to the LORD, all the earth: Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day. Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples. For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He also is to be feared above all gods.” (GNT)
Just sit and enjoy His Presence for a few minutes. There is no need to say anything. Just be with Him.
A prayer you can pray:
Lord, I worship You. You are absolutely wonderful, incredible, magnificent and glorious! These last few days have been pretty intense as we undertook spiritual warfare for the nation. Thank you that we now get to enter into a time of quiet rest and trust in You, while You work on our behalf. (Pray 1 Chronicles 16:23-25 to Him.) I just want to sit here in Your presence now and just enjoy these few minutes of my day with You. I don’t do it enough, but Lord help me make it a daily habit! In Jesus’ name, amen.
Today’s decree:
Today I will enter Your rest and just very simply enjoy every second of being with You!
